SD Card flashing locks at 003C0000...HELP!!!

I was trying to flash my TMO Pocket PC to 4.01 ENG and it locked at PRG 003C0000 and reset back to the bootloader. I thought it was just the card so I went to my backup and got the same thing so I popped my card into my reader/writer and tried to flash using the TMO original 3.14 and same thing again.
Is my XDA dead?
Please help me out.

and is your flash card big enough to hold 32M?
a card that says '32M' can usually only hold about 29M or 30M of data. which is not enough for rom flashing.

I have tried 2 different cards, they are both 128MB's

Maybe you should download a new rom and try writing that to a card.

I tried the TMO original from Yorch, a 4.01 cooked rom and the official 4.01

Confirming this is your first ROM upgrade on that unit? If so what boot loader version is it running?

[Q] Possibly bricked Titan/Mogul

I have done a lot of researching and haven't found a particular solution to my problem. I am fairly new to ROM flashing, so I may have made an unrecoverable mistake.
When I began to unlock the device, I used the TitanUnlocker which I now see that only should be used with pre-GPS. I thought it was successful and tried to flash the stock ROM then proceeded to the custom ROM. I have also tried to install the radio because of course, it doesn't have the radio like it should have. However, it won't boot and is in the following state:
When booting into WinMo, it sticks at the splash screen and also says No Radio. I have tried installing the radio via SD card, but the bootloader doesn't seem to recognize it and so it makes me believe that the microSD card slot is busted.
On the bootloader, it says:
TITA100
SPL-1.20.Olipro
I have tried flashing the stock ROM but it fails out at 11%.
Update for clarification: I cannot use Hard-SPL-MFG to get Olipro-2.40 since I cannot connect to activesync.
If there is anything you can think of to fix this, or the correct combination of bootloader, ROM, and radio, please let me know as this is my primary phone at the moment. Thank you!
Update: I also figure I'd try a different SD card (smaller) to see if that solves the problem with the updating via card.

Figured out the problem. The 2gig card was rejected and it flashed with a 512mb card.

you get this fixed? If not you can flash from bootloader. You just need to plug it in. But if I remember correct you need to be synced for bootloader 2.40. So you need to flash a pre gps 2.xx radio and flash a WM 6.0 rom. then you should be able to flash bootloader 2.40

[Q] Broken Micro-USB connector, can't flash stock LEOIMG.nbh but can flash custom ROM

I have a very strange problem and if anyone could help me I'd very much appreciate it as I can't find anything similar in the forums (with a solution) after a month of searching.
My HD2 has HardSPL3 and the ChuckyDroid ROM with Android on an SDCard.
The USB connector on the handset has stopped working (the metal D-shape thing wobbles about) so I cannot flash a ROM to it via the ROM Update Utility, only by the LEOIMG.nbh on an SDCard method works.
I need to send the handset back to Vodafone for a warranty repair, but obviously having HSPL3 and a custom WM ROM invalidates my warranty so I need to flash the stock ROM back to the phone to remove them both.
Problem is that I can flash any custom ROM I find to the handset using the SDCard method (Except Energy ROM's for some reason) but when I try to flash the stock Vodafone ROM using this method it fails to start the phones flash routine.
So I'm stuck with a phone I can't charge (using desktop charger for the battery atm) and I can't send back for repair.
Any ideas?????

dont worry too much about the rom, get a close to stock custom rom on there, use hspl2.exe to remove hspl (set it to 1.66.0000) and it should be fine.

Is it possible to flash HSPL2 onto it without using the USB cable?
The connector on the handset is totally borked so i can't use the PC for anything, just the SDCard flashing method. :/

no, you cant use any other means to run hspl.
as to why custom roms flash from card and stock dont, you must be doing something wrong. please outline your proceedure.

I downloaded the stock Vodafone ROM from the link in mskip's flashing thread.
Rename the .exe to .zip
Extract the zip
Rename the RUU_Signed.nbh to LEOIMG.nbh and copy it to an SDCard.
insert card into handset and reboot holding the volume down button.
Same procedure I use for flashing custom ROM's.

hmm, very strange, all i can suggest is trying several different stock roms. dont forget to check what your bootloader says for spl, because even a failed stock flash can remove hspl and reset stock spl.

I downloaded the ROM directly from HTC support site but same thing occurs when I try to flash it. HSPL is definitely still on there too.
I find it weird that I can flash any custom ROM except the Energy ROMs, I'm assuming that perhaps these have more in common with stock ROM's than the others.
I'm lost atm!

a long shot, but are you extracting the ruu_signed before copying it to the sd card, or are you drag/dropping it directly to the phone from within winrar/winzip? I've heard of that causing problems with corruption before, though I can't remember the files involved or the context.

appart from that, thoughts would be, make sure the sd is freshly formatted, full format, not quick format, fat32, get the roms from different sources, maybe even use different browsers to download them, maybe even try the wwe 3.14 rom, even if it flashes the spl and then wont load the rom, you can always plead ignorance with them, it's a stock spl after all. (Course, they may just tell you to do one, so only try that if you are prepared to argue)

I've tried it both of those ways, on my Macbook Pro and on another Linux box and from Win2K in a VM.

It's a contract vodafone that came unlocked when it arrived, had it nearly a year now.

