Auto Correct - Hero CDMA General

This isnt a serious thread or anything, but i noticed that when i type 'have' and mess up a little, the htc keyboard auto corrects with 'ubersexual'. anyone else find other interesting auto corrections?

"Small" keeps trying to be "anal"

HA! Yes, I just had that happen this morning... funny, never used the word "ubersexual" before... and why would it choose that word as an option for "have"? Not even close!!

Just sent a txt to my wife that said Ubersexual Anal just for the hell of it.

PLEASE turn off 'powered by tapatalk' in your settings

i can't tell you how many people have the app (congrats), but almost every thread i see now, somebody has 'powered by tapatalk' in the sign off.
there is a setting in the app to turn that off.
please do.
the spam is killing my eyes, lol
I moderate a forum with over a million members and the Admins will not allow this app to be used with the forum because users will not turn off that signature.
it is annoying and it is advertising. So, if you want tapatalk to grow and become compatible with more sites, TURN THE SIG OFF!

it just sucks dude, I've asked my admins to install the plug in but they won't because of the sig and because of the sig I cannot use the app at the site. I don't actually mind the sig, it is just keeping me and others from being able to use the app at sites we frequent.

Yep, I for one would surely appreciate it if you foks could turn that off, it does get annoying. Thanks.
While it is annoying, what harm is it doing by being in a post? It isnt like your eyes or your PC or your own persona force you to read it.
I could care less, it does no harm and then if you dont like it, dont read it.

For me, it is really annoying since as I read someone's post, I like to read everything they wrote, and if there is a stupid tag line at the end like that, I end up reading it over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.
So it does do harm, by annoying many users of this site and distracting us from what is important, the post itself.

Yep, what he said.
While I see how it can be really annoying to some people. I just hope they don't start banning people because of it. Maybe the developer should make the sentence shorter or something. Just something we all could agree on.. maybe even a small picture that when you see it, you knew it was sent from tapatalk.

Is xda neglecting tapatalk? Never had a new update since its release. We want search, and I found a bug. If I want to refresh a forum, it locks up at processing. I have to manually refresh each thread I am following.

your having problems refreshing? im having problems using the app altogether. most of the times when i open it, it flat out closes. not even a force close sometimes. just gave up on it really.
Thanks for the heads-up, I was thinking about gettin it... Now I'll pass.
Jero, it's still good to use. The only problem I really get is the refreshing and locking up, which I just kill it using autokiller..Otherwise, it's fine. But an update would be nice.

Why exactly can't they just fix this one? Bad marketing tactic if you ask me. I work in a biz that relies on attractiveness and if I offer a turd for free, what makes you think the customer would pay for that turd?

Yes. Taparalk makes it. Forums apply plungins. The XDA Tapatalk app itself was made just for XDA though. I'm sure the Dev that made it comes to XDA...either that or XDA asked for one. In either case, the Dev would oprobably see this in the General section as opposed to a device specific section as XDA is not the Dev.

Nifty Little Trick I Found

If You Slide Your Finger To The Left Of The Notification Bar
It Dims The BackLight And Slide It To The Right And it Brightens It
You Can Only Do It By Sliding The Top Of The Notification Bar
(Don't Slide It All The Way Down)
It Works On Stock (JFD And JI6)
Not Sure About Everything Else
You should read the sticky in my signature, you may be missing some other easter eggs.
I probably would have never noticed this, but it does work.
Running bionix 1.9.1 btw
Only works if auto brightness is unchecked.

Touchless Control one step closer to be truly "touchless"

Having to touch the screen to confirm sending a text message was my biggest gripe with Google Now. This is going to be awesome, especially paired with Touchless Control.
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013...conversational-voice-commands-just-like-siri/
That's awesome! It didn't bug me to much that I had to make one screen press to send a text, but I did find it odd that my sgs3 was able to send a text with a voice command... Though, it took me repeating the message 5 times for it get it right lol.
Moto X rocking 4.4
Finally getting close to the utility of Siri for handsfree use! If only it would read out the text before asking you to confirm it.

Stupid comment, but I just realized (or maybe it only just got implemented) that you could spell out a word if it isn't picking it up right. My girlfriend's name is spelled weird, so I just took a shot in the dark...huh. Learn something new everyday.
Also, conversational voice commands paired with Touchless Control is amazing.

Oh wow, thanks for that! My girlfriend's name is Johana but the phone keeps telling me I have no Joanna in my contacts, I'll try the spelling out trick later. And I tried messing with the phonetic names option but it messed my contacts list. I put "Babe" as my girlfriend's phonetic name and it sent her in the B section of the list even though her name still read right.

I have several phonetic names set in my contacts. This is what I do:
1. Try a SMS or email command with the name pronounced correctly
2. See what Google Now searches for when I say that name
3. Set the phonetic name as whatever Google Now searches for
