My Touch HD is borked

Hey all,
I updated my Touch HD to the latest update off the website, but now my screen is green and I get absolytely no reception. Does anyone know whats going on?
I dont want anything fancy. Just a working phone...

also, i will hook someone up $50, via paypal if you can help me fix this ****. Just PM me. Thx.

A resource thread on the latest HTC upgrade ROM.
Many people, myself included had the green screen/sluggish performance problem.
It is solved by:
1) Flashing back to the original ROM
2) Flashing back to the original SPL
3) Using USPL to flash the new update ROM
Details are fully explained in the thread I linked to above. I suggest reading it thoroughly before doing anything.
Hopefully this fixes your problem. Please pop back if you have any problems or you've solved it!

ya, i have just about downloaded every file, read every thread, and have tried everything...i just want my stupid phone to work!!!

Well, you have just flashed your HTC Touch HD with the latest HTC ROM from their website from the sounds of it.
I suggest reading that thread. I would consider myself a Novice at this but it is quite easily explained and will probably take you no longer than 1 hour to read, understand and do.

I just dont understand why HTC would publicly release an update that would **** up your phone?
I dont want to learn how to program this ****, I just want to run an update and have it work...soooo frustrating!!!!!!!

like, if someone can hold my hand and help me with this, I will seriously pay you...

Its not HTC who "****ed up" your phone, but it was you! You have installed HSPL, which isn't compatible with the latest rom. Its not HTC fault at all.
So, try to get back to the stock spl, then flash the rom again. You shouldn't experience this green screen problem any longer then.
All questions regarding this problem were already answered, so just read through the various threads, take some time, and you will get it.

[TMOUS][NAND]working Tmobile HD2 build first time around...

So i am really new to the forums but have got a working NAND build the first time around. THANKS TO ALL WHO SUPPLIED ME WITH THESE FILES !!!!!!!
I took these steps to get it working with no problems
As soon as you get past the GO GO GO part and it loads android, then the intial setup. Go into the phone and do a factory reset. This will not do anything but put the files in check.
USE WIFI and this will go smoothly !!!! So you should update these prgrams ONE BY ONE manually through the market in this order. Or i ran into the market not working properly. and the phone reseting on me over and over as the programs were installed.

THEN RESET YOUR PHONE
WORKED LIKE A CHARM THE FIRST TIME(after the update install issue)
1) DFT_LEO_MAGLDR111
2)DFT_LEO_NAND_Android
3)HSPL3_PKG
4)Radio 2.08.50.05 + task29(replaced with a working radio of my choice.) AT&T Vermont area

Man the thread started on Jan,2011. No need bring up anymore. And it was talking about the first nand Rom for HD2...
Still remember I didn't sleep that night working on the flashing deodex desire sense but was error...

need to put t-mobile back to stock for warranty

phone has the slide to unlock problem, did the nand dft android system using magloader but need to put it back to usat-mobile stock and cant find the writeup in the faq? Any help to link would be great thanks.

You're probably in the wrong forum. Check out this thread, your answer is probably in there...

You will probably have to download a stock wm 6.5 rom and use the flash from sd card method from the bootloader to bring it back to stock.

First off i used nand to flash and need to know how to put it all back.
second used the search and couldn't find the answer before asking, all the posts links to factory roms were closed.
third i have been a "newb" longer than you have but im sure you have never asked a question when you couldn't find the answer!

Thanks, now if I can get htc or t-mobile to replace the phone?

Talked to tmobile this morning and there overnighting me a new phone. Now i have to decide what build to put in it, the choices are overwhelming!
Any thoughts?

if you want a sense rom with everything working Froyo build try CoreDroid 1.7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926507
Otherwise if you prefer gingerbread sense

I used a very stable DFT froyo build last time and liked it, but that was awhile ago and sure things have changed!
I don't have any experience with the gingerbread sense? Maybe have to give it a try.

Sense is an additional interface added to Android, which makes it more user friendly, has more options etc
try both sense and pure android you'll see the difference

so what spl should it be to look stock? "2.10.00.."?

Man you got 4 threads on the first page alone ..stick to ONE and will be easier for others to understand what process your going through as this means nothing..

when you ask a question, it helps if you specify the rom you're using, what you're trying to update or do. just posting an error msg is no help.
more details the better...
agreed...stop posting a new thread for every issue...keep some sense of problem history.

yeah, sorry about that. I could never figure out what was actually wrong. so I broke down and switched to hd2o's rom which was fully updated. SO i have it now. thanks for all you help and sorry for the post thing.

glad you took my original advice from days ago and use a rom that is simpler to install. and actually, you'll have to reflash once hd2o updates his rom with the official tango.

It is what it is. I made a backup so it really should be that big of a problem. the marketplace is the main reason I finally gave up. It should be simple to install a new rom now that I have the hang of it.

there reall no way to backup/restore a wp7 installation. when you flash the next version from the dev you'll have to set up everything again.
marketplace issue? marketplace works fine on yuki..all the roms. anyway, enjoy your wp7.

go look at leo advanced in the rom forum. don't know if it'll work on hd2o's rom

I'll get back to you on that one. downloading now. Doesnt work on hd2o's rom. keeps backing out of the application.

try installing the app immediately after flashing the rom and and the hard reset. hope you hard reset after flashing the rom...you should always hard reset after the initial flash.

Fingerprint Scanner not working

Recently, Cyanogenmod got the feature for fingerprint scanners on the Samsung Galaxy S5. I updated my phone to the latest version and whenever I try to use my fingerprint scanner it allows me to save one but it gives me a "not recognized" message whenever used on the lockscreen. I've tried re-installing the ROM and even flashing Mokee ROM and it gives me the same message so I need some help.

For any questions you should post on the Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section. As @ad0dh67 said, before asking first read the rules and do a search about the topic you are trying to find out about first. There is one post on the General Section posted by the developer that got the fingerprint working. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/fingerprint-opensource-romcm-mokee-t3315196 He basically states there that there are some devices in which fingerprint doesnt work yet at least for cm, If I recall correctly the G900T(T-Mobile) is one of them. I have one myself and it doesnt work for me either so we just have to wait and see what happens or you can install his rom and see if it works there.

I have the Canadian s5 and I have a friend that has a scanner that works so I'm not really sure what's going on

I update this thread because i've same problem... On ROM Stock scanner works, but on custom (Resurrection or Cyanogen) doesn't works...
I tried wipe data, factory reset, install new ROM but same problem...
Nobody have solution ?

Did you dirty flash the ROM?
I'm using the latest nightly on my G900F and the scanner works completely fine.

Finally works !
I update my baseband/bootloader version and all work !