I've tried two different downloads of the ROM (htc.com and the one in mskips thread) and two different sdcards, the 2GB that came with it and a Class 4 Kingston. I'll try formatting both cards using the sdcard.org formatter in Win2K and see if that makes a difference.
My desktop charger has now decided to die on me so I can't try anything until my new one arrives from Hong Kong in a week or so. :/

i have two Hd2's the one phone has all the bells and whistles, hspl/rom/radio/android. All done without any issues flashed using the SD card, The other is stock, Its my wifes and she wants to have the same coolness level to her hd2 so she asked me to hook it up and that's where the problem begins.
both phones are the same, purchased at same time. same SD card.
I formatted the SD card did the HSPL both as 2.08 and 2.08000 or whatever it is and i am unable to flash any "Custom roms" or radios. I tried off the card first and it hung at the bootloader at "Serial". i attributed this to the card maybe being
" 16GB class 2" from online searching, So i used and old 2GB card i had lying around and same thing no go. No big deal i figured as surly i could flash anything through the exe files that come with the roms and radios through the computer. This also failed, The program loads and recognizes the phone and the current build and acknowledges what rom its going to be "updating" too but then once it hits the loading screen it hangs at 0 % then returns and communication error. And takes we through the recovery steps.
Finally as a last ditch effort i went and downloaded the new 3.14 update from TMO mainly to see if that would update without failing and it did with out a hitch...weird...?
i now have android running off the SD card with the new stock Wmo update and everything is working okay
but that still leaves me stumped why i was unable to flash any radios or roms........? even from the computer

You need HSPL3 Because your stock SPL is 2.10. They should update that sticky... SPL 2.8 worked with the first shipped ROM. Once 2.13 started shipping it no longer works. HSPL3 yo.
Stock roms from T Mobile don't require HardSPL so they will flash no matter what SPL you are running.

[FIXED] Cant install ANY radio on a TMOUS HD2

Having a problem with a friends TMOUS HD2.
It was Borked when trying to install Android (Nand) and he gave it to me to try and fix.
Managed to get rid of MAGLDR by Task 29ing and flashing an 'EnergyROM' BUT.... it seems there is NO radio on the phone.
Trying to install the official TMOUS upgrade via the SD Card method fails at the radio stage with the error:
'00018003
LEOIMG.nbh - Fail
RADIO_V2 - RSA Fail'
Trying to install the official ROM via USB instead of SD Card, it always fails at 8%.
trying to install any radio via USB fails at 96%....
This has me confused as all hell.... any ideas??

What SPL or HSPL is on the HD2? This could be your problem.

Lots of similar threads if you look around carefully,, "stuck radio" its commonly called.
There are very very few successful ones, tho,I'm sorry to say. One or two along the lines of using certain test roms in a certain order, and such.
Good look, keep hopeful, but prepare for dissapointment.

Done both of those. Still fails when installing the radio,
If I do the radio ONLY, it fails at 98% wether its via USB or via SD Card. If I install the full official ROM, it fails at 8%, which is where its installing the radio.....
Been using HSPL 2.08 and SPL 2.08 ....

just for grins can you run HSPL4 and flash SPL 3.03 then try flashing a 3.04 ROM?

you might also try this:
1) flash task29
2) flash 2.15.00 via RUU,
this might work if for some reason some remnants of the ROM is somehow preventing your HD2 correctly communicating during radio flash.

Hey cerrect me if I am wrong but the OP can use the .nbh file of th e 2.15.00 radio to run the Task 29 on the HD2 but also flash the radio to the HD2. I mean Task 29 just needs a .nbh file to work.
Go check out post #2 and #6 of the [REF] Task 29 (format) without drivers, without mtty. thread.

I got the latest tmous upgrade rom from their site ( Using the Serial number to ensure it was the right ROM.)
T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_3.14.531.1
When I try to install it, it fails at 8%.
I purchased PSAS and used it to strip all the files out of the NBH, then I rebuilt it WITHOUT the radio.
The ROM installs fine now BUT.....
If I try to install the radio only, I get an error at 96%
So the phone is FINE to install a ROM on, but CANT install a Radio.... AT ALL.
Used HSPL 3.03 and 2.08, Also tried 3.03.0000 and 2.08.0000.
Did the task29 with the radio.... failed at the same point.
Tried making a goldcard with PSAS, but when I do that, it gets stuck on 'loading' when trying to flash the radio from SD Card (Tried 2 SD cards, both 2GB and the same thing happened.)
Contacted HTC Europe and they wont take the phone as its a US version
Dont suppose anyone has JTAG hardware and wouldnt mind trying to fix this as it seems it is my only option now

How I did it:
PURE LUCK
Installed HSPL 2.08 on the phone
Downloaded T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_3.14.531.1 from the tmobile website.

booted the phone into bootloader and installed the ROM via USB ( without radio)
Formatted a 2gb SD card in windows.... FAT32 4096kb cluster size
Radio 2.15.40.14 renamed to LEOIMG.nbh and put at the root of the SD card.
Popped it in the phone and booted. Started loading the nbh. Failed at 96%.
Rebooted. Started loading the nbh. Failed at 96%.
Rebooted. Started loading the nbh. Failed at 96%.
Rebooted. Started loading the nbh. Failed at 96%.
Rebooted. Started loading the nbh. Failed at 96%.

Just install HSPL on your phone, Flash a ROM that has no radio (a custom ROM such as the EnergyROM would do fine) using USB/bootloader method then get the radio you need onto a freshly formatted (FAT32 with 4096kb cluster size) SD card LESS than 4GB in size. Rename the radio 'LEOIMG.nbh' and then just KEEP TRYING. Perserverance is the name of the game here.
I made over 50 attempts before one went through.
Oh.... gettting the ROM (with no Radio) onto the phone took a few attempts aswell. Think it was 3 or 4, but I kept going because the install was failing at different places each time)

Yup. Wasted €30 on PSAS

hmm..
so in short.
I just put 2.08 HSPL on it, then install a CUSTOM rom.. after that, i get back to the bootloader and insert the goldcard with the freshly new 2.15 radio and when it gives a RSA failed error i just try like 50 times???

Worked for me. Dont even need a goldcard as they dont work with HSPL installed in the phone... only with stock SPLs
