Hi all,
I recently tried Froyo and it upgraded my radio. I then reflashed CM 5.0.6 and now my youtube doesn't work properly and I can't play videos that I could before on my sdcard.
Is it radio related? If I wanted to revert my radio which image should I use? I'm on Rogers in Canada.
Thanks.
If you moved back from 2.2 (with the new radio) to 2.1, you should downgrade ur radio... apparently video enc/dec is linked to the radio... there are a few posts mentioning this link!!

Hey guys,
I tried posting this question in the Titan upgrading forum.
Running DCD 2.2.0 ROM and it's stable,
However, when I connect my FM transmitter to the phone it doesn't
send any sound through.
Resco Radio is working fine. Never, had this problem with other ROM's
I tried to update the audio drivers, but it tells me that I have the latest version.
I really need for this to work. Thanks for any suggestions.
Michael
I believe that this is a known issue with the leaked 3.16 upgrade. I'm not aware of any workarounds.
do you know guys a good fm transmitter for titan?? and where to buy
Oh well.
I am going back to 1.6.10 as we speak.
Tried the WM 6.1 and GPS.
Would be nice to have these features, but want my Streaming Radio more than the GPS.
Hopefully, the official release won't have these problems.
It has been mentioned over at the Modaco Forums that for AT&T Nexus one users the 3g reception is better if downgrading radio from shipped version EPE54B to ERE27 Radio. I want to try this but before I do I want to know that since I installed the latest Cyanogen Rom with gapps for EPE54B will the apps no longer work when I flash my radio to ERE27? Thanks in advance.
I find it strange that the ERE27 radio would be better for ATT 3G... but i you want to try that, go ahead and flash the radio via fastboot... no available ROM or firmware is tied to a radio version for the N1 and it won't disturb ur apps or settings...
craig thanks for the quick response, I find it strange too but take a look at the thread
http://android.modaco.com/content/g...exus-one-downgraded-radio-improved-reception/
it seems that a lot of people are having success with this. Another question if it doesnt matter what apps you have etc then why does cyanogen list the gapps for the different radio versions?
Well, with each new iteration of the official [leaked] firmwares, the cooks incorporate the updated Google Apps software and some firmware modules from within that ROM. So for a particular cooked ROM release, a specific Google Apps pack would work optimally with it. The radio on the other hand is simply the latest available at the time the ROM was released...
Sorry if this a repost but I'm new the the Magic (I've got a Nexus One as my main phone) and I'm not having any luck searching for an answer.
I'm running CM 5.0.8 on my Rogers Magic and to get it working with Rogers I had to downgrade to the Dream radio (version 3.22.26.17) and I'm getting poor reception and battery life. I'd like to go back to the 6.35 radio, but I don't believe it works with CM. Is this just a kernel issue? Anyone know how to get them working together?
Bump, maybe some progress has been made on this? I am wondering the same thing. Is it possible at all or will it ever be?
I think you can .. not 100% sure ..

Hi only found out about rooting once I updated to 2.2 and started researhing to change back so I know 2.2 is unrootable.
Im actually not that bothered with Froyo, my problem is that they changed the radio rom on the update and now I get no signal in my area or house. My wife has exactly the same tarriff, phone everything because we got them at the same time, the only difference now is she didnt update to Froyo and hers still works perfectly.
So my question is could the 2.2 ruu that I updated to be downloaded, change the radio rom to the same as what it was on 2.1 and flashed to my phone or will the bootlaoder still not allow it?

Try flashing one of 2.x RUUs here... http://www.shipped-roms.com/shipped/Buzz/
I don't think you can flash a radio with the official update, since you can't root...
you can't do that because hboot checks rom's signature.
As we all know in U8800 they have given radio hardware (chip) but not software which we can use with some ROMS like MIUI (I tried only one with radio so). But I am using radio on official ROM only after rooting .
Try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mikersmicros.fm_unlock&feature=more_from_developer#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEwMiwiY29tLm1pa2Vyc21pY3Jvcy5mbV91bmxvY2siXQ... in google play it will show incompatible but It is working fine for me. Thought to share with you, as all the times I am only coming with Questinos
