How to upgrade from wm 6.0 to wm 6.1

Hi out there !
Can someone explain to me in a a few words how to upgrade my HTC TOUCH CRUISE tfrom wm 6.0 to wm 6.1
Send me the best link to obtain the upgrade to wm 6.1 please ?
Afraid to send my apparatus to the digital graveyard !

It is not possible to do an upgrade (yet), there is no update available.
The only thing you can do is to use another (cooked) ROM, read the sticky threads and the wiki on how to do that.

Sorry I meant: I wanted to upgrade from wm 6.0 to wm 6.1, how to do that ?

Again,
A pure upgrade is not possible because there is no HTC upgrade available of Windows Mobile 6.1 for our Touch Cruise.
You can only flash your ROM and use a cooked ROM that has a custom Windows Mobile 6.1. To do this, click on the link that fktsndr provided here above and read other sticky posts.

If you want to install 6.5, then after hard spl download the latest version 24 present in the same page. Hope I helped you.
Edit: Dear I just noticed that your device is Htc Diamond. So please go this forum. You will find the correct version for your device.

yup, i have been using this rom, its stable.

Downgrade 6.5 htc touch hd

i in a accident upgradet to 6.5 from 6.1 and i don't like the new version of windows mobile so i would just ask if there isn't a way i can go back to the old 6.1.

Yes, you can get a 6.1 ROM then do what did you do when you have upgraded to 6.5 ROM ^^

Depending on whether your using USPL or HSPL you have 2 methods.
USPL
1: If you currently have a wm6.5 based rom and you used USPL to get to it, simply re-use USPL and then flash wm6.1 based rom.
HSPL
2. If you are using HSPL 1.56 simply flash a wm6.1 1.56+ based rom. If you want to go to a pre 1.56 based rom you will need to use HSPL 1.14 first.

downgrade my touch hd
Hi,
I also want to downgrade my touch hd back to windows6.1 (dutch version)
The current version now running on my hd is 6.5 (english) but i really don't like it.
can anyone tell me how to do this, and please please please say it in easy words, because i am not that smart with installing a program.

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
Downgrade IS a NORMAL flash ROM with an older version of OS... only see if the ROM you are flashing need 1.14 or 1.56 SPL version.

personally I just grabbed it should I need one for warranty ... I will continue to stick to xda-dev-custom ROMs

i just tried to install this rom on my unlocked td2 - it does not work. installer complains that this rom is not suitable for the phone.

Right, I have read the whole thread for noobs about this, but I have questions that I still need answerd.
How do I find what Windows Mobile I use 6.5 or 6.5.5
If I have 1.42.000SPL Do I upgrade to 1.42HSPL?
If I need to send it back do I just need to change the HSPL back to a Stock SPL?
Once I have 1.42HSPL installed can I choose any ROM?
When I install a new ROM does it effect the internet via orange and my wifi?

stock rom? then it is 6.5

use hspl 2 and upgrade to whatever you like, personally I chose 2.08.hspl and never changed it since.

yes, run hspl 2 and choose 1.42.0000

All the stock roms are 6.5.0 (build numbers start 21xxx) 6.5.5 roms have build numbers starting 235xx. I did start a thread on this subject last week. if you have searched you would have found it and your questions answered.
