How to install themes?!

Sorry for the stupid question but I'm Turkish and my English is not enough to really understand all of this...
I just got a Touch 3G and want to install themes. I searched for hours now in the net for themes and how to put them but yeah...
gladly I found this site and got lots of nice themes from here:

I just noticed I need Manilla 2D, whatever that is. But the page I got sent to doesn't really give me that, where can I find it?
I allready downloaded some themes but I don't know where to put them on my phone. My WM6.1 software on pc doesn't want to work, I access my phone memory straight from pc. Where do I put the themes?

manilla2d means tf2d so you already have it. you need manilla2d customizer to install the skins.

The link you downloaded has already given clear instructions hoe to install the team. Please read .....

There is, but you can not see it due to some configuration on your PC (system files are hidden probably)..
Another easy way; you can copy temporarily to any folder, then in order to move to windows folder, you can use PPC's own file explorer or utulise another file manager soft which is better -if you do not have, install it first- called "resco" or "total commander".
I am also a Turkish, if you need more help PM to me..

My active syn programm allways made a mistake, so I downloaded this Windows Mobile-Center 6.1 for Windows Vista. It works this time but when I connect my phone to pc it doesn't recognize my phone. It says no connection?

I don't mean to *****.. But if you can't get something basic like conencting your phone to your pc top work and i guess are unable to use the search on this site let alone google, i think you shouldn't mess around with customising your phone.. You *could* really mess it up if you don't know what your doing.

Just download and install an English X1 custom ROM from this site.

I changed the language on my phone from German to Finnish. Went to local service location and they changed it for me for 20€. Good option if u don't know what you're doing

i did that but i nothing happend
1- extract the file you got and rename it to ruu_signed.nbh
2- put the renamed file onto your memory card.
3- remove and insert the battery
4- press the volume down button and while pressing press the power button (keep both button pressed)
5- the mobile should start and give your three colored bars, keep on pressing.
6- a screen will come up showing it is starting to update. now release the two button.
7- wait till all update/intallation has finished.
8- remove and insert battery.
9- power on your mobile and do the initializations and wait for it to install some other programs and files.
10- phone will restart now for the final time.

1) download Hard-SPL package from attachment, extract to an empty folder.
2) it is recommended you download only the X1_HardSPL_v1.zip unless you want to tinker with MFG SPL (MFG SPL 0.52 is a separate attachment).
3) you must Have Phone Synced with PC in Windows Mobile!
4) run X1_HardSPL.exe. (if you want to flash MFG SPL: at this point replace the extracted RUU_Signed.nbh with the MFG version of RUU_Signed.nbh)
5) follow steps in the RUU, and check on the device for prompts after PC shows loading bar.

unhide system files by menu-options-general-second tab browser and uncheck all boxes
1. Fist find out wich windows mobile you got if you have startmenu key and X keys at the bottom you got windows mobile 23xxx so take that zip.
You got the keys at the top of the screen you got windows mobile 21xxx
so take the right version below.
2.Extract the zip
3.Copy the ''put in windows folder'' to your SD card.
Use a filemaneger and copy all the files in ''put in windows folder'' in
Windows on your system. Make sure no files are HIDDEN also hidden proctected system need to be possible to view. (on pc and phone)
You can unhide files here go to windows explorer (verkenner) >extra>mapopties> tab view (tab weergave)> unchek beveiligde bestuuringsysteem bestanden verbergen+ Scorll to down to the bottom and select ''verborgen bestanden mappen en stations weergeven''> click apply (toepassen)
4. Make a copy of the start menu and put it in the windows folder with the name ''Startmenu'' (NO SPACES).
In the Startmenu map you find two folders Settings and programs
change this to Programma's and Instellingen
Make also a copy from the map startup and rename it to opstarten.
5. Apply fixe's if avaible look under the post the large zip always the newest include all fixes except compass sinds this is a random issue. (So you don't need the wifi-router translation that is just for people who used the old package before this.
6. Install the cab in the zip. (this changes the language in the registery) .
7. Power off the device and after that start it up again
8. Do the dance baby your is in Dutch
Note: you can translate the Icons in the start menu if you want.
Note: The hole package includes some no needed files but it is a few (500 Kb or something like that) so no worries . And if they needed for a program they are there
Known not translated things yet.
-Sometimes a little graphical ugly problem (text is to long)
For the rest everything translated quickgps, office etc...

