Video Recording Stops on Incomming Calls - Droid Incredible General

When recoring video on the Incredible, if it receives an incomming phone call it stop the recording. Does anyone know of a setting/method to ignore the call and keep recording?
Recording has already stopped before the accept/decline buttons are displayed.
The only way I have found so far is to put the phone in Airplane mode before recording. Which is a little bit of a pain to have to keep switching back and forth.

you really expect any "phone" to prioritize video recording over phone calls, do you really record video that much that you cant do airplane mode everytime you want to record a video withouth being "interrupted" hmm

Yes I do expect my phone prioritize video over a call. It doesn't have to interrupt the recording. You can't always put your phone in airplane mode. I have a 2 year old. When something amazing happens that I want to capture I don't have time to switch into airplane mode. I remember capturing his first steps. Imagine a call ruining that. You act as though a phone is just a phone. I guarantee the average person texts more that they call. The "phone" has evolved into something much more than just taking calls. They can easily make a call banner that appears at the top of the phone and gives you the option to stop what you are doing or not. That's pretty simple. Also with streaming apps on the side how are going to stream and be in airplane mode at the same time? Just because something isn't useful for you doesn't mean everyone shares your opinion. So in short stfu.

Silent Phone Call

Just a thought, i know that symbian phones have a software which utilize the accelerometer and mutes the phone call when turned over. is it possible to have a software to use the fort facing camera or back camera in our wm6 devices to detect light during the even of an incoming phone call? it doesnt need to be on all the time so it does not drain the battery and just turned on during phone calls. so front facing camera should detect either "dark-light-dark" (when in pocket) or "light-dark" when the phone is already out. hope that make senses.
what do you guys think? is it a good idea?
not sure if camera can be used for that purpose at all. I think u need extra hardware for that.
When a phone call is coming in the device has to take care of the following actions:
-device wake up
- initiate the incoming call screen
- start number identification (compare to address book)
- start ringer
Your idea would add the following actions:
- initiate (front)camera
- wait for camera to detect current lightning conditions
- if lighting is below a certain value mute sound
I would think that it takes to long to go trough the complete cyclus.
When you make a call to a PocketPC it takes about two "normal" rings to make a device ring. If you add the extra feature it might even be 4 or 5. Before you can even react the caller might already be redirected to the voice mail I'm afraid.
i thought of that mccune, but u will need another program to analyze the bringhtness, may be a new library, or tap into camera library, which I dont think it's easy to do.
you are right, it's probably not idea to execute camera function while phone ringing, worst case scenario the phone hang, or the call got disconnected.
but i love to see it works
well i see it that if the front camera activate when there is an incoming video call then wm6 should be able to handle just detecting the light effect without hanging. just a thought, at least its a start for all of us that do not have accelerometer and it can be develop for some other use too.

Recording phone calls - works but only for 20 seconds!

I've installed a cab file which allows me to use the NOTES application to record both ends of my calls. This is a very useful feature for my work.
But, what I didn't realize after I recorded a few calls today, was that, I believe, when the screen turns off, perhaps after 20-30 seconds, or whatever it is set to, then the recording also stops, regardless of the length of the call!
Does anyone know how to let the recording continue past 20 seconds or so?
Thanks so much in advance!

I believe Motorola has loccked down the ability to do this, most likely to avoid legal issues. Only way I can suggest to do this at the moment would be if you can find a private space, make your call on speaker phone, and use another device to record.
On thinking, there is always the possibility you could connect the headphone jack on the Atrix to the audio card on your PC/laptop, then record with your PC. I believe this is possible, but it would take a wee bit of work to make it happen. You would effectively place the call on your phone, and talk/listen through your computer whilst recording audio. Might also be possible via bluetooth or wifi.
Google voice has a built in call recording feature. Not sure if is important that the call comes to/from your att number.

In order to record your call, simply press 4. You can do it when you first accept a call, or any time after it's started. To stop the recording, press 4 again or hang up.

So... what if I'm recording something like a tech support call and need to press 4 during navigation?
CaelanT could be correct on this one, at least for most of the apps. You really gotta be careful with call recording. It's not necessarily legal to do in some states unless both parties consent to the recording.
Older phones had this feature except it would beep to notify on the other end, my sgs 2 however records silently... like a ninja.

Problem Camcorder receiving call

Today I was recording my baby doing something fun and at same time I received a call. I didn't answered immediately, recorded a little more and then answered.
When I watched the movie I heard a kind of horn on the movie. I made some tests and realized it's the vibration from incoming call that's captured by microphone.
How to avoid this? The on screen notification it's enough for me, if I'm recording I don't need vibration, I'm looking at the screen (at least most of the time)

Have phone ring while recording video?

Hello all, I'm new here and have a question for you.
I am running a SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 Version 5.0.1
I frequently make short time-laps recordings and I'm missing phone calls.
I place my phone on the tri-pod to record but when someone calls in I can see someone is calling but it never rings.
I don't care about the noise it makes cause my videos have no noise. Is there a way to still have my phone ring while I'm recording?
