anyone knows how to save the photo attachment from the emails? i DID search and can't find anything about it.

when you open the picture. Long press on it and the option to save should pop up.
did that but there's no "save" option. i'm trying to save a photo from an email which was sent by an iphone.

Is the pic embedded in the e-mail or just an attachment? When you open it, does it open in the sense picture viewer app?
it is embedded i think, coz it just shows up as the email body.

If it is embedded in the email you should be able to click and hold and it should give you an option to save down. Are you reading the email through the phone or are you reading it through opera or IE
i'm reading it through the phone
have you tried checking the image properties. It could show the text as one file and the image as another. In which case you should be able to long press on the image file and save.

I was wondering if their is anyway that i could Put a pic on all the Contacts i call the most or the ones saved in the Today Screen. What i mean is like Having a pic of their face instead of just saying the name.

Use PocketCM, it gives you the pictures that you want, a new intercface adn it's extremly skinnable.

if you are using outlook for you contacts just go down to edit then change photo
if you go in to the contact list...find your contact...and then edit their information, there is a section that says "Picture"...just click on it and choose a picture you want to have show up for that specific contact.
as a happy HD2 owner, i have the following questions, if possible to be done:
1. Is it possible to link a Facebook Profile to a contact with full finctionality Except Contact PHOTOs! i have good photos of people in address book that i dont want them to be replaced with Facebook photos.
2. is it possible to open a TAB IN BACKGROUND in Opera!! [like opera PC]
3. My Lock screen does not show 3 locks [i.e as in the manual] when there is a message or a notification! it has only one sliding lock showing numbers of notifications. i.e. no direct unlock that goes to messages or so...
4. is there a good SMALL software that can TURN on/off Airplane mode automatically at scheduled times?

1. Yes, in the contacts option you can choose whether it uses Facebook, Outlook or another photo for the contact.
2. Not that I know of
3. You click on the main lock when you have unread messages/emails/missed calls and more slidey dudes come up that you can slide to go to the appropriate tab.
4. Probably... can't help there.

5. i cant find a way to "SEND / Recieve " all email accounts at once! each has to be done separately!!!

4. The send key if held, takes you to a menu where you can choose to turn off phone(airplane). It is definitely possible to do it on a schedule. I saw it once but wasn't interested due my concern about power management gremlins.

You can set scheduling for each account, and turn them on and of when you want.
I know you want a way to do them all at once manually, but I can only offer this suggestion to do it automatically.

When you edit a contact if you click on the area their picture is in the top right corner it will come up with a menu on where to upload the new photo. Hope that helps.

Hi.
How to copy text on web or email ? I have tried but unable to select any text.
Menu, more select text. Then wipe you finger across the text you want to copy. When you take your finger of screen its automatically copied it for you.
I`m not sure if this is what you have tried?

thanks, how to do it on Email app ? I'm not found the same way to copy selected text while read a email.
I'm afraid it's not possible in the Emails.

Use the mobile version of gmail in the browser. I have no idea WHY, but the mobile version of gmail is way way better than the app. Kind of embarrassing for Google is you ask me. I wonder if they even consider working on their email app?

Ok guys I'm confused I have set my googlemail to push through, now the missus tried to send me a picture today see picture one, it wont let me download says file isn't safe, yet if i go on the pc and forward it to my self i can download the picture???
Any advice, its set to download entire message and attachment up to 500k,

I had the same problem last night. My wife sent me a photo from her Blackberry, and I got some error message about security when I tried to open the photo.
Well, this frustrated me, so I aimed to figure it out, and as of about 30 minutes ago, I have.
In my Outlook e-mail inbox (which accesses my Gmail), press, AND HOLD, on the long, gibberish file name. A little window will popup that says, "save as...".
Select that, and then a new screen will open up. Change the "name" to something simple, and then the photo will save properly. To verify that it has worked, just go into albums, and you should see the photo.

Hello everyone I have tried searching for this but cant not find it. the one link that I did find returned a dead page.
What I am asking today is in reguards to CyanogenMod 7 and messaging. I text a lot and find it annoying that the "Me" in messages does not have my picture in it. Before I went from stock everything to CM7 I had the ability to edit me contact card and this allowed my pic to display for my messages sent. But now I can not find out how to do. I was told to do Settings > Call Settings > Additional Settings > My Phone Number but I do not see additional settings.
While it is not a big thing it does annoy me as my OCD kicks in and I see received pics of the contact but an android bot as my pic. Can anyone help me out with this.

I'm not sure if this is the right way or what, but it's pretty easy. Just create a new contact using your own phone number. Name the contact 'Me'. Then select a picture of yourself to set as the photo for the 'Me' contact. Save your changes. Your picture should now appear in the text mesaging threads as the Me contact.

I will try this to see if it will work, but that will last till my OCD kicks in when I try to make my contacts look better LOL.
Will post back if it does/does not work.
Edit- Thanks k2buckley that did it. Appreciate the help with that. But having "Me" in my list will bug me in a bit I am sure. Stupid OCD LOL

It should work. I use that method on every AOSP rom I've ever used, because I also hate seeing the blank spot on the 'me' contact. Should work no problem.

My text has my gmail picture....I think I uploaded it to latitude once and it got associated with gmail.
Anyhow, you should be able to add a contact pic to your gmail and it will show up.
My phone also has the same picture in my contacts where I have put all my information for myself. I didn't associate it with this contact, so it must be done through Gmail.
