Hello, friends,
I use the custom rom 23566 with driver version 3.003c, can I flash back to the official rom 21883 with driver version 2.003?
I am worrying whether I will brick my S200...
Please give me some advice, and I will appreciate your help very much!
you should be ok. (i have not try to downgrade my rom, so flash at your own risk!)
make sure you have over 50% battery before you flash.

Thnk you for answering.
I want know whether someone had tried it.
I feel that the new roms exhaust battery very fast, I would like to try some old roms and old drivers. My rom language is simple Chinese, there is no official roms with 3.003c for simple Chinese. I did not think the drivers work well...
no u cant. once you upgrade to official latest ROM. old official ROM can not be revert back. because the official ROM can detect version. once it found your ROM is the latest. it does not allow you to flash back to previous official version.
u can flash it to other cooked ROM and then only flash back to the previous Official ROM.
i tried it.

That is wrong! Download Acer Original Firmware version 2.0, extract it with ToolsByANPER to get flash.bin and extrom.bin.
Download one of Custom ROMs, i doesn´t matter which one (my Modular ROM or Arto´s Clean ROM). Extract the zip file.
Now copy in the original Acer flash.bin and extrom.bin into the extracted Custom ROM folder and overwrite the existing files.
Start the flash procedure with ACER_EUU.exe and follow the instructions.
Why do people state something and not search little bit more?

Thank you very much, guy. I think I have got answer from you. I think you mean that the driver information on the first screen is included in the flash.bin, do you?
As I know, the .amf file can be extracted to about 8 files, including .mbn and .bin files. And we can only flash any of them at one time( but the partition.mbn always must be flashed at the same time), a Chinese friend had tried and got these conclusion. I wrongly thought that the driver information on the first screen is included in one of the .mbn file. So I just thought that these "bios" files(.mbn files) are different in different rom version. I will check that whether they are the same.

You can also just extract the original acer 2.0 ROM and put the cracked ACER_EUU.exe from Custom ROM folder into original Acer 2.0 ROM folder and start the flash procedure.
That is gonna give you also the 2.0 Radio and bootloader.
If you do as i first said - then you will get 2.0 firmware but with 3.0 Radio and bootloader - (3.0 Radio is better because Acer thit some fixes on the GPS, anyway newest Radio is always better).
EDIT: The information on the bootscreen is about Radio and Bootloader, not about drivers - drivers are integrated into flash.bin.
I have checked that, for official 3.003b/c, the only one file different is appsboot.mbn .
Of cause, image.bin and extrom.bin are different between different languages. It's obvious.
The "partial update method" seems valuable for other system part (such as RADIO) keep the same.
Moreover, for the recent patch, Patch_Acer_1.0_WM65_GPS signal , the major change is amss.mbn .
For ENPRG8650.hex and NPRG8650.hex, these two files could be checking mbn files are correct.

Download your rom from there and flash it. Do remember all app, settings and root will be lost if you do this. So don't forget to do backups.
how can i flash it.. it's .exe file. not supposed to be zip file?

If you open the .exe and connect your phone, it will flash itself.
Or you can open it, go to your temp directory and get the .zip from there.
theres no .zip in temp folder.
Updated rooted Wildfire running custom ROM to official HTC OTA update
Hi,
I have managed to update my rooted Wildfire running a custom rom to the official HTC OTA update.
I tried to update my Wildfire by restoring my pre rooted backup. This did nog work. I got error from clockwise. I ran the following steps to succesfull update my phone.
1. Install HTC Sync. For rooting purposes you had to change the Android PC driver. By installing HTC Sync that driver will be restored to the default.
2. Download a shipped rom from the link above.
3. Connect your booted up Android to your pc.
4. Run the shipped rom executable.
5. After the shipped rom is installed you can download Android OTA. By checking for updates.

Can't download
I'm trying to download a stock ROM from the above link but it gets about 7MB into the download then fails. Downloading via chrome or IE it does the same.
Is there another location to get the stock ROM from? That site seems a little naff.
I wanna ask something.I have this phone and i have 2.2.1 stock rom U8800V100R001C00B136SP02CUSTC264D001.Here is my problem : i installed miui rom and now i don't know which files have to be in there. Here is the list.
amss.mbn
boot.img
EMMCBOOT.MBN
recovery.img
cust_data folder
Is this correct? Or do i have to delete some of these ?
Does Stock rom installation delete any of these files ?
I have a problem with my phone, my screen freezes sometimes, unresponsive Because of this, i wanna send it to the technical service.
Sorry for my English
If I understand correctly, you've flashed original firmware, and that should get the whole device back to stock.
Try booting to recovery and see if it's the right one (e.g. not CWM etc.)

