Hey Guys
I know this is a noob question, I have never flashed a rom, do I need to have the hardspl, or is there a shorter way to just use uspl. Can someone just inform me of the shortest way to flash a rom
I have never flashed HSPL myself, and flashed more than a dozen custom ROM using USPL. The procedure depends on what ROM you have on your device, what ROM you want to flash and if you have branded or WWE device, so read this wonderful guide, follow it step by step (if you have 1.19 ROM and want to flash 1.56 based ROM) and you should be alright.
Hi it seems I am still a little confused from reading the guide
My hd is from uk and it is branded orange. It has a 1.19 rom. So please someone tell me how to flash dutty rom wm 6.5 . All I want is the easyiest way to flash a customized rom dutty for wm 6.5, knowing my hd is a virgin phone that I never flashed a rom before
everything you need is in the Wiki & in crackwhores guide.
Read it all twice and once you think you understand, read it again!
Its really is much simpler than you think.
Basically you need to flash a stock 1.54 spl before you can flash dutty's ROM otherwise you will get the greenscreen issue!
But as i say, its all here, you just have to read it yourself.

Stock ROM you need to flash first!
If i get time, i might record a video of this process so that there is something visual for all the new guys to follow!
Hi Dear Guys ,
Is it possible to flash stock rom of different seriel ( Region ) with out doing bepe hspl2 , i mean if i have stock rom with asian wwe and i download eu wwe from official htc site , can i flash that stock shiped eu wwe rom on my asian wwe serial hd2 with out doing any hspl or sspl
Thanks
Wow! Really important indeed!
If you'd have taken the time to read the stickies, you would know that it's not gong to work and you'll get an 'Invalid vendor ID' error message.
Why would you not want to flash HSPL? With HSPL2 available, it's easy to revert to stock SPL and flash a stock ROM, should you need to send your device for repair or anything.
No, you'll need to use either hspl or sspl.
@ tomasz
i was used before kovsky that was my 1st htc brand and its much differ with black stone
Dear Guys ,
according to study , stock spl only revert back by usb method , and my second question , after hspl2 can i use official ruu (htc offcial updater) for updating custom roms ? as i think if i use it to flash i dont need task29 as offcial updater clean even binary files .. any idea ?

HSPL2 can also be used to revert back to stock spl. After installing hspl, the flashing is the same as got the Blackstone, ie run the RUU. Some have used the official RUU instead of the CustomRUU to flash, but I haven't tried it and I just use Task29 prior to flashing. The whole thing from Task29 to installed rom takes only 5 minutes.
@ ClydeB1 Thanks
My stock HSPL is 1.66.0000
i can do any hspl2 version for me ?
You can do anything you want - HSPL2 is used to flash ALL version of HSPL and SPL

As long as you choose one of the spl's ending in HSPL and not 0000 you can flash to any cooked or stock rom. Use HSPL2 again to return to your original spl when needed.

Yes you can change you stock rom to any custom or upgraded version of stock roms by Htc.
to do this.. you need to have HSPL2 installed into your hd2.
read sticky for more information on this topic and Remember Do not Flash rom through SD card if SPL version is latest than 2.08 .

can i rom upgrade to downgrade on htc touch hd
Do you mean will you be able to flash back to original rom from a cooked rom? You certainly can. I flash cooked roms all the time but I always revert back to original 1.56 rom
Hi,
I would like to know is it safe to downgrade from android to winmo 6.5, with custom rom eg .Duttytroy, Energy rom ? Isit safe to downgrade without official/ stock rom ?
thanks
update; Flashing back to winmo require Main rom & radio rom, custom does not have the radio rom (which is not advisable) ..
