Cyanogenmod 6 - Low volume in calls

I'm having problems with the in call volume. It's really low in regular calls, but if I make a call on skype it is really loud. I tried applying an Audio Hack if found on cm forums but it just caused the phone to keep crashing. Anyone know what to do? It can't be because I'm on At&t right?
Have u tried to just reflash it to see of that worked? Or do another wipe and flash.

Just reflashed and I think it worked. Gonna test it a few more times though. Thanks slinky1914.
im having the same problem, everything was fine until i flashed the #teamfenix2.0 mod and now I can barely hear phonecalls! Im assuming they can hear me fine though. Ive reflashed and everything still the same problem.

[Q] Stuck on headset mode?

idk what happened to it but suddenly my mytouch4g is stuck in headset mode... this wouldn't bother me that much except for the fact that I can't call or the speaker doesn't work for games/movies aswell... I have tried hard resetting it and nothing works. because of some reasons, i can't return the phone or exchange it. is there some program that bypasses headset mode? i know speakers still work because the FM radio app still plays out of speakers when switched to that mode, and the alarms work, but not being able to call people kinda defeats the purpose of the cell phone itself....
right now im using a samsung gravity 1. if anyone knows that phone, you will know that it is a pretty big downgrade from the mytouch 4g... haha thanks for any help in advance!
Try cleaning the contacts in the headphone jack.

i have. i have also tried putting in headphones and then resetting hte device, and removing it after it reboots but that doesnt work either.... its weird because it detects when it is in headphone mode but once i remove the headphones the icon becomes the headset icon; the one with the microphone+headphones
Is your myTouch running stock ROM or have you flashed anything?

Help, my S4 Front Speaker stopped working properly

Hello XDA! My Galaxy S4 Front Speaker stopped working properly recently. All ROMS I've tried, it's still the same, even Stock. When I call, there is sound at first, then gone, but speakerphone works. I've tried clicking receiver in the Service Menu (*#0*#) and there is sound! I have sound in my front speaker during calls like normal, but is gone after I reboot and I have to do it again. Is there a permanent fix? Thanks in Advance!

I am not sure if this will help or not but if you have anything like Beats, Viper and DSP Manager installed
or flashed you must uninstall them. Also if you have any audio mods (audio louder flashable zips) you
need to remove/delete those kinds of mods as well.
If I were you I would also backup any audio apps I had which are sound/music related and then
uninstall them all except for the stock music player which comes with stock roms.
Then reboot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot the phone and test your
phone and see if this solves your problem.
If worst comes to worse and it still has the issue then you will need to flash a 100% Stock ODIN flash
non-rooted rom which is the same model that came with your phone and test it again see if its working
properly.
If its still NOT working properly then its a hardware issue, hopefully your phone still under warranty.
If it is you need to return the phone and either ask for an exchange or repair.
Good luck!

try doing a full wipe then flash a stock rom
I went back to Full Stock with wipe.. it did the same thing.. I still need to go to Service Menu. Would anyone possibly know if the Google Play Edition ROMS have a service menu if i flashed that instead?

On the dialer dial "#0*# then click the "call" button (General Test Mode)
it will give you a lot of options including "speaker" testing.
Good luck!
It takes less time to click the THANKS button then typing "thank you"...
even for aosp based roms?

Speaker issue
Hello there, I'm also suffering with the same issue.
Did the Test with *#0*# and no sound coming from the speaker at all, only from the receiver on the top of the phone.

[Q] Problem with the speakerphone

Hello everybody. I need help regarding a serious issue I have. When I am in call and I activate the speaker phone the other party can barely hear me saying the sounds is really low. But when I tried recording a sound it has no problems whatsoever. I have no idea why this happens but its really annoying me. I would really appreciate if someone suggests me a solution on this one, cuz I couldn't find any by now.
Something is most likely blocking the top microphone of the phone.

Anyone please give me suggestion on what should I do, this is really annoying me..

Have you removed any cases etc. as mentioned above? If you have, to rule out any software complications flash a factory image.

Thing is when I use voice recorde, I hear it loud as f***, so there're no issues. Only when speaking and launching the loud speaker they say they hear me very low. And yes my display was broken and they replaced it, maybe they ****ed something, but since the Sound Record works well, where's the logic?
If there is a case it is possible that when you record sound, the device is recording through the bottom microphone which is not obstructed, and the top microphone you use during calls may be obstructed resulting in your issue.
Aside from that, maybe there is some sort of volume/speaker/microphone app that was installed that is messing with your mic levels during a call. I would still suggest to remove any 3rd party accessories and if the issue still occurs, than backup your data and flash the factory image.

Did you call the same person each time you were testing it?

No, tested with a lot of people with normal voice calls. Also tried Viber, Facebook calls - same stuff. My logic is this: since I am recording my voice with a voice program from miles away, that isn't possible to be the lower mic. So the speakerphone should work fine. But on calls its a different story, i tried without the speakerphone to speak away from the phone (mimicking as if it is a sound rec app) they hear me even worse. What could be the issue? I am confused
anyone...please answer guys, need desperately your help
help

No, but it hasn't anything to do with this. Tried several roms and kernels same results. I sent my phone for repair broken screen, after 1st delivery they even had the front camera not centered so i returned it back. Maybe the mic is broken? But if so, how come voice recording works well?

Mic NOT Working

I update to Android N clean install I flashed factory image. For some reason when I make phone calls I can hear the other side but they can't hear me. Also Skype and Snapchat also don't work because the mic doesnt. Any suggestions?
