Im new to windows mobile (former android user) and i keep seeing roms and radios with tmous on them and i was wondering if you can still flash them on uk devices?
yes you can use tmous roms on regular hd2. its only tmous users that need to be careful.

Hello all and pardon my ignorance.
I will be getting the HD2 next week and I have some questions..
1-Can I do HSPL with US version with same instructions in this forum ?
2-Can I do Roms of LEO to US version ? or eventually they will develop US rom versions ?
Thank you all in advanced.
You can't run HSPL as the US HD2 has SPL 2.xxx on it - you need SPL 1.42 to use HSPL

tmob us stock rom is the best
is it really? all id seen so far is how much ram it uses up
just to build off of his question, when HSPL 2 IS released, will Tmobile USA HD2's be able to use the same cooked ROMS that are available now? Or will there be special versions specific to the Tmobile USA version?

no, any rom will work.
i have tried everything
none of the hspl1 or 2 or sspl work with tmo usa hd2 as of yet....it probably has to do with the diff in memory also worried about how the hspl's and cooked roms with use the new memory allocation with the usa version???
maybe i am an idiot but what is the difference hd2 and tmobile hd2? Just wondering why there are separate forums.
flash a rom NOT based on 2.1 - tmo us hd2 won't boot
flash a radio with 51 in the version - bricks the tmo us hd2

Really??? even when hardspl'd or with sspl, cid/sec unlocked? thanks though I couldnt figure out the difference..
The size, MT HD2 is slightly toller. So if you buy the case for euro/asia version, it won't fit

yep. have a look for the "really bricked?" threads.
bad rom can be re flashedas you would expect, bad radio - phone won't even go into bootloader.
its to do with the tmous having the full 576 ram un hidden, is our best guess.
Should i be flashing 23569 roms or 29105?
WHAT seriously????
oh and another thing

I would definitely do some research regarding flashing your phone, 23569 & 29105 are not determinations in the type of HD2 you have. They are just different versions of WM, one being 6.5 (29XXX) & 6.5.5 (23XXX). Either one will work for your HD2 (be sure to verify that the rom you are flashing is Tmo compatible, most are but flashing a non TMOUS Rom will leave you with a brick)
I just realized the T-Mo HD2 has a separate for it. So do these ROM's and mods work on the T-Mo verison? There doesn't seem to be nearly as much stuff in the T-Mo forum as in this one.
you can flash any ROM but you must check if it's compatible with Tmous. it doesn't matter if your device is T-mobile or non tmobile or unlocked, Android run on all of them as long as you have the proper radio/rom
How can i figure out what Radio I need to have on it to make it compatible?
Probably a **.50.** Radio not 51 . Although I don't own a Tmous Device so I'm NOT SURE .. you better do your own researches on this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 ..

Besides that one 2.15.50.xx gave a lot improvement for ppl who use Android (such as myself hihi)...
I am using Energy 3.14 GTX 2.5 ROM - works fine
I will change my HD2 with TMOUS HD2 one. What do you think about that? I am from Eastern Europe, is this a problem?
Is there enough Android and WM6.5 ROMs for T-Mobile version.
Is it worth the whole, this change?
512MB ROM more
Yes it is worth the change as just about all, if not all, Android ROMs will run on the TMOUS. And most custom ROMs now are based on the 3.14 stock TMOUS ROM. I absolutely love my TMOUS. Just remember you can not flash a 2.04.50.xx, 2.05.50.xx, or any x.xx.51.xx radio to the TMOUS or you will brick the phone. So never ever flash a non T-Mobile stock ROM to it. Also do not flash the 2.01 ROM in the T-Mobile HTC HD2 test and stock ROM thread here on XDA to it as it has a 2.05.50.11 radio and will brick a TMOUS.
Are the Android builds for T-Mobile HD2 better than regular HD2?

You must know more about it then mecause I am notaware of any Android ROM that is spacificaly for the TMOUS. If it is please pointmy tothem and I will try them out. I currently am using Hyperdroid on my TMOUS and it is great. I went withHyperdroidas I did stood bit of reasearching on the Android ROMs and thought Hyperdriid sounded best to me, now that was just my opinion not a definitive statement. I have a link to it in my sig if youwantto check it out. Nowasfor your question most of the Android ROMs run great on the TMOUS fromwhat Ihave read. I am also member of the T-Mobile forums and every one therethathas went NAND Android loves any Android ROM they try.
