This link: http://www.4shared.com/dir/22189940/b8552fa0/Shipped_Leo_ROMs.html shows the latest Shipped ROM being Leo 2.10.
That's strange, the XDA WIKI doesn't show such shipped rom with such version!
So I am totally confused here.
Currently I have this ROM installed : Worldwide 1.66.405.2
(RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.66.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe)
But I am wondering if there is a MORE RECENT SHIPPED ROM than that?
And what are the enhancments. Any new programs or stuff in it?
Seems ROM 1.66.405.2 which I have is quite old, didn't HTC release anything newer and improved / better performing after that ?
Would appreciate you guys replies.

ROMs for TMob USA devices come with a 2.xx version - this base is frequently used by chefs for cooking custom ROMs.
European and ROW HD2´s (as of today) are still at 1.6x/1.7x (depending on the area where the device is bought).
As you are not really more specific about some key details, this is the best answer I can give.

Hey, thanks alot for the reply, I appreciate it.
My current ROM as I wrote is WWE 1.66.405.2. No language specific.
I am just wondering if using the 1.7 or 2.10 have improvments in terms of speed, bug fixes or functionality over the WWE 1.66.405.2 which I currently have. Or maybe they would actually make my device more 'T-Mobilish' giving a bunch of non usefull stuff and overhead.

Hey mate I think it goes like this, TMOUS and EU ROM's only differ in whats for your device, so you are expressing you use 1.66 meaning you have a European base on you phone so the highest in the base 1.xx is what your searching for. As for whether the latest is the best that's another question I cant answer.

If you don't have a TMOUS device, so you better not install a TMOUS ROM, due to radio and SPL differences.
i think 1.72 based (official) ROMs could have some improvements over 1.66, but mainly they are the same... only 1.72 are released a bit later for branded devices (1.72 ROMs carry the 1.66 SPL).

Thanks. I saw some snapshots of HD2 Running newer ROMs (I think above 2.0) and they had another home tab called 'Documents' I would call this is a good improvement over the 1.66 I have which doesn't have Documents tab. So I guess that the 2.0 (Tmobile ??) Roms are more improved. Pitty Euro versions don't have that. But since you warned against putting t-mobile US rom on a european device I will just wait.

some custom roms, that run very well on non TMOUS devices (all over the world) do have the document tab incorporated (see my signature )
all the roms and radios, regular and tmous, cooked or ship, will work just fine on the normal hd2. its only tmous users that can't flash our roms, we can flash theirs.
the 1.7 rom seems to be just 1.66 with the updates already applied.(though i'm no expert on that)

Wow it's pretty cool, why is the Telstra version always more compatible and in the HD case it was reported to be much more stable, is it because it is released 6+ months after US?

ermm, , , us version came out way after telstra, telstra is identical to euro/asia hd2, All roms will work on any spl on telstra and euro.
you are on 1.42.hspl because hspl2 doesnt work on telstra, nothing to do with stability or compatibility. if anything its less compatible than the euro/asia, cos teh euro can take all spl and all roms, including tmous, everything.

Yes I noticed after that it meant the Euro was still more compatible, which indeed was the first release? Then to AUS and then to US. Yes sorry I was thinking of the HD which was much delayed.

Hi guys, ive just searched the forums for info on 1.61 but it returns no results. Im currently on 1.48 and just wanted to know what the main differences are between 1.48 and 1.61.
Has anyone tried 1.61???
Here you will get 45 pages of information about this ROM.
The main differences between ROM versions are newer versions of the system, both WinMo and Sense/Manila. In this case, a newer Radio ROM was also included.

Hello all and pardon my ignorance.
I will be getting the HD2 next week and I have some questions..
1-Can I do HSPL with US version with same instructions in this forum ?
2-Can I do Roms of LEO to US version ? or eventually they will develop US rom versions ?
Thank you all in advanced.
You can't run HSPL as the US HD2 has SPL 2.xxx on it - you need SPL 1.42 to use HSPL

tmob us stock rom is the best
is it really? all id seen so far is how much ram it uses up
just to build off of his question, when HSPL 2 IS released, will Tmobile USA HD2's be able to use the same cooked ROMS that are available now? Or will there be special versions specific to the Tmobile USA version?

no, any rom will work.
i have tried everything
none of the hspl1 or 2 or sspl work with tmo usa hd2 as of yet....it probably has to do with the diff in memory also worried about how the hspl's and cooked roms with use the new memory allocation with the usa version???
I got my HTC HD2 yesterday and i now know what love feels like.
My question is what is the latest radio's and roms for o2?
My handset is currently running rom 1.43.206.4 and radio version 2.04.50.22_2
Any advise will be greatly appriciated.
there are no updates for o2 yet.
I can highly recommend hspl2 your phone and install the wwe 1.66 rom.
(read the stickies in the rom development section)
there was supposed to be a new rom coming at the end march but nothing happened. i was told by a customer services guy that there were problems with the rom and it had been delayed.
unfortunately the version you currently have is the latest, for o2 UK any way.
why dont you flash another ROM theyr miles better, plus the o2 stock rom is floating about in the rom dev area so you can reflash if incase you return your phone!
Thanks for the tips guys. I will hspl2 it soon, ive got enough experiance from doing my xperia every other day lol. Which radio version is the best to use?
I've not really noticed much difference across the radios, im on 2.07.50 at the mo, in west yorks, and ive used the 2.08 one too. The only one i noticed a difference with was 2.09 but i use a 576 rom which it doesnt work with, so i only used it for a day.
Thanks. Last question, what is the diffrence between 576 roms etc? This is what has left me scatching my head.
I'd recommend radio 2.09 which I'm on, it's the best so far I've found and I've used all of them on my O2 HD2. I'm based in the Buckinghamshire area and it does me well round here.