He was one of the only people who used a 6.5.X rom in dutch

Well at the moment I have no plans to make a spanisch one this was just for my self and I wanted to share so the rest could enjoy to. Actually it's boring work to do you just have to found a spanisch rom get the .mui files out with the spanish local code put it in your windows folder. And change the register and apply the tweaks for spanisch.

Well I don't know exactly but you can try. No shot is no hit.
But be warned in the worst situation you have to hard reset the phone. But there is also a possibility that is gonna work.

no worries if you get virus warning it is false alarm. If you start it up you get a lot of error messages just click ok... after that programa wil start up and you will see the module to file option.

New information looks like the files work on almost evrybuild. I will make a windows mobile 6.5.5 soon. So its compataible with almost any windows mobile 6.5.X build. I will also make systemfiles only versions.

Just tested it on a ROM from dutty ''Duttys_Leo_Sense_2.5_5.23568.5.5.0_1.77_Hybrid_V3_WWE'' and i cant find the map ''Startmenu'' only ''Start menu''
i guess its because its a ''23568'' ROM.
And also getting a view errors at copy pasting from the map ''put in windows folder''

New WIFI Router translation
Look at start post.
I found the file it was called under CMInternetsharing I will upload it. If you put this in windows folder your wifi router will be translated to.
BTW have anyone problems with the dialer I got small translation bugs feedback please.

after doing all the steps, the rom is in dutch...
BUT.. i can't open the startmenu.. wenn i click on it, the screen freezes for a few seconds and nothing happened...
using the newest kwbr rom

KWBR rom is based on Windows Mobile 6.5 OS (5.2.21901) not 6.5.X this version is for Windows Mobile 6.5.X you can change the registery keys back if possible to get enlgisch and a fully working phone. My plans are to make a 6.5 version soon (in a few days).

hmmzz.. did a hard reset.. because i can't open the startmenu anymore, so i can't reach regedit or total comander...
would be great if you make an version for windows 6.5 because i don't like the 6.5.X versions....

You could reach it if sense 2.5 was installed you can make a quicklink on the hometab just for the next time if your startmenu dont work.

nope.. when i want to make a quicklink, there are no programs anymore in the list. so i couldn't reach it..

[Solved]Unsigned Error - Newbie Cooker (Please Help Me)

I'm a newbie in Cooks ... and My Inglish is a litle bad.
I'm trying to cook a PTG (Portuguese Rom) ...
I extract the rom from htc web site, so I already change somethins and everything ok ...
But now I wan't to go more depper and I'm wan't to personalize My Rom with some apliccations from here...
Like Torch ...
Like Xda ShutDown ...
And other things
But after I cook for example Torch last version it gives the unsigned and untrusted version...
How Can I Change It?
I already change the language ... already put My country code 0816 ...
But still the same error..
Is the STOCK ROM protected?
I'm using the osKitchen Zero.

I Have a HTC HD 2 - Leo European (Portuguese);
I Have download the StockRom from the HTC WebSite;
I Have download the OsKitchen ZERO that is here in chefs forum;
I alrealdy delete somethings in My StockRom and I Cook the Rom...Upload to the Phone And OK. IT WORKS.
Until here everything fine.
But When I Put Other program like Torch ... after I Change the 0409 to 0816 code ... after I cook ... then when I install My New Cooked Rom in the LEO e apeares an Error that is a UNSIGNED FILES...
My question is...How can I change this?
Is the stock ROM PROTECTED ?
Is necessary to change something?

