Hi everyone,
I just purchased an Atrix from someone off of craigslist and am unable to get into the phone because I do not have a MotoBlur account and can't create one, can anyone help?
is there a way to toss the phone into recovery and do a factory reset perhaps?
u know how to get into recovery, rt? turn it off, then turn it bk on while holding vol down.when it says fastboot, tap vol down until u get to android recovery, then hit vol up. u can factory reset there...
You can factory reset using fastboot. And you can make a motoblur account online with your computer.

on a pc go here https://portal-blur.svcmot.com/blur-web-portal/ and create a motoblur account
Sounds sketchy. Why didn't you test it before you "bought" it?

Think so... Before that try this.
1. take out battery along with sim card and sd card
2. Hold both Up+Down volume buttons
3. Plug in the usb to connect to your pc
4. putin your battery back.
Will work I think..

Thanks in advance for your time, I'm lost without this phone!!!
I was attempting to clear a bit of memory, and read somewhere that if you *#9600# and select option 2 it gets rid of old update files etc.
I did this and rebooted my phone to get a blank screen.
The phone vibrates when you hold down the power button, and also when you plug in USB, but there is nothing on the display, and no light to say its charging.
PLEASE TELL ME I HAVEN'T KILLED MY PHONE!!!!!!

Can you go to download mode?
Remove your battery and insert and hold volume down key, home button and power button at the same time, see if you can enter to download mode. You need to put your phone to download mode prior to use.Odin

Okay cool.
Open ODIN, connect your phone and tick the box next to AP/PDA (Depending on your ODIN version).
Click on AP or PDA and select the recovery I'm about to send you.
Press 'Start' and wait for it to finish its process.
If you are successfully able to boot into TWRP try Wipe>Advanced Wipe and deselect all apart from Data (This will erase all of your settings and app data).
Try to boot your phone!
If that doesn't work let me know I have a flashable zip you may be able to use.

I don't quite understand what you mean?
Just flash the recovery through ODIN and let me know if it's working.
Don't forget to boot the phone with Power, home and Vol+ held down to access recovery (After you've flashed TWRP)
And sadly I'm at work at the moment so I can't access Skype.
I will be on here frequently as you can tell so I'll reply as soon as I recieve notifications.

Sorry!!! Forgot to mention, pull battery and put it back in and power it on using Power + Home + Vol Down
You should see a message asking you to press the volume down, press it and then you should have entered ODIN/Download mode. Try ODIN then.
No matter what you have flashed you should always be able to access Download mode.

Okay Ill give it a quick charge for 15 minutes. I dont know why it keeps shutting off, i dont think the battery is drained as the phone can turn on multiple times
Yeah I know what you're saying. I believe the batteries actually have leftover capacity to help stop it discharging low enough to kill the battery