the leo we all have (not tmous) have 576 meg of ram, but for whatever reason htc decided to hide 128 meg.
the leaked tmous roms a few months ago unlocked that ram, so now, if you flash a rom based on the 2.10 roms and a matching radio you will get 576 meg ram.
to be honest the ram rarely gets fully utilized anyway, don't base your choice of rom on it. (and you can't get it on official roms like the 1.66)
Sorry I did use the search tool but couldn't find an answer... What are the differences between these as well as advantages/disadvantages of each? With so many ROMs available I'd like to have something more to help me choose.
Thanks
I'd like to know this as well. All these different versions and ROMS using different ones etc is confusing. Also, the HSPL versions.. all confusing!
Base 2.10 has an awful and distorted noise in phone calls and awful bluetooth management not to mention more power consuption, these are the main disatvantages from my point of view.

A chef or somebody knowledgeable in cooking could answer this. The only thing I know for sure is that if you have HSPL (for the 1.43 stock roms), you can flash all base 2.10 roms and you can enable the 576 mb ram if you use a 2.07.50 or 2.08.50 radio because this what I got on my device as my signature states. Actually, I also managed to flash 2 1.72 roms, but I found them not to my liking so I stick to the 2.10 ones and I'm happy with them. Just to name a few: Astriaios, Energy, RTT Shock Star RTM, Leo firestorm, LIA Glass series, Ahen L6 series from xda, and from VIETPPC: Hoang An Leo, from PDAVIET: All, because they use only the 2.10 base. Most of these roms exist in 6.5 and 6.5.x so you guys will have the choice.
I stick to HSPL(1) because I think there is more choice in the 2.10 roms than in the 1.66 or 1.72 ones and because I don't want to limitate the choice of roms with HSPL2 for only a certain variety or roms (1.66 OR 1.72).
Hope that will help you guys to make a decision
Big thank to all the Chefs I mentioned above and to the others, you guys make all an awesome job!

The noise distortion and the battery consumption are RADIO related issues (if your radio keeps on searching for a signal, it will drain your battery quickly), not rom except for a well-known program whom shortcut had to be deleted from the Start menu because it was creating battery drain, I think it was Ameba or Swype, but I'm not sure. As for the bluetooth management, it may be issues concerning the Voice commands, but for the data sending/receiving, I never had problems with any of the above mentioned roms, except if the chef uploaded a version with a problem and reuploaded another version later.
Radios 2.06, 2.07 and 2.09 are said not to be power angry.
Miri has just lauched a version of his ROM with both bases over at HTCPedia for us to test.
I've been following this and it seens that, indeed, 1.72 (along with radio 2.09, that is not compatible with 2.XX) is better in terms of battery life and signal.
2.XX with latest WM builds seens to be much faster, on the other side...
Is still partial conclusions...
So is it basically a case of better all around performance in 2.10 and better battery life and signal in 1.72?

Don't know yet.
It seens that, in some places, radio 2.09, wich is incompatible with 2.10 base, performs much better in terms of battery life and signal.
I've experienced it myself.
Regarding performance, I can't tell you for sure it's base related of WM build related.
At this moment, considering the same ROM with the two bases, like Miris, I would go with base 1.72 with radio 2.09, but that's for my region. Don't know if it applies to everybody.
Just as reference, here's Miri's 2.10 base thread, where people asked for a 1.72 version for testing: http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1786
And here's 1.72 version with some valuable feedback: http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?p=52190#post52190
I think this is the best case for testing, since it's almost the same ROMs, only with diferent bases and radios (because of compatibility)

How does HSPL2 limit you? If anything it gives you more choice. With HSPL1 you only get 1.42.hspl and while you can flash any rom with that hspl version, with HSPL2 you can choose between either 1.42.hspl, 1.66.hspl or 2.08.hspl and still flash any rom you want - so you aren't limited to only 1.66 or 1.72 based roms.
The advantages of HSPL2 is that supposedly by matching the hspl version to the rom you get a more stable combo according to Cotulla. Another benefit of HSPL2 is that in order to revert to the original spl version you just choose this from the tool. No need to flash a stock rom via sd card etc.
I just realized the T-Mo HD2 has a separate for it. So do these ROM's and mods work on the T-Mo verison? There doesn't seem to be nearly as much stuff in the T-Mo forum as in this one.
you can flash any ROM but you must check if it's compatible with Tmous. it doesn't matter if your device is T-mobile or non tmobile or unlocked, Android run on all of them as long as you have the proper radio/rom
How can i figure out what Radio I need to have on it to make it compatible?
Probably a **.50.** Radio not 51 . Although I don't own a Tmous Device so I'm NOT SURE .. you better do your own researches on this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 ..