Yes.Trying to get back to stock I will send it to technical service.
Flashing the official 2.2.2 or any of those roms from huawei writes everything back to stock, even custom recovery images and all that.
I have 2 backup.
1) A folder named : cust_data\massmarket\tr\ (This one from the original phone)
2) A folder named : cust_data\hw\ideos_x5\ (I got these from after i installed stock rom)
There is something wrong. What can i do with this? Can they figure out this in technical service ? I don't want my phone get out of warranty
- I made some ZIPs with scripts for you to flash any kernel or modem on CWM.
- It's simple, just drag and drop your file to the correct ZIP.
#Put zImage on the "Flash Kernel [zImage]"
#Put boot.img on the "Flash Kernel [boot.img]"
#Put modem.bin on the "Flash Modem [modem.bin]"
1. Extract the ZIPs from the 7z file first.
2. Just open your ROM file [Cyanogenmod {Also other AOSP, AOKP, etc...}, Samsung Stock, Samsung-based], extract the file, and drag and drop to the ZIP, then you install on CWM Recovery, very simple,
Download
in the meta-in folder, there are some cert files and stuff, do i need to move them in as well?

There are just binary and script, no need for certs. Just drag and drop or extract and compress the file you want to flash,
Re: boot.img -- have you never had problems with wifi using just the boot.img? Especially across firmwares such as AOSP <-> Samsung?
I always thought you also had to flash dhd.ko, among other modules. The advice here is what I have been following: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059412

No. Never had any problems. And maybe those libs are already inclued in the ROM, don't know. And all I know is that boot.img = zImage. I've seen a thread saying that you can rename boot.img to zImage.
Unfortunately this didn't work for me - the first time.
I ended up stuck on the boot screen - ie samsung galaxy siii logo appears, no boot animation to imply it's starting up
I tried restore from a CWM backup but there was a checksum mismatch (scrath that idea)
I thought i'd give it one last try.
I flashed your flash modem.zip first, then reflashed my ROM (Ripper ROM v7) with no data wipe, and it WORKED!
I'm pretty happy now because for a while there I thought I had bricked my device!
Now i just have to install a few more zips as addons to my ROM and i'm back in business. (just installed those, restarting now)
*edit* restarted, mods working ok, 4G/LTE connected, everything is good again
Just realized this thread was for the SGS2 whereas I have a i9305 SGS3 4G/LTE. Whoops. Well it worked, but in my case i had to reflash the ROM.
I think I have done it right, but my baseband version in About Phone still shows I9305ZHALI2 (it should read I9305TDVLI5)? The ROM i reflashed does not come with a radio, it uses the one already on your device.

Hello everyone!
So in these last couple of days I wanted to restore original ROM (Android 1.6) back from Cyanogenmod, but unfortunately I can't get any available stock ROM to work, installation of .zip s end up with "E: Unable to install............... .zip (bad)", the only one that worked so far was Cyanogenmod 7.2.0. Also I can't use any RUU to install ROM, because I'm using Linux, and RUU software doesn't work properly. I'm using Clockworkmod Recovery 5.0.2.0, my bootloader is unlocked and I have rooted phone. And I wanted to know if anyone has got original ROM's backup that would work for my recovery to reinstall original Android 1.6.
Thanks!
Have you tried to extract ROM zip file from ruu package installer?
https://github.com/kmdm/unruu/ (I've not tested)
Just found this thread that can help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=711302 (untested too, I've retired my tattoo long time ago )
If you're trying to flash donut roms try to downgrade recovery (for which i can remember from old days, very old Rom uses amend scripting language for flashing instead of edify)

So the version of the firmware I have is 11.0.054 which is a fairly old global firmware. It's really bad and I really want to update but since I don't own a PC my only option is to go through the process of manual installation of these ZIP packages...
The problem is though, I can't find the update files anywhere. I need 211 and so on until I get to 350.
Any idea where to get them?
Sorry the only file i can found for update.zip Ota start from 11.0.284.
You can look on 4pda

Edit: i found your post on 4pda so my help is useless......... No ota by now ?

I guess your bootloader is still locked. You have 2 options to upgrade to latest roms, both will involve wiping all data on your phone, so backup first:
- without unlocking BL, you can flash official ROM files with QPST. This will bring you to latest version and remain 100% stock; hence you will get future OTAs
- Unlock BL and flash any rom you want using fastboot or TWRP. This will give you the flexibility to swap rom versions, in most case you will be able to go from CN to ROW without wiping data. But you won't get OTAs. For all future upgrades you will need to flash with TWRP manually.
Before hand, you will have to choose whether you want CN (11.1.105) or ROW (11.0.350) rom.
You'll find walkthroughs here or using google.
