thanks buddy! do you need root fot this?

yes mate

I really like the "Bios" boot screen. Thanks a lot

any chance of preview images of each?! Sorry am new to Android side of things so wouldnt know what any of them look like!! haha!!

yeah, just add one jpg per bootscreen to get the picture.

the best..the one with bios .

I have the windows7 nexus boot, but i love the bios one as well)

Nexus Win7 is nice, though I find myself wishing it was in landscape and the full width of the phone... but alas, I unpacked it and found myself looking at 512x256 pngs. Maybe I'll try a batch resize and toy around with it myself...

It is said many many times(read sticky) TUT, you NEED root

my phone needs 10 secs to boot. why wasting time for a boot screen?

change T mobile at start up

hi im new to the WM6 thing im a long time PSP hacker taking on a new toy ^_^ there are many helpful and knoledgable people on this forum so i have decided to post here.
ok i have changed the gif file TMO_Startup.gif and befor it shows up i still get the lame ass T mobile logo for a second befor my new gif starts. is there a way to change that so i get my new gif and startup audio that i have customized with out the T mobile icon? i have been looking at forums all night and found nothing on this.
once more i only want that gif or png file CHANGED. i dont want to skip it i like my custom img poping up.
thanks ~LEE~
did you edit the registry key:
Code:
\\registry\HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\GIFFile
to your new *.gif?
I left the original T-Mobile gif and made my own, then edited that registry key to reflect the new file's name. I've never had the T-Mo logo pop up on startup momentarily after that.
That first image is actually a splash file built into the ROM. It can only be changed by custom making one and then flashing that custom splash.
Link on how to do it.
Sweet hours waisted
lol ive been going threw every file on my device no wonder i couldnt find it thanks for the help. is it worth making a custom rom with the risk of killing my wing just for this tho hmmmm.
just make your own rom with ivan's EasyBakeOven
then use ivans link(the one he posted) get the file from Ttran follow the instruction to get your own custom splash screen. then go to the ROMBUILD_JustClean folder in ivans EBO and replace that PrimarySplash with the one you made
Thanks for the help and the link guys i think i may do this my next day off. gonna take time to learn about the ROM chipset on the wing and restoring PPC. i have never bricked a PSP and sure as hell dont want to brick my wing.
so far i OC to 234 MHZ
changed loading gifs and png files
added aps
edited some things in the reg
changed some opp sounds I.E. / keyboard = transformers
This can actually be change by making a cab to change it. I did it for my exgf's phone without a problem.
can you post how you did that
I made a cab with a cab editor. I think I used WinCE ... but there are a couple different ones out there...

I would also like to see this cab file mate and I am sure you have made a few.. So please share with the rest of us.
well, i mean, you have to put the graphic you want into the cab ... so its not like there's 1 generic cab that works magic!

Ok .. How about a few cabs please with your selection of graphics and if it isnt too much of a bother and if you have time ( I dont want to press you ) a small tutorial.
install WinCE cab manager and take a look at it. Most of it is pretty self explanatory .. I'll help you with any questions you have.

Its really pretty easy to make a PrimarySplash.nbh and flash it. Just follow the thread. Once you do one any others are easy.

[Splash/Boot] Screen

Hi Everyone,
I would like to share different splash/boot screens in this thread. You are fed up with your phone provider's boot screen? Go ahead and make this thread live!
Actually I found 1 attached from Jerpelea (thx for this) in format "RUU_signed.nbh":
Please feel free to posts yours! keep it up!
sorry to disappoint you, but this is not the right place to post that topic! The "Windows Mobile Themes" is the right place for general graphics customization.
nice topic though!

I am not sure, but I think it works the same as flashing.
Not going to bother flashing and losing all data/apps for a fancy boot screen. Oh well.

No worry, you don't lose any data by flashing a boot-screen. You only have to rename the nbh-file into diamimg.nbh (if your device is a Diamond) and copy it into the root of the internal storage, then flash it. The device will recognize this as a boot-screen and if you anytime will run a soft-reset you will enjoy the new beginning of start-procedure...

I used "root explorer" method and it worked like a charm.
after magldr? so you mean when it's booting into android? I believe that's in the initrd.gz file.

You can only change that if you will edit initrd.gz in the boot partition.

[Q] Help switching to f2fs format.

Hello guys, I have been going crazy reading links and such trying to figure out how
To convert my 2012 nexus 7 to this new file format and have not been successful at all.
I have searched so please don't use that as your answer. I am trying to find an easy way that
A two year old could follow. I have found were to get the ROMs so that's not a problem. It is just trying to convert.
Is there something someone has put together like a flashable version? Any help would be great!! Thanks in advance.
Also let me have your thoughts . If it really makes a difference switching to this... Thanks..

The most simplest way....and I mean simple, is to install multirom via play store. Once you boot into recovery, you click on one button and you're done. Mulitrom is awesome. If you don't know what it is, it basically dual or in my case triple boots into your system.I have 3 of the top ROMs all running f2fs and ilove it.
Good luck
