heres the live wallpaper works on the nexus one i dont know if it will work for droid but you can try it out.Go to recovery and flash this

thanks for the effort, but it doesn't seem to work for me. i tried opening the Mode10Wallpapers.apk it flashed into /system/app from AndExplorer and it told me there was an error parsing the package. oh well.

um, yea, that's what i did - booted into cm recovery, install from zip, reboot the phone. the files it flashed ARE in the right locations, but it DOESN'T WORK even when running the apk directly, likely because it's for the nexus one (as was warned previously).

I've been looking for this LWP for a long while as well.
opps well sorry for the post. i know which one sorry about that ... but yeah i found a working htc sense LWP. by googleing and i pushed it to my non rooted droid using adb and it worked as well. Your speaking of the nice color muli one right? if so there is one out there that works. very laggy though

The problem is with the resolution. Motorola pins an extra 54 pixels into the vertical on their devices. The Nexus One and other HTC devices are 480x800, whereas the Droid is 480x854. This was the same issue with converting the Nexus One LWP to the Droid originally.

hello, i have been trying every sense build out there, i love mdeejay Froyo Sense v. 2.2 it is very stable, just not the theme so much, i read somewere that if i change the framework it will work but i tryed that and it didnt. so i just wanted to know if someone can explain or show me to the right direction (if there is any) on doing this.

i used droid explorer, i first pulled out the framework of an earlier build also by the same dev. and then using droid explorer replaced it with the one i wanted rebooted, and it just didnt boot.. =/

I would give it a go with adb, I have found at times droid explorer leaves files blank or unusable somehow. Its a great attempt at a GUI, better than I could do by all means...just a bit buggy at times.
Also, give mattc evo build a try, its is the most stable for me to date.
try mdeejays desire hd build.

There are a lot of ports for this theme on many other android (even on HD2) but sadly none i can find for our Desire

is there a trick to getting the HTC_IME_themed_by_gIMpSTa.apk installed? I installed it, and chose it from the language & keyboard settings menu, rebooted and still nothing. Should I be replacing the HTC_IME file?

I replaced the HTC_IME.apk with HTC_IME_themed_by_gIMpSTa.apk (renamed to HTC_IME.apk) and Pre-Froyo Stock Rom (EDIT: Pre-root Froyo stock Rom) didn't like that and kept FC'ing it... I mis-spelled the rom, as it is "pre-rooted Froyo stock" but I was an idiot, after activating the keyboard, I didn't long press in a text box and select the new input method... duhhh....

Cheers for this.....i flashed this theme to my old HD2 the other day and was hoping for a port for the desire.
Only problem is the black keyboard is not showing in my phone, i can select another keyboard but it is not showing as the glossy black version.
Any ideas?

Ok i'm getting a ****load of errors when i try to compile the modified framework, and as i'm learning about this stuff as it comes along i am still unsure as to why such errors pop up..i must be missing something since i think they shouldn't . Unfortunately (but as expected) doesn't work with RCMixHD... phone keeps stuck at first bootscreen for ages, so I grabbed my nandbackup... think it is due to the totally different notificationarea with integrated multitasking in the HDRoms... but anyway thanks for your efforts!

I really like the option to turn the SMS MMS app into black in cyanogen so i replaced my oxygen app with the one from cyan7. But is there a way to get a black GMail app? Or did i just not find that option?

Would be nice if someone could make a 2.3 based black one. The text is black so you would have to edit the xml files to make the text white or light grey.

On a slightly related note, I've installed the black Mms.apk from the C7 via adb but it keeps reverting to the regular one on reboots. Any ideas?
EDIT: I pushed via adb and set the permissions and it's all good.
Thanks for your work! Black GMail would be awesomesauce! However I've tried to install it and I get "not installed" error. I'm using Redux 1.0 ROM. I didn't uninstall original GMail app first because uninstall button isn't enabled and it can't be pressed. I'm sure this is what causes error, any idea how get rid of GMail?

Use ADB if you're not S-OFF to remove Gmail.apk from /system/app then push the black one I posted to /system/app.
Make sure the permissions are the same as the other apps in that location.
Boot into recovery, wipe dalvik cache and reboot.
If you're S-OFF you can do the above through root explorer or similar...
Should be ok.

Brilliant thanks for that. Its not quite black, but the text is white, so possibliy I can edit the grey to black if it is controlled by .png files. It is version 2.3 too, which is the latest version that works for me.

You need a ROM to run your phone and this apk. What are you trying to do?

Yep and unlike 2.3.2, it actually works. I liked the 2.3 one I was using but would have preferred grey for unread email and black for read email not the other way around.

Hey guys so Ive installed the Live wallpaper hack from XDA i think it was the Rodriquezz rom patch for live wallpapers on the legend..I got it working and everything i was just wondering is there anyway to use it on the lockscreen too? Because when I go to settings to change lockscreen wallpaper i dont see a live wallpaper option as i do with normal wallpaper for the homescreen...

That's if you have Froyo. Because then, there will be no option to change the lockscreen's wallpaper, and it will use the one you have on your homescreen instead.
It makes sense (hurr not really but sorta pun) to flash a 2.2 ROM instead, because I assume this hack requires you to already have your device rooted.

Well, Im rooted lol I used the tut from paul at modaco, I guess im on froyo? Because i can change the lockscreen wallpaper, i just dont have the option for live wallpaper.
Rooting doesn't automatically give you Froyo. Unless I misread everything you said.

You're still on the ROM you installed during rooting. It's nothing special, thank goodness it's not Froyo either.
Now you can flash a custom ROM through ROM Manager and enjoy Froyo from there!
EDIT: Oh yeah, installing custom ROMs wipe everything. And there are specific instructions for each ROM too. Look for ROMs and special goodies that you can use with ROM Manager in the Dev section of the Legend's forums.

download "App Backup & Reinstall" from the market, reinstalls every app you have with a small backup file. Cache and settings are lost though...
And for your contacts, you van backup them to a Vcard (.vcf file) in Contacts > Menu > Import/Export
Titanium Backup is an option aswell since your device has root acces already.
