8525- New screen, new flex, still no work? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

My original screen showed through, but the colors were bad, it seemed like every other horizontal line was either off or grey. Hard to explain, I'll try and find a picture.
So, I replaced screen, and the one I got just lights up white. Bright white, thats all.
So I got a replacement for that 2nd screen (the first one still works at this point) and the 3rd screen lights up white, but with a kind of checkerboard pattern.
Somewhere along the line, I replaced the flex cable.
I really like this phone, and I have alot into it, so I'd like to fix it.

I found my old flex cable and tried it.
Nothing changes. One screen is white, one is white with a light checkerboard pattern.
I can't find my original screen, but I bet it still behaves the same. I might end up just using it thought

Crap. I found the original screen, and it shows up all white now.
I do have a picture of all the screens to make sure they are the same.
Both flexs have the same part number on them, and look identical. I have tried all three screens with both flexs. I get nothing but white, except the last screen, with that faint checkerboard.

Screen fading white. Is it my LCD? Flex cable? Other?

My display is progressively showing a mostly white, "washed out" display. It goes from completely normal to the washed out screen you can see in the attached pictures. (two "washed out" screens, followed by two normal) It happens much more frequently in portrait mode. When it first started happening, if I would open the keyboard just a little bit, the "white" would go away and the display would be nice and bright like it should be. At the time, it made me suspect the flex cable, so I disassembled the Hermes and made sure all connections are tight. That did not fix it and it is getting worse. Applying pressure to certain parts of the outside of the device can sometimes cause this to happen, other times it's completely random. Can anyone confirm if it is the LCD or flex cable? I don't mind replacing a part if I can be sure of the problem, but I don't want to waste my time and money if I can't be SURE it will fix the problem.
NO, I can not send it back to AT&T for warranty repair.

Screen Issue!!

Hey guys, I usually dont do this (makes me seem like a real noob) but im having a bit of a problem here. If you guys could check your xperia's for me, that would be great.
i have a x1a, being used for cingular right now. For some reason, on bright, all white screens, the top and bottom of the screen (about .3 inches) is yellow. Cant notice is unless you have a all white screen on. Just wondering if this is normal, and what you guys think this could be.

actually my xperia doesn't got it, odd situation.
You bet it is.
I thought only I had this issue. One cannot notice it until in a normal room with white wallpaper on xperia.
Any other ones tried this?
Just checked mine (X1i) and no yellow on a white screen.

Black lines across screen

So my N10 replacement arrived due to my first N10 (haven't returned it yet) having some minor light leakage. Right after the first boot on the new N10, there's a single pernament blackline across the screen. Checked if there was light leakage, and found it to be much worst than my first N10.
Anyways, I decided to take a photo of the black line with my DSLR. After a few shots, and then looking back at the screen, there were now 2 black lines. I decided to take a few more shots, and while I was looking at the screen, a 3rd line popped up before my eyes.
Lines are predominately black, but sometimes, depending on the background, the lines will have some brighter colors.

Gona send the replacement back. Just to be on the safe side, keeping the first N10 since its working perfectly fine and the light leakage is easily tolerable. What do you guys think caused this to happen?
Strange! Maybe it was damaged during shipping.

Google may track via serial number the devices they send, so you may want to let them know first in case they realize you sent the replacement back.

LCD screen flashes white then fades to black with colored lines

So. I haven't seen this one yet, though it does look a bit like some other problems I've run into with laptop LCDs. When I turn the phone it goes to a grey/gray screen with a burned border to it inset about .5cm from the edge of the screen. After this (which WAS the Google logo screen) it goes black with just a hint of light. I can hear it boot and it responds to touch, but the screen is black. Now.
If I press the power button to turn the LCD off (sleep), then turn it on again, it flashes white with vertical colored lines and then quickly fades back to black again. It seems like it must have a capacitive problem as part of the issue because if I turn the screen back off and on it only barely turns on again, but if I wait a few minutes it flashes bright for a second then fades. Here are some images and a youtube of it. Any ideas? I'm looking
Also: anyone know of a good adb guide for restore to stock? I'm running CM 10.2 nightlies with the same kernel. TWRP touch.

and this
So the screen stop working completely now? Something similar happened to me, but it only happened once. You can still restore stock with fastboot mode even if you don't see the screen.

Burn in already? (Screen included)

So guys I'm kinda worried, I just got an s8 today and check this picture from contacts:
https://ibb.co/nLKobQ
As you see, the most left part (that is usually all black on most applications) is darker than the rest. Is your s8 like this as well or just mine? Not sure if its supposed to be like this or I should have it replaced. Thanks!

It's supposed to be that way. You can choose what color you want the navigation bar to be and the default is off-white.

That's normal though. As tharghan mentioned the navigation bar is off-white by default (which is sort of like a VERY light gray) and this helps prevent burn-in.
It's most likely not going to become an issue as soon as on other phones like the 6P and Pixel since the navigation bar and buttons consistently change color when you switch apps. If you notice the navigation buttons are white on the home screen but they turn dark gray once you go into an app.
