SRS: Win2k3SE=>Win2k3

Here I Post all SRS versions (in case you need) made by ABC. -=We all waiting you! =-
SRS: will simply allow your Pocket Pc with Windows 2003 to rotate screen using some buttons on Today screen or just in your Settings.
Just Download and Run on your pc,it will extract the .CAB file,put this Cab to your Pocket Pc and run it.
This is NOT a final version,only some applications will run in Rotaded Screen,it is recommended to do a BackUp of your system before installing it.
You will need ROM version 1.72 on your Pocket Pc (some reports using on 1.60 too).

Greeting! Here are all the post I have downloaded for the SRS in a compressed SFX file. Hope it will help for those who want to put screen rotation in XDAII or enhance the feature of this great effort by abc and others in this community!
PS: I saved those post in mhtml. It may requires IE5.5 or above.

!!They are not working!! We need to manage them more..
Modified Dll's (in offset 10A from 15 to 14) are:

Here you are a Landscape supporting theme.
NOTE: You will need to refresh the screen moving to a theme,
to refresh go to START-Settings-Today-Items- and press OK.

SRS.cpl = 30/10/2004 (latest SRS?)
Download
After installation go to Start Menu -} Settings -} Today and select "WMSE" from the Today Themes List

This is the SRS CAB file included with Deafult Windows 2k3SE Theme. Nothing more.

With WMSE Theme he mean that Space Theme is supporting Second Edition Landscape screen.

After installing "space theme" & running IE for sometime in LS and trying to switch back to Portrait I got some deadly delays. Has anyone had this?

Not sure if it's related but I use NVD322 for screen rotation and WM2003SE themes and yes there is that delay and yes sometimes it is deadly.

No,it is not.
These are dll's from Windows Media Player 9 Series from a Windows Mobile 2k3 Second Edition.

What do you mean to "delays" ?

I Created a Landscape an a Portrait Phone Skin..maybe it can be useful in some..
I noticed Landscape Skin is installed but it is not appearing on phone..
So we first need to tweak Cprog.exe and some Dll's ? can someone give me a hint? (only changing Offset 10A from 15 to 14 doesnt help)

Aldo this is not exclusive to the 1.72 ROM, im using 1.66 ROm and no problems.

Need Help with getting the eFrostMinimize file

Sorry for asking this simple question, but I've tried to locate the efrostminize.exe or cab file on this forum but all the search result only show people mentioning this program instead of the download link to this file.
I've hard reset my PPC this morning due to some problem and now I realise i didn't have this program in my PC.
Can some kind soul point me to the right thread/location to get this SUPERB program??

Where is the NORMAL minimize.exe located? He talks about it being located in his ftouchflo thread but i see NO download for the normal minimize.exe.

uh, aren't they the same thing? just change the file name? i know the old version of efrostminimize.exe minimizes you to today screen, and the newest version simply minimizes the open task like it should. maybe that's what you mean?

Widgets WM 6.5

Hi All,
Please help! Do you know how to create widget for wm 6.5?
Do you have any idea from where to start and how to make it work?

I don't think the SDK is out yet but they are just like web pages. They even run inside a IE shell.

I'm no developer, but I downloaded a few sidebar apps and with just a few filename changes, I was able to get the text part of the widgets to run.
It should be pretty easy to get the images working, if a developer takes some time to look at it.

i remember having seen a video were wm6.5 was presented. The microsoft guy said that the widget engine is made by a common widget-standart so you could even use Opera or Firefox widgets ("so no secret microsoft stuff")...
But if have to tell: i understand only very little about programming so i could have got i wrong

I'm looking for cabs of the MSN weather, money and stock widgets. Anyone know where I can find them?

is there any way to modify windows xp widgets for a winmo phone?

I'm surprised there has not been any developments in this thread? In the SDK there are some examples and code to create your own Widgets. Seems like a pretty simple setup.

There is no specific folder where you have to put widget files. Save the .wgt file where you want or select Open if you download it to the device.

it installs the same way cab files do, copy it to your device and run to install.

Ensure that you have the following registry key:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\riapp\Shell\Open\Command]
@="wmwidgetinstaller.exe %1"
If the wmwidgetinstaller.exe is not registered the .wgt file will not be installed.

Unfortunately also the new version Windows Mobile 6.5 doesn't have a feed reader. Everyone with a Windows Mobile device sees XML code of RSS feeds. Therefore there are two options: You install a feed reader or I will modify my widget to display such feeds with the feed reader of my application.

Perhaps in the near future. Currently it is more important if users can install the widget on a physical device.

Problem with Titanium Weather Plugin on WM6.5 running on Rhodium

I downloaded and installed the Titanium Weather plugin from this thread

I installed it correctly then reinstalled it but whenever its running it is a large red X and no matter what zip code i put in, all of the panels are empty and the menu selection is just a degree symbol.
Can anyone help me?

Just overwrite the mscr file from other thread into \Program Files\TitaniumWeather\ folder

I´m still have the same prob even after updating the mscr file from link

Uninstall your old cab and try this cab (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35578&d=1245587119). Next time use the Q and A Section instead of creating a new thread.

I looked on the internet how I could change the lay-out of my touch flo 3D interface but I only found manila.
when I installed Manila customizer it needed a newer .net- thing.
I'm not confident with pocket pc-programming but how can I instal a working manila customizer?
does someone have other programs for a nicer lay-out?

Was it CF.net 3.5? That is the compact flash program from Microsoft. Do a search and you will find a download link. Many WM programs are made to work only with this program. It is free.

You got the desktop version of .net, you need the mobile version...just use the attached cab

1. Point your mouse over the word maxmanila.
2. Double click it to highlight.
3. Right click and select copy.
4. Up at the top of this page you'll see a drop down labeled "Search"; click it.
5. In that drop down right click and select paste.
6. Hit enter.

but nevertheless, I downloaded manila customizer 0.95 and I can run it. but I can not save anything :s

Just swipe your finger from the top right corner down, the options should appear or read the instructions in the original thread
