I partitioned my SD Card to use the Apps2sd built in the Fresh 2.0d ROM. It is working BUT it SLOWED down my phone. LWP and transitions are chopppy. I have my SD card backed up already. I want to undo what I did.
What steps do I take to undo the SD card partitioning using Apps2sd built in the Fresh 2.0d ROM and go back to just having the Fresh 2.0d rom with a standard SD card?

What class is your SD card? If it's a class 2, that's probably the issue.
Depending on the a2sd you're using you can tell it to move your apps back to internal storage. If you don't know, or your a2sd doesn't make sure you have a backup of your apps (or just reinstall whichever).
To undo it, just repartition your card, using 0 for everything and the 'rest' for FAT. Yes, this will wipe your SD card completely.
Reflash your ROM, then restore from backup (Titanium, for example).
yeah apps2sd only really works with a class 6 sd card, i mean to work flawlessly, i have a class 2 and a class 4 both name brands and sometimes my phone is still choppy, but my buddy has same cdma hero with class 6 and his is like crazy fast.
Still need help

How do I get the "rest" to FAT? It says remaining FAT32 and won't allow me to change it.
I follow these steps:
Boot into Android Recovery (RA-heroc-v1.6.2)
Choose Partition SD Card
Choose Partition SD
Press Home to confirm partition sdcard
Press Home to confirm 0MB swap size
Press Home to confirm 0MB ext2 size
Then it says
FAT32-size=remainder
Continue partitioning? Press Home to confirm or any other key to abort.
Since I can't change FAT32 to FAT I abort.
Is that correct?

I can't flash my ROM because it's not on the zip file after partitioning. What do I do now?

yeah.. you are screwed!!!!
just kidding...
what what I have read.. you will need to use your SDK tool, which you used to root your phone. you will have to find the instruction to "push" the zip file to your sd card. then you can use recovery to load the ROM.
also.. maybe... just a guess....
take the SD card out.. use it in your computer and a SDcard reader. Copy the zip file to your SDcard. put it back in the phone. Try Recovery again.
not sure if this will work.

I told you in the first place it would wipe your SD card. You mentioned you had a backup I believe. So put the ROM back on the card and go from there.

Or just plug the phone in with your USB cable and transfer the ROM that way.

You're very quick to respond! After I wiped my card (which I knew would happen but just had an initial freakout) I turned off my phone and reloaded my files back to it, booted into recovery, wiped and reflashed. Good to go! Thanks for your help.
hello,
i want to wipe my android and start from scratch , also i want to delete any contents on my sd card...
but what contents on the sd card must remain? i remeber when i bought my desire, there were already folders on the sd card, are they important??
how do i do this?
first wipe/reinstall rom , then format, then wipe again?
Why wipe and then reinstall the same rom? Wipe=factory reset which deletes all user info, apps, etc etc. As in it will look like it did when you wiped and installed rom for the first time. Just reformat the sd card and you are done. You aren't gonna see a completely empty sd card after reformatting. There will be system folders that android will place there.

After you have wiped and flashed your new rom, you can format your SD card from within android. That way, it will be able to place the default folders in there for you at the same time.
perfect, thnx for the info...
I just bought a T959 off of ebay. It came with Bionix-v 1.2 and I was trying to upgrade it to Bionix-NextGen-V2 using CWM.
I have the Bionix-NextGen-V2.zip on my external microSD. I can't seem to access the external microSD to select it via CWM.
Am I supposed to flash it from the internal flash memory? I don't think I have done that with my other Android phones... If so, will that cause any problems with wiping data off the phone?
Thanks for any help!
Yes with regular CWM it needs to be on the internal sd. Eugene has a kernel that can access the external sd but installing that kernel then flashing from your exteral sd would be much more cumbersome than just moving the rom to the internal sd to flash.
Cool... thanks.
Flashing now...
hello. yesterday i had issues with my 3 years old 2gb micro sd card. it didn't mount, i got the message "it had beeb removed" , and blank sd card. i thoght it was time for an update. i bout an 8 gb micro sd card but it doesn't seem to work either. it says damaged/blank sd card and sometimes it only works when i choose to format it. i tries formating with pc and didn't work. i also tried formating data, cache and dalvik cache but that doesn't work. i want to install the 2.3 official update but since sd card is not working i can't. so i'm stuck. is there any way i can flash 2.3 withoud ex sd card? i tried using other cards, but they don't work too. if i get it to work , when i reboot the phone the same message comes up

What ROM are you using?
By the way, android needs to format a new sdcard so it can be used to store data on.

aurora ics. i want to get back to stock 2.3.5 cause can't stand the battery drain any more but i can't as bootloader doesn't recognize the sd card
So your sdcard is pretty much completely dead? Can your computer recognize your SD card? If your pc can recognize it but your phone can not then you should send your phone to service. Also try reformatting the SD card and installing Aurora ICS by doing a clean install through your internal SD card.
EDIT: You can install zips from internal SD card using TWRP v2.5.0.0 by forumber2.

Hey. Thanks for your reply. Yes computer recognizes the card just fine. I tried formating the card but don't work. There are times when card is being recognized but not for too long. And that happens to recovery mode. Can u give me steps or link to flash rom via internal sd?

Ask someone on the u8800 forum. I have a u8800pro sorry. I'm assuming that you have to move the zip into your internal memory, then install twrp 2.5.0.0 and choose install zip from internal memory.

yeah, the thing is that i cannot use my internal memory. when i try to download the rom from my phone it asks for sd and when i try to move rom from sd to internal sd it says error. i also tried to make my internal sd card "external sd card" but when i try to safe the system/etc file it says it can't be saved
Why don't you download the ROM to your computer and move it to your internal SD card with a USB cable?

I realised it is my new sd card. Its micro sd too but a little different in shape. So I just used a tape to get it well attached to the port. Now everything works good

All internal sd files still on phone, is this normal or factory reset don´t work normal? Phone works but wanna root it and install custom rom. Phone touch screen was cracked around 2 years ago, untill today it was on box and unused. Ordered new touch screen and had plan to make it working phone again but now problems. Don´t remember, is it rooted or not but recovery are not installed. Also have wifi problems but thats other topic talk.
Installed stock 2.3.5 but no changes.
