Music playlists - How do i sync them to my N1?

Ok this is the biggest annoyance I've had with android since getting rid of my iPod touch and using this instead.
How do I get my playlists from iTunes, WMP, or Foobar2000 to work with Android? I can sync over folders, files, music, etc, just fine.. playlists show up but they're empty with no music in them!
Halp? I googled around and nothing seems useful/worth spending money on.
look up doubleTwist. i think it does itunes playlists
Foobar: right click playlist, save as, save it on the nexs phone.

great program i use it. i also say go with Double Twist, I just dont like the face i gotta mount it everytime i connect it. might just down load the program in the market so it auto mounts when connected to DT
I use Salling Media Sync on my mac and it works great for synching iTunes playlists and iPhoto albums.
double twist isn't detecing the playlists I made in iTunes... How do I fix this?
There are many Windows programs that will do this, one or two for the Mac for ZERO for Linux. ON A LINUX BASED DEVICE! (sorry for yelling, this has just driven me crazy for over a year...sigh)

not to start an OS war but this is why people still use windows and not Free, 'stable', more capable, less resource hungry, Linux systems.
i use vlc. i make my playlists with vlc and save it as m3u. drag and drop in the microsd.

The music app recognizes the playlist?
I sync my entire music folder with my nexus one, with sync toy
i use Zune for music on the PC, and the Nexus One reads the .wpl playlist that i made with the zune software
Your issue might be that you are trying to sync DRM protected music. You can rebuy them from the iTunes store without it for half the price of each song. It has a little icon in there for that process. Apple took off DRM, but was of course stubborn about it.

Yup, as long as your file names are identical between your computer and phone.
Directory structure doesn't matter.

which is the best app for sync my xperia with itune?

i had ipod touch and now i want to sync all my music(and playlists) on my xperia x10. i found some programs like tynesync lite and another one like an itun for androind on my windows. the one is creating the playlist as i wont put it import only 20 tracks in each playlists. the other program is trasfering only the tracks and is not grating the playlists. is there any other applications which creates playlists and import in them more than 20 songs?
Mod. edit: not (yet) t&a related, moved to general
Just use pc campanion(its preinstalled to your sd card).
Hiya,
I use an app called Isyncr...
It copies an itunes playlist of your choice over to your sd card (and therefore mediascape)!!

mediascpae can only sync 20 tracks per playlist? if yes is there any way to increase this issue?
Try DoubleTwist, it's actually made for syncing itunes and android.
It also has other sync functions likeictures, video, music, subscriptions and also has android marketplace.
(im apparently not allowed to post links :S, anyway just google and you will find it)

Engadget put up an article about an Android app which claims to sync with iTunes on Windows and OSX. It's free for a limited time while it's in beta it seems. It looks like a capable client. It's called DoubleTwist.
http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/03/android-upgrades-itself-with-doubletwist-media-player-app/
Edit: Missed IceBre4ker post. Oh boy.
interesting post.
After viewing the google I/O keynote and all the hoo haa about froyo, there is an over the air sync on froyo where you can actually play your media files on your home computer via your 3G or wifi. Is there an app for that right now?
Doubletwist and the like seem to only work when the USB is connected. The over the air streaming app would provide the ultimate music experience as my music collection is over 80 GB.
Froyo will take forever to be released for our device. A cooked rom might suffice, but until that time, an app would really help us out here.

What are you guys using to Sync Music?

Coming from an iPhone I'm looking for something to repalce iTunes. A wireless sync program would be perfect, but wired will work. It also be nice if it could sync with a backup program to make full system backups like the iPhones does.

double twist is free and it works great BUT it doesn't do over the air and I don't know of a service that does this for free. the next best thing (actually better than double twist) is something called missing sync.
Froyo will include ota music as part of the Simplify Media team.
Doubletwist is a great program and I would recommend it to anyone. However, if you don't mind spending a few bucks you can get The Missing Sync which will sync your music right from iTunes through it's own worm whole.
I dont mind getting rid of Itunes...always was a laggy pos.
TuneSync. It's awesome if you're an iTunes user and don't want to re-home your library. It's a background app that will sync playlists over Wifi. Has OSX and Windows versions.
I'm really happy with it. Free version is limited to 20 songs per playlist. I bought the full for like $4.
It will also reverse sync any mp3's bought from the Amazon store on the handset. That's a pretty nice feature.
EDIT: Missing Sync looks cool, but it's $40. Syncs a lot more than music, but if you just want to sync music, TuneSync is your app at 10% of the price.
doubletwist always freezes on me. I use Songbird to sync.
I use isyncr straight from iTunes

I've been using double twist which is almost as much of a dog as itunes is on my machine, but tune sync looks good, I'll have to check that out.

I use dropbox... just trow my music in the folder, and then download them to my music file...

sjwaste beat me to it. I use Tunesync. Syncs with whatever playlists i want form iTunes wirelessly without me doing a darn thing.
drag and drop doesn't work for you?
I haven't bothered to sync a bunch of music, I am mostly using Last.FM android app, but I recommend mediamonkey, just set it up as generic usb device
tho if you have lossless files, on the fly conversion requires the non-free gold version.

I like to lower the bit rate. What I play on my home stereo and my EVO are two different things.
Windows Media Player can sync music as well.
But there's nothing easier than just drag&drop.
Screw iTunes.
iSyncr. Love making playlists on my PC in iTunes, easy to organize songs I want/don't want by checking/unchecking in iTunes. Isn't free but is very easy to use.

I haven't used it yet but DoubleTwist is supposed to be the answer to iTunes syncing on Android.
Buy iSyncr, works well I use it.
Plus it syncs over wifi too.

I just wish there was a free trial that wasn't so limiting.
doubletwist doesnt work with libraries over a few hundred mp3's, it becomes too laggy to use, I dont know what the point of it is
I use AirDroid, I just open iTunes and drag and drop the song into the AirDroid window. It is super easy and fast to connect since it uses a barcode scanner to connect wirelessly over LAN. Its not as easy as iTunes since you still have to navigate to directories but for Android its the best.

I think the $4 is well worth it. For me syncing works flawlessly. It also syncs play counts and works with many music players:good:

Syncing Music with S4

Is anyone else having issues finding programs to sync their music with the Galaxy S4? I have an SD Card so I would like for my music to go there. I tried doubletwist, on mac, and it didn't even recognize the S4. So I went to windows and MediaMonkey recognized it, but it wouldn't sync to my card only my phone storage. I was a long time iPhone user and loves iTunes, yes I loved iTunes lol.
Anyone have any suggestions?! I'm all ears.

i have itunes on my windows pc. I used Easy Phone Sync, and it synced all my music in itunes to my microSD card on my S4
Why use a sync application? The phone mounts just like a usb drive or an external HD.. I don't get it?

Playlists is the main reason. I just sync my playlist on my iPhone and it would automatically sync the songs to my phone. So I don't have to do it one by one.
I've used iSyncr to sync my iTunes library for over a year. It works great.
