AVLock - Nexus One General

Hey guys..
I have flashed 15 recent apps+avlock mod. But after I cant flash any theme releated mod like desire bar or nextheme. So I tried uinstalling avlock by using adb to remove gesture.key but that was of no use. Now I want to flash nextheme, so what can I do?

Reflash your rom.

Will it unistall any app or any data? N after that will I have to flash all the other addons/mod which I have flashed using recovery?
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk

Go back in time and do an nandroid before flashing avlock.

I was falling short of space on my memory card so I removed the nandroid backup before I got to know this incompatibility of avlock with other other themes..

Plz help..

I reflashed my rom... But now my market app is gone!

flash gapps

Pershoot: what happens to the 15 recent apps now that the avlock is committed to cyanogen 5.0.7?

[Help] What to do after rooting?

Hi all, sorry im an IT noob,
But after using alpharevx to s-off and nej's method, i've successfully rooted my phone..
Now what do i do nxt?
How to flash a rom?
IF possible someone give me a step by step guide pls thanks
You need to install clockword mod recovery first.
Then create a gold card.
You can then copy new ROM files to your SD card and then boot into recovery to install them.
This is very primitive, but let me know if u encounter any problems.
Google is your friend

Great.
Have u downloaded the custom rom.

Yeah I downloaded the latest one... from cyanogenmod website. What to do next?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Put that file in memory card.
Then reboot to recovery.
Then select option to do factory reset / wipe data / wipe cache / wipe dalvik cache.
Then select install zip from sdcard. Then select choose zip from sdcard. Then select ur file downloaded. That's all. Takes about 5min to install and 5min to 1st boot.
And in recovery mode, the trackpad should be used for selecting option. And power button for go back option. If u r stuck with an android picture then press power button.

Can you get to the recovery?
Flash it
And regarding cm7 also download google apps and flash in the same way.
And that's all for cm7 AFAIK. u don't need any extra kernels if u r a simple user. OC KERNEL is also inbuilt. Check cyanogenmod settings under settings.

Nandroid backup should be done before installing a custom rom. It is must if u ask me bcoz it clears many issues.
And titanium backup is for advanced users to be used after flashing a custom rom. Yes kernel might change depending on its presence in the custom rom. But don't worry. Custom kernels will be better than stock kernel.
Edit: Titanium backup can also be used before installing custom rom to backup contents. These contents can be restored after installing custom rom.

Google apps will be present at where u downloaded the custom rom I think. But if u make a google search it is easy to find. Don't forget to download for buzz.

Hmmm so meaning I only have to do nandroid backup? Can u guide me along how to do that? And regarding Google Apps too. Thanks!
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
You can do a nandroid backup in the recovery.
Backup/Restore option if my memory is correct.
Then just click backup and wait a bit
Nandroid backup can be done from the custom recovery. Explore it and u will find it under nandroid. Takes 5 min to backup. A size if around 250MB on sdcard will be used.
And Google apps is a zip file around 10mb which can be flashed in the same way from the custom recovery as a custom rom flashing process.

Oh okay thanks! Ill try. So basically that's it right? But what about contacts on my phone? Will it be transferred or must I change them all to sim card? anyway just being curious will flashing s custom rom be of a huge difference?

You need a nandroid backup BEFORE flashing a rom, because that's like a system recovery image. If something goes wrong, you can still go back.

[Q] From CWM back to stock on L7?

Hi guys,
I flashed CWM10 on my LG L7 but now, given that LG is pushing JB to it, I want to revert to the stock rom. How can I do that? Do I simply flash the V10K european ROM on it from recovery mod, like it was mentioned on another topic? Is Recovery Mod still needed to be on the device with the stock rom?
If revert it directly you culd have some problems. Before i flash CM10 i made a backup and now i recover from there with CWM. Did you made backup?

The device is new and my contacts are on the SIM, no need for backup, didn't store anything on it yet. Managed to revert it by hard resetting it ( Volume+ and Volume- + Power + Home at the same time), it reverted to the original stock ROM. Now waiting for Jelly Bean
Btw, any idea why LG Mobile Support Tool suddenly crashed? It worked after I installed it, now it goes like 5% of the loading bar, then it closes. I am on Win7 x64, are there any conflicts with it ? I can't use the LG software to check for updates apparently
In my case it was from usb software. Try to reinstall the softwares.

You've made a mess of your phone. You need to flash the stock rom and start over again. See Adam Outler's post in the development forum on odin flashing the stock rom. Then read a whole bunch before you do anything else.
Edit, and why did you remove any apk's? Don't mess with things you don't know anything about.

Did you take a backup before deleting?
If not, the only way to get it back is a restore to stock... or a piece-wise restore of each app if you can find someone to send you the apk files.

So.... If you install a custom recovery this thread has a Samsung crap add-on that you can flash just like any other zip.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42294395
It will most likely have all of the Samsung stuff in it so you will probably have a little debloating to do, but at least you will have the pack if you delete too much again.
Also if you make nandroids you could just go into recovery and restore system, but that's probably not an option as you haven't installed custom recovery.
Good luck.

always make a backup first.
this is why most users generally just freeze an app, not delete it. as joeybear23 said, you may have to flash stock
I've flash the stovk rom with kies and now its perfect. Thank all for your help.

Can't flash new rom

I seem to have a slight problem, I cannot flash any rom on my d802. It flashes ok in recovery but cannot get past setup without force closing and restarting the setup and cannot enter the rom. I can only restore the backup that I have and works fine. Am I missing something. ? Also I just get the android coloured cross boot screen not the lg one.

I am on starfighters flex 3.5 rom. If I flash anything else flex or stock the setup screen in the wizard is plain android not lg themed. I have tried full wiping, wiping with system or dirty flashing. I have tried all recoverys . it gets to the end of the setup wizard and then just restarts the setup after force closing. I can only restore the flex rom from backup. If I try to flash the same rom from scratch it does the same.

So you have the 3.5 ROM and the myhub fix zips right?
Then start by wiping cache, davlik, system, and data then wipe those again.....then flash the ROM zip then the myhub fix.....then wipe cache and davlik again this reboot.....
Thanks for the reply. But how will I be able to move back to a non flex rom?

Download another ROM and gapps if needed,....go into recovery do the same four wipes(cache, davlik, system and data .....then do again for good measure then flash the ROM and flash the gapps if needed.....then wipe cache and davlik ....then reboot! How this helps....you should always make a back u before you start flashing so if anything bad happens just wipe and restore...
Ok thanks I'll give this a go later. I have the backup of this rom, makes a change for me to have one. I am a bit wreckless with flashing roms sometimes as I seem to try all of them.

Tried everything you suggested but its not working. Going to unroot and flash back to full stock factory and start again.

So the ROM will start up and just for close? And your wiping everything besides internal storage before flashing?
It will start setup till it gets to end of setup then force close then restart setup wizard. But its happening on roms that I've flashed before. Wiping everything except data. Numerous times.