The 'unsigned' error almost never has anything to do with signatures. You either boffed up the shortcut in the start menu, or you're missing dependencies. You may be missing Net 3.5-that's just a guess. First, check the shortcut path and make sure it's ok. You can try just clicking on the .exe as well to see if the apps launch. Then, try installing net 3.5 (don't bother re-cooking/flashing yet), and see if the apps launch. If they do, get a Net 3.5 package and cook it in.

Just use total commander to open the shortcut and then fix the path. It's the easiest way (or create a new one with total commander). The problem with using .png icons for 6.5 start menu shortcuts is that you can't tell immediately that you buggered up a shortcut. If you don't use .png icons and instead use the icon in the .exe, if you mess up the shortcut path, then you get a blank icon and you know what the problem is.
Anyway, if you use EVK, there's an option to cert patch nk.exe, and then you don't have to worry at all about certificate errors.

Use the implantxip building method. That should automatically patch the certificate check.

Custom Fonts

Has anyone managed to install custom fonts on WP7. I want to put sylfaen.ttf onto the device, so I be able to read Georgian. Please help.

Thanks The actual characters I am after are at: 10d0-10fb. I've playing with this for a while. Actually what I did, was copy the sylfaen.ttf into one of the first WP7 images for HD2, tweaked some registry and recoocked the ROM. But this did not work. After several failures I quit trying hoping that MS would eventually add Georgian letter support to OS. But with all this new updates, support for Georgian letter is still missing. So, if you could help I and probably all the Georgian language community would appreciate your help.

Its gona be a bit of a hastle I think! with not much of a change altho its worth looking in to because I would'nt mind useing some other fonts on my system.
You can view the fonts on your phone useing touchexperiance
On your pc just open touchexperiance and open the file browser
Next go down the the section of files that start with S and you will see 9 fonts
segoeui.ttf
segoeuib.ttf
SegoWP.ttf
SegoWP-Black.ttf
SegoWP-Bold.ttf
SegoWP-Light.ttf
SegoWP-Semibold.ttf
SegoWP-Semilight.ttf
seguisym.tff
Im gessing replaceing the one's that says segoeui.ttf & segoeuib.ttf would be a good one's to try with.
Anyway im not sure what font is used buy the system or where you could change teh directory posibbly in shell Not sure?
The fonts might be overrideable or unmoveable not sure?
Some of the fonta are defenetly made strickly for windows phone 7
But you might beable to rename your font and usse it as a system font but agin not sure?
This might requre a custom update or a cooked in rom to use not sure!
The file you sent me was alredy instaled on my PC.
The fonts are digitaly sined by microsoft so im not sure if useing a diffrent one would break the system updates or if its even posible to modify without bulding a custom rom
In all honisty in order to do it and make it look right you would need 9 new versions of sylfaen.ttf
If I end up cooking my owen rom I will defenetly be trying to use custom fonts
but for now I have other projects im trying to finnish
If you want to look in to any of the things I mentioned & report back to let us know that would be good keep at it im sure you will figure it out if you dotn let us know whare you are stuck!
I know thats dose'nt help much but maby you have an idia about ware to start depending how bad you want them.
Puting together a nice pack of 9 fonts all the same that match orignals wouldbe a good start.
We could probly put together a nice quality custom update with that.

The fonts are placed into windows directory (by default) you can actually change the location of the fonts from the registry. If interested I can send you the extract from the WPk7 registry file, where the fonts and font linking is done. As mentioned I have coocked my own ROM with sylfaen in windows directory and changed some settings in the registry. It seems that copying the font only doesnot solve the problem, there is the registry key where you have to add the your font to. It is quite interesting, because all the fonts seem to link to SegoWP. The problem is that the range for Georgian fonts is actually present in all the fonts that a factory present in WP7. The only problem is that that range is empty. Thus, when viewing Georgian pages you recive blank squares instead of charachters. With my own cocked ROM with sylfaen.ttf in it, I recieved quite strange results, MS Word would display Georgian text perfectly, Outlook would not. The strangest happened to IE when viewing georgian pages... The page would start blinking?!? Very strange. At this point I quite playing arround with this prodject, as I got to the max I could do I was thinking of using the xap install/update method that Da_G provided, but it is too techy for me.
