HTC Sync already works with Outlook 2010, it does not work with Outlook 2010(x64).

And there's my issue - lol!!

Unfortunately it does not. It does some basic synchronization, but it does not support one contact in more categories. E. g. if John Rambo is in categories: Personal, Business, Golf, on my phone it is in one category "Personal\; Business\; Golf".
I also got this answer from HTC Support: "The version of htc sync we are currently running was released before the release of outlook 2010 so some aspects may not function properly as that version of outlook is not one of the supported versions."

Outlook Mobile 6....

Well, i have seen numerous versions of WM6 in the other parts of these forums, and we recently got AKU3.3 (which i am more than satisfied with..)
however, lots wants more (not sure that is the correct translation )
I wonder if there are any way to extract Outlook Mobile 6 from the WM6 and install/replace Outlook Mobile 5 (Wm5).
I believe stranger things has happen on these forums
why would I want this? Well, basically, html mailsupport and because of that stop using Flexmail (don't quite like it..it is good, but hey, Outlook are so much more integrated with the os + emoze works only with Outlook.
anyone is doing this already? knows if it is possible?
Keep in mind what you're asking for from your is actually a 3-component solution:
- Outlook for WM6 on the handheld
- Outlook 2007 on the desktop
- Exchange 2007 on the server

And?
I guess his point is that very very few organizations currently use Exchange 2007.
i got two out of three
however, does html mail ONLY work with exchange 2007? not imap for example? and why not with 2003?

Agreed but those numbers should increase in the short term.
And I got 2 out of the 3 as well

Microsoft Office Mobile 2010 Beta - Outlook?

Anyone notice any changes to Outlook on thier ATT Tilt 2 running WM6.5?
Supposadly, it should have "conversation view" enabled for emails, but I see no changes to Outlook after installing...

I didn't see any differences to Outlook either...even though 2010 replaced the 2007 versions of Exel, Word, etc.

http://blog.brightpointuk.co.uk/exchange-2010-outlook-mobile-update-windows-mobile-61
look this!
The mobile Outlook update only applies to clients connected to Exchange 2010?
Lame.
wait ... there will be updates for everyone else, right ?
I'm running Office 2010 beta and quite enjoy the conversation view setting. Makes the inbox much less cluttered puts consecutive mails nicely in proportion.
A problem however - When I try and set up my TP2 with ActiveSync it doesn't allow me to sync my mail and calender. Says that Outlook is not installed.
I suppose the default Activesync version isn't compatible with office 2010, so anyone know of some updates or tweaks?
Thank you very much
I am nearly sure you have a 64 bit system. try it on 32bit system and office 2010 will sync.

You are running w/ Exchange to use the conversation view...right?
Correct, and yes, I'm using 64 bit on my computer. Office 2007 sync perfectly on the 64-bit. Oh well, for the mean time I'm "downgraded" again to 2007 until the final version comes out.

HTCSync..

Hi all Desire owners,
Can you tell me which version of HTCSync the Desire ships with?
Is it 2.0.25? I heard a rumour that it was 2.0.28?
Thanks!

It will sync with Outlook but only contacts and calendar, NO tasks.
I also had a problem getting it to sync with Office 2010 x64 version, but it works well with Office 2010 x86 verion.
How would one snyc his outlook tasks if it isn't supported by htc sync?

I find Outlook to be premitive with it's notes so I started using EverNote ...
I think this is one area where the Android is let down, full syncing capabilities. from the various syncing apps that I've seen, none yet seem to perform as well as MS ActiveSync.

i couldn't agree more. i started to use evernote as a workaround until i found that you can't edit noted on the device if they were created on my pc ? that makes the app completely useless to me.
perhaps evernote will update their app as i was hoping that it would replace the reliable but poor outlook notes app and one note. my search goes on ...

htc sync with hd2

is there a way to use htc sync pc application with hd2 to sync contacs music and more
bumbing............
no...answer???
If you need to sync contacts and calendar with Outlook use Android Sync. It's still in beta so there may be some problems (it doesn't support recurrent appointments as an example).
Hello. I tested using Android Sync with the FroyoStone Series - Version 1 (07-Aug-2010) build and was not able to perform a sync as the Android Sync app would not recognize my TMobile HD2. As I understand it, the FroyoStone build does not yet fully support USB so this may be why I observed the aforementioned results.
works with froyostone sense, the newest kernel and HTC Sync 3.0.5422
Yes you can
I have HTC sync working flawless on newest MattC 1.6B.
Download and install this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=726504
Reboot after install
Plug in phone and choose htc sync option.
Make sure drivers install correctly....if not you need this
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Check for update inside HTC sync
Download and Install update
Turn off sync for contacts and calenders (Kept getting unable to read from PIM message with these on and then sync cancelled)
**First sync takes a while if you have alot of file, but after that it is smooth as butta**
If anyone has a workaround for contacts and calenders please let me know as this would be handy!
Hope it works!
There is an android sync at android-sync.com for outlook sync. Seems good..

Are you sure that HTC sync is sync-ing contacts properly with outlook 2007?
In my case it leaves the phone numbers in fields "car", "Radio", "Assistant" etc. in a contact in outlook 2007.
I am using latest 3.11.55 ver of HTC Sync.
Any body with such issues?

Sorry for bumping an old thread.
This is what I am looking for, but you have to pay for it, as the trial only syncs 20 contacts.
Why should I pay for something that is still in beta and I feel it should be free, since android is free....
Or am I just being stupid? Are there any other free 'syncs' that I can use? I just want to sync my contacts....

On June 6th HTC released HTC Sync for all HTC Android Phones & HTC Smart.
I used this version to sync my Outlook 2007 contacts with my Android HTC HD2
Since I can't post links here, search "HTC Sync for all HTC Android Phones & HTC Smart" at Google.

Google Calendar Sync Now Supports Outlook 2010

http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/google-calendar-sync-now-supports.html
that's a good thing... i guess
for people tha t uses outlook
i prefer to work online in gmail account itself
Not counting business, which I wouldn't have synced to a personal phone, I haven't ever used outlook. It's calendars are great for networked, interoffice business though.
