OK people, I am running 1.93 stock rom, but i installed the old .30 manila as i wanted the old fancy animations. However, i have a problem with this version, the SMS font size is too big, making reading long messages troublesome (have to open windows inbox). I tried Diamond TF3D Config but there was no option to change the font size.
Can someone help me or tell me how to change the SMS font size to that of the version of Manila in the 1.93 rom?
Here's the old version of manila i am using:
http://theloanranger.romraid.com/tlr-manila.cab
Thanks in advance, and please don't attack me lol, i'm pretty new to this stuff, just got my Diamond on Friday.
Guys,
I have been browsing the Blackstone & Raphael forums where work is underway/already completed for porting the cool new TF3D from Touch Pro2 for those devices.
Any idea if we can expect the same for our very own Xperia also???
I saw that Dutty has cooked a ROM for Blackstone which has this TF3d built in along with all the add ons. Will this work on Xperia? Anyone know if there is a cab for just the manila which one can try on the Xperia instead of flashing the entire ROM???
Awaiting anxiously
itjes new rom has it.
Laurentis has packaged it, look in the BS rom forum..
Cabs???
Anywhere one can get the manila in cab format??? Dont really wish to flash the rom.
itje said he is working on the cabs i think.
a panel version would be great!!!
im also working on cab...
sorry to jump on a ask for even more, i don't want to sound ungrateful when all the guys are cooking so hard...but could we possibly have updated individual cabs for the dialer, task manager and comms manager from the new TouchPro2?
please please please!
Hi
I can't find my manila version.
I know that i have to go, in touch flo 3d navigate to the Settings tab, and scroll down to ABOUT. But the "about" button take me to the Opera Browser: file://localhost/windows/manila_about.html , and there is nothing to know about the version.
Thanks

What ROM are you running? It would be the manila version native to your ROM.

That ROM came stock with manila 2.1, not sure what the build# is though
So my Manila Bruce, probably is the 2.1..
Right?
Yes, it would have to be.
Once again Bruce Inman, thanks.
I have oyher question, and sorry if it's a silly one but I really don't know the solution!
I looked for Manila 2.1 themes, and it was difficult to find some of them, but i found one that it was nice ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563451 ), i downloaded the "Boost Manila 2.1.zip ", installed the .cab file but and nothing! I mean, it wasn't at the Today opcion in the Settings tab..
I don't know what am I doing wrong, if the file that I downloaded was not the best one, if it's not correct one for my HTC..
Sorry for bad english!
Thanks for the help

First, the file you downloaded was for the Diamond, not the TD2, therefore it is incompatable.
Second, go here to post 5. These are the different versions of the Manila theme. There are many because each new build of Manila tweaks the home layout, so they are always slightly different.
Lastly, remember Max Manila is a Manila theme, not a windows theme, so next you need to find a windows theme if you want to. I use Dusk themes because I like the black bars. Dusk themes are ROM build dependent so look for your build number, if you don't see it, use the newest build available. This is the one that loads to your Today Settings and you must select it to display. There are also Dusk Clocks and Taskbar icons in that thread as well.
If you scoll through the Topaz Themes and Apps threads, you will find more themes and most will have full instructions on how to install.
Good Luck.

Thanks for the help, for all the time you expended.
I'm scared now, when i started to look for themes, i never thought that could be so dificult!
I'll try!

The beauty of it is if it don't work you can just uninstall it.
Sorry to post this thread on the main forum, please move to appropriate thread if necessary.
i have installed Dutty's HG V4.2 ROM and i am very happy with its speed and stability, just 1 minor issue, when i access Phone dialpad and do a "All People" and "Back" i get an overlapping Dialpad icon. this issue happens after i install the "All-in-one" cab from the thread "Make HD2 support read and write for Traditional Chinese" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700311&highlight=Chinese.
I have to use this cab because i live in Asia and read/write Chinese is a must for me, and this cab works beautifully on Dutty's ROM. However, would appreciate someone can help me with this problem i am having.
BTW i have tried "[FIX] - Fix for the overlapping dialpad icon in Phone canvas in WM6.5.x" from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654523 and it doesnt work for me.
Thanks all and screenshot attached.
This question should be posted in Dutty's ROM thread and not seperately.
Sorry, was hoping to get more visibility as this issue has been bugging me for a while now. I have posted on Dutty's ROM thread as well, plz feel free to delete this post. Thx.
i dont think thats a duttys rom related issue...i have noticed before i flashed loads of roms that nearly all of em had this...very fustrating
Try to flash another rom?
Hi!
Im using the rom Besfen released (the wm 6.5 one) which has manila TF2d 1.2
I wanted to upgrade to manila 2d 2.0 but dont know how to. So please help me out here!
there is no way to upgrade your manila unless the ROM has the required dependancies cooked in...but even then you would lose a lot of space on your phone memory while installing 2.0 and might even face inter-compatibility issues...
i suggest flashing a ROMs with manila 2.0 cooked in it...go through the ROM development section to find one that you like...
Hi thanks for the info......well actually i tried finding a good rom with manila 2.0 and was unsuccessful...then i thought, why not wait a little more for karanz new rom (the v8).
If you can suggest any good rom with the new manilla in it or if there is any way to get the flipping clock(the actual flipping one ) somehow because thats all i want from the new manila
i don't think karan's V8 is gonna have manila in it...last i read was that he was planning on releasing a clean ROM coz he wanted to focus on performance and not the looks...
if its a ROM you want then you could try karan's V7 or my own Psychocynicystic ROM coz i felt they performed fairly well...both have manila 2.0...nedalll's rom also has manila but i think it was 1.2...
(and now for a bit of shameless self-publicity)
or you could download my latest Dark Water ROM and install manila 2.0 with nice skin built in from pin12's thread (i've confirmed it to work myself)
and if its only the flipping clock you want...you could download a plugin for titanium but it still isn't as smooth and graphically well presented as having the actual manila flip clock...
ooooh didnt see that your rom also had manila 2.0 :3 gonna try it out now
