So i have been having a lot of freezes with using the phone function. Most of them happens:
1) when the phone rings, i try to answer it using the slider and it freezes
2) when trying to make a call, it gives me the connected vibration and the call timer starts to count, but no voice come through. I will have to hang up and it freezes then.
Does anyone have the same issue or any suggested solutions?

Disable the below setting.
Start > Settings > Menu > All Settings > Today > Items
The setting "Today timeout", at the bottom left hand corner, should not be selected/checked/ticked/enabled.

When someone call's me, i cant pick up.
For a brief moment i can see who's calling,
but then i go's to the home screen
and i cannot answer the call, all though its still ringing.
Even slide open the phone or try to answer with the (green) hard button,
its no use.
What could be the problem?
and how can i fix it?
maybe a hard-reset can help you.
Go to start-> settings ->system and use clear storage function...
you will loose all contacts, sms's, etc....
you got the same problem as everyone else. the phone freezes. sometimes when phone calls come in ... others it just freezes at any time
i never had a freezing problem in my touch dual....
i'm using the niki project rom....

could be some truth in it.
I've just un installed the S2U2
since it chopped to much memory (almost 6000 kb)
(i know this thanks to the nifty device Task manager v2.9)
And haven't got the problem since.
by the way does anyone know what the program 'gwes.exe' does?
it keeps growing its kb over time.
Hi, site looks great, need to explore more, but reason i am here at mo is i'm trying to find out if there is a way to let the phone light up when a text is received? like a conventional phone/ this is my first wondows mobile / pocket pc thing, so its taking some time getting used to it
At moment though i have to press the power button to check if any texts, and this will be using power as pressing it when no texts are in (phone is silent at work)
IS this poss to achieve? either through settings, or a app?
You can use HD Tweak (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452505) to turn on a feature that causes your phone to turn on when you receive a text.
You can also go to the Sounds and Notifications setting in your phone and check the box that will cause your little LED light on the power button to keep flashing until you check your message.
thanks for the help, will look into that
I did that and works great (thanks to HD Tweak) but I found out why they decided to not turn on the screen by default... whenever I receive a SMS and the phone is on my pocket, I start making calls by mistake...

Go to "Settings, Buttons"
Either select "Lock Device" or "Always display Quick list"
Long press on the end call key will then Lock all input so even if the phone does wake, it wont respond unless unlocked.
Locked phone is essential if you have a Bluetooth car or Earpiece as the phone will wake everytime on connect/disconnect also.

Probably need to hard reset
i managed to make it work well with v vibrate and vibro cfg but after restarted these settings lost again and the problem exists.
using these progrmmes second time and nothing happens.
i think its a registry setting not a hard reset but i cant find it.
where or how can i change these vibtation settings in the registry?
i use win 6.5
thanx
I turned off all vibration or feedback and yet my phone vibrates when I get incoming calls. I unchecked all the boxes trust me and it still vibrates? Is it just me or does anyone else get this? I simply don't want it to vibrate when i get incoming calls!!!
Any suggestions!

Is the profile on vibrate? Try Menu > Settings > Sounds > Vibrate in General.
nope! it's on Normal with vibrate unchecked
Had the same issue and found this on Androidworld:
Try this:
Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications
Find the keyboard software you are using (for example "Android-Keyboard"), press "delete cache" and "delete data". This removes al personal settings of the keyboard.
After that I rebooted and vibration was turned off. Hopes it works!
Does this also remove all dictionary entries?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
On a side note, I think I get times where the phone occasionally vibrates for no good reason - no apparent notification, no apparent change or anything.

Good, at times I thought it was me going mad but I'm 100% sure it does this occasionally - but it could be absolutely anything, so I didn't even bother trying to find the cause.
I'm getting the same. 1 short followed by 3 short "pulses". The phone was in silent-mode (no vibrate), and I didn't get any calls og messages at the time.
I have been searching and have not found my particular issue yet. From time to time my phone will start making a popping sound and after it stops all audio is routed through the ear piece instead of the speaker. This has happened about 3 times so far and only started after NoDo. They only way I can make it stop is to restart the phone. I would appreciate any information you could give me.

go in to diagnosis mode
1) open up dial pad and dial ##634#
2)find the diagnosis iconlisted in your app list (black gear icon/says Diagnosis)
3)dial in *#0002*28345# if not work then try *#0002*28346#
4)Click Get under the Device Gain (max/min) should be 1200 -500
5)keep the 7 in the first box
6)in the second box type in 1600
7)in the third box put 5
8)click set
9)click start
10)after start is not highlighted white, click the home buttom/windows button
11)after restart repeat steps to get back to the sound menu and click get to see if the phone accepted the new values.
this does modify the sound and makes it louder but it also resets it.

Did you even read the question?
I haven't seen that issue anywhere, and even though you've noticed it after the NoDo update, I think that's more of a coincidence because it sounds hardware related. Check out the jack and make sure there's nothing foreign hanging around, otherwise, take it back under warranty.
