personally I just grabbed it should I need one for warranty ... I will continue to stick to xda-dev-custom ROMs

i just tried to install this rom on my unlocked td2 - it does not work. installer complains that this rom is not suitable for the phone.

I,ve got:
Htc Topaz
ROM-version: 2.16.413.1 (67041) SVE (Windows 6.5 Pro - but when I bought the phone, it came with 6.1 Pro)
ROM-date: 10/14/09
Radio: 4.49.25.17
I want to backup my stock ROM, before I install any custom ROM. I've found this guide. It is for Xperia, but I can use it if I change to a Topaz kitchen and a SVE (swedish) stock ROM.
Questions:
1. Which kitchen should I use for my Topaz in this guide instead of the one he has given? Is this kitchen the correct one?
2. I've searched the net for Swedish Stock ROM. And I've found two different stock ROMs - one for 6.1 and one for 6.5. Which one of them should I use if I now got 6.5, but I bought the phone with 6.1?
2.1 If I should use the 6.5 stock ROM...
is this SVE version the correct one?​

How can I downgrade my x2?
I use clean WM and WM 6.5.2 is cleaner then WM 6.5.3 in ROM from SE.

For THAT you will need for hard-spl..

Of course if someone hacks SEUS to retrieve old images from the updateservice, then i gues you could downgrade..

Downgrade works
It did work for me. I installed the UK MR2 (waiting for the Spanish version) and later downgraded to MR1.

How did you manage to downgrade to MR1? What i understand from SEUS, it always get's the latest version available.. But, if you hack the cab i created (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=684323), and create a cab for a language that does not have the upgrade, then that will naturally install the "latest" version (in this case MR1).
But then you have a Spanish version of your phone..

This is just a theory, But if Spain are still waiting for MR2 would it not be possile to use the cabs that hertell has created to set the version you are using and to then upgrade to MR1 Spain BUT install the cabs from MR2 by exiting the customization screen??
Would this not install WinMo 6.5.2 without needing HardSPL

Yes, this would install the spanish version, but then you will have a spanish windows laying under whatever system you have.
BUT.. I noticed that ALL rom-cabs (except about 5 cabs) are the same, so the cabs check from somewhere which language your phone runs, and display from this the proper language.
So, we might have here again a possible way of fooling the installed cabs (applications) to display a different language than the underlying phone in real is running...

Hi, what I did was download the MR1 ROM (any language willddo), extract all the cabs, clear phone mem and just after the screen allignment pres hard reset. After restart it will ask if you want to continiou customization, press NO.
Copy the extracted cabs from the MR1 ROM to your memory card and install every one of them. Some will ask to reboot...press NO.
Agter all the cabs have been installed restart your device, shut down, press volume down and start button, connect to SEUS and tataaaa...your back at MR1 windos 6.5.2.

Yes, but which language did you refer to? SEUS updates automatically to the latest rom for that particular language you installed..
And to avoid the hassle of installing all cabs, then check my other thread over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=684323
All cabs in all languages are exactly the same. It's just about 5 cabs that differ...

You need to download the cabs for your prefered language here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683619
Then follow the instructions I posted earlier.

install hslp 1.56 olinex to your device.
once you have this on your device, you will be able to flash to any custom rom for blackstone.

Forget about speed in WM6.5. It's not designed for Blackstone. Stay with 6.1

1.you can test my 6.1 rom that im currently making if you want? (private message me if you would like to test it)
2.personally i found the speed is slightly faster on 6.1roms
3.visit the xda touch hd wiki for the original rom dumps, its too much work to dump the rom yourself so just download one thats already been done. to be honest, you wont even need it.. there is a wide variety of differant custom roms avaliable. (+ the original roms are crap )

Check blackSTONEhenge ROMs.
I see hungarian flag under cook's name, and I think Wajk cooked at least one ROM in/with hungarian language...

Sunnysoft and HardSPL

I heave topaz and i want to update Rom to the newest version. I found "Topaz_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_2.53.479.3 Windows Mobile 6.5" on sunnysoft.
roms from this side they look original and I dont-know whether i needs HardSPL ?
I will be installing this rom and "language localization" ("Language pack Diamond 2 2.53.479.3").

to be able to upgrade WM 6.5 rom before you need to upgrade HarsdSPL first, and HardSPL are fully supported on WM 6.5 is HardSPL 1.83.OliNex
