Hi guys,
I am using Opera mobile 10.00 . WM 6.5 & SPB Mobile Shell 3.5, ROM by Don Salari (thx )
After I do the sync (mass storage), Diamond is ok and working but I cannot start(use) Opera at all, clicking on the Opera icon does nothing, dead.
After disconnecting and soft reset it is OK till I try to sync again.
Opera is installed on Internal storage - can this be the cause as internal storage is not visible on the phone after syncing like a mass storage ?
Thanks for advices
try this:
uninstall opera, then sync and reinstall it. maybe this works... or you can go to the data explorer and then start it manually
Hi,
so the problem was really in the Internal storage. I had to reinstall Opera and install it to Device storage, now it works even when synced

If you install avantgo on the storage card, do not tick Avantgo in Activesync 4.1 - i do not know what it dies, but
a. it fails and b. it causes your machine to slow down dramatically thereafter (the only solution is a hard reset).
If you need to sync avantgo, do it from the Universal itsels (Tools/Sync)!
Hi guys, i´m new in forum, but i have a problem. I do a format internal memory of HP Ipaq HW6940 for deceit, because i wanted format SD card.
The hard reset was do it, but the Ipaq clear ok, turn on a green light, but no start the windows, stay in a blank screen.
It would exist a program to manipulate bios/rom and reinstall windows in your memory from windowsXP, because active sync not it synchronizes?
Where i get the windows mobile 5/rom for him?
Thanks to all.
I have just noticed that my memory is nearly full. (Only 6mb left)
Is there any software that can remove junk from here???
I don’t install software to this only to the storage card so I don’t understand how it can be full.
Any ideas anybody???
Steve
try using memmaid
If you use the Opera Browser try to clear the Cache
sometimes there are over 20MB on my Diamond!
Google Maps Mobile keeps a cache file that can get quite huge (mine was 27mb). It's in Application Data/GoogleMaps.
If you run GoogleMaps download the new version from m.google.com/maps and when you install it you have it removes the old version completely then asks where you would like to install the new one, opt for the Internal Storage, memory regained and no more clearing the Google Maps cache
Found the same if you install the Opera 9.7 Beta, that can be 'replaced' to the internal storage and therefore any cache can be kept forever (upto a 4 gig limit obv). I also deleted the 'Opera' folder out the Windows directory after installing the new version and this cleared up around a further 6mb, Only recommend installing the new Opera if you don't mind a glitchy browser, I have gone back to stock for now tho.
Also, try moving the 'My Documents' directory from the root to the Internal Storage, everything still works the same.
Hope this helps...

any one knows how to?
sniff still i cant save my pictures
That may because your phone can't recognize the storage card. Maybe you can try to flash the rom to test the sd. More helps are needed.

Is there a way (tool) to (automatically) synchronize the internal storage (xda touch diamond) to my hdd in activesync mode?
I don't want to switch my diamond always to hdd-mode, when I would make a backup.
Or is there a way to map the internal storage while in activesync-mode on a drive letter?
You can try this tool
Is there any solution?

Thank you for your reply.
This tool is interesting, and would be helpful if my xda diamond is in hdd-mode. But I am searching for a tool that could synchronize via activesync.
The perfect tool I imagine would synch all changed data on internal storage of the xda diamond to the hdd of my pc while activesync is active.
Is this utopistic?
