Sorta new to this forum .. Anyways I tried debranding my Sony X10 using the method over at xperiax10(dot)net .. Followed everything in order to get .16 update , didn't show up .. So i tried their rebranding method , so the X10i downloaded the Japanese files .. and put my phone from an X10i to an SO-01B .. it says you can just rebrand your software using the backupfiles from the debranding method .. So I go to SEUS AND Pc Companion and try the repair option .. on SEUS there is NO repair option .. and with PCC , I only get as far as update .. because it keeps telling me " Cannot download your files , please check your connection and try again " I tried and tried again for like almost half an hour , no luck .. I'm trying my best to figure this out .. But can't seem to I don't want to be stuck with japanese stuff on my phone .. it doesn't have landscape text either Any help would be appreciated !
i think i might be getting somewhere , but still the same problem .. im trying through pc companion and i look at my task manager ( win 7 ) .. when it says "updating do not disconnect" the SEMSC OMSI MODULE.EXE quits by itself .. so what i tried was to run it through program files .. it got me somewhere for like 5 mins , then failed .. so idk if i have the right idea ..
Ideas anyone ? I'm thinking of getting rid of this phone because of the japanese software that has been loaded ..

long story short, you messed up, probably da vinci is your best bet now.

warranty is fine if you get it back to x10i I doubt they will replace a SO-01B for a x10i

That's the exact tutorial i followed .. if you read it , it says " it'll download the japanese files from the server , once repaired just debrand using the method " .. I tried it , but don't work .. I think i'm going to try da vinci .. Really hope it works .. Thanks for the help guys .

Went to Docomo with my rooted xperia SO-01B - the y could not figure out how to upgrade... I had forgotten to unroot .... they were so flustered and could not figure out the problem...so they just gave me a new one. Have rooted the new one (2.1) and about to debrand .. Any howto`s for debranding upgraded DOCOMO experia SO-01B?
1st of all what model is it (X10i, X10a, SO-1B)?
If it's not a SO-1B device and you flashed it with SO-1B firmware, then obviously SEUS and PCC won't recognize your device.
In general only flash accordingly matching firmware on your device.
If you know what you're doing then you can experiment with what ever firmware you wan't. But sounds like you don't really know what you were doing when flashing your device.

hi i said befor in a post of mine i had a problem in the signal, and till now now solution the signal comes and goes away they say its a softwear problem i updated to 020 but its still the same is there a way i can compleatly remove the softwear from my phone and install a new one, not just hard rest but compleat phone softwear rest since i have no other soltion im going to try to go back to 014 rom than the lates to see if that may help but i guess if i can completely remove my softwear from the phone i may reach a solution since its not a heard wear fault....please i nees all the help i can get to fix my phone thanks a lot

use SEUS. it will tell you ''your phone already has the latest software'' and then it will give you an option too ''repair'' that will re flash the rom from the SE servers

ok i think i have bricked my phone ... it starts up but it stays on the htc screen....sometimes it loads up the rom after a few minutes but then it never passes the screen where it says "setting up the phone for first use".... how can u help????

well your in luck , is not briked if it starts up , what you need to do is run a task 29 , then reflash your phone with a energy rom , that is what i use and is very good , good luck , let me know how it goes .
My phone stays on the htc screen and doesn't do anything else. I performed a Task 29 last night. And it did this to my htc hd 2 phone now it doesn't want to turn on I mean it does but it stays on the Stck Together screen. Should I call T-Mobile and get a new phone ? What should I do ?

well if your phone is in guaranty yes you can tell them that one day it just got stuck , don't mention anything about you trying to flash a rom ore that you played with it!!!! cuz they will not exchange anything.
BUT you can try this : get a Energy ROM from t-mobile hd2 rom development and flash it . if you dont know the proper steps please read posts with instructions how to properly flash it ,
after this if you did everything rite your phone should be ok .
i repeat if you phone dose turn on even if is an error ore it gets stuck , is still working and is not briked . so you can still fix it you self . if it dose not turn on no led no nothing then is briked , contact me if you have other questions

ok i have done the task 29... i was really excited , i had this feeling it was going to work... but after the install i tryed putting a rom in ( an energy rom like u recommended) n it frizzes during the loading bar... i have tryed many time n it stops after a few loads... for example .. sometimes it goes to 24% n stops,... then i tryed again . it stoped at 56% ... n i kept on trying n it stops on various percentages what can be the problem??? plz help cuz i cant even use my phone at all

ok i have just tryed tht n it still freezes at different percentages...n no when i first got it i got it to flkash without anyproblem... n then an update came out for the energy rom so i decided to update after the update it worked for a few days or weeks n then it decided to keep freezing n all so i tryed a new rom n thts when it stops working now... n when i mean stop working i mean it stops the process in nthe middle or so

well i think you have to send it back , if you have guaranty ore if not take it to a service , cuz i dont see why it sould not work after you did everything....
all i can say is just try 1 more time to install the rom from t-mobile , official !
but don't use nothing just install it , be careful , for t-mobile hd2 you need t-mobile rom from www.t-mobile.com!!!

1. Try re-starting the computer.
2. Charge your HD2 fully
3. Format an microSD card and try installing the image from SD Card

Today i get my X10i arabic after installing the attached official rom with arabic language installed so no need for root . and battery performance became very good . i tested it on three x10 mobile (large not mini) also menus and keyboard became arabic with out no third barty programs
try it now using flash tools .............. its amazing
the below the link for the ROM (Latest one) so no need for SEUS after doing that

hi everybody I have tried to root my xperia x8 because i wanted to update the android version to 2.1 , i downloaded the superoneclick 1.5.1 and i did all the steps i've read here but at the end it says "FAILED the device was not rooted" and in my phone it appears the superuser aplication but i can't access to the root explorer because this message appears:"Root explorer has not yet managed to obtain root access.Because of issues with Superuser, this often happens the first time the app is run but is usually fine from then on."
I have no idea of what is happening , i did all the steps:i put my phone in debug mode , then connect the phone and click "root" and it is still not rooted :S
If someone can help i would be very happy , i'm about to become crazy :S

If you have android v1.5 Donut and you want to upgrade too android 2.1 just install PC Companion (Sony Ericson software that you get with the phone in the box) and let the aplication search for any update of firmware for X8.
actually i have 1.6 version i've tried to update it with pc companion but it says that it has the latest version....

You don't need to root your android to do the upgrade.. xD just upgrade with sony ericsson update service, and after that you can root your phone normally using 2.1 firmware..
Although, you need to substituite a file in superoneclick: "thecage.." to "neuter" but rename to the original.. (sorry if i can't explain well, but i'm portuguese and i'm 16.. xD) search on the forum or wait so i can post the zip file already working, because i don't have it on my phone..

You can flash with E15i firmware and then flash X8a baseband that you can find in thread in my signature bellow
...maybe there is a way to update with pc companion like he is in Europe...
And I read about updating from other country on development section.
Easy way it's changing the SI number so it solves it like a workaround, still i'm not sure if it provides his language (i think it does) after that he can even install froyo or ginger eh
There are lot's of tutorials with infos to do it right in dev section, check them out.

you should get android 2.1.... and to your root issues you should set usb on debugging mode and you mustn´t mount sd card just set charge phone instead.
so no matter if mi xperia is e15a and the firmware i would use in the flash tool is e15i

I am unable to install xrecovery to install another rom bcoz screen touch isn't working. So I can't install any custom ROM. What is the solution for me now?? :crying:

ye afaik the 2.3 Aro is an X10i Rom..
try the method posted above.

I tried with X10a_3.0.1.G.0.75_AMERICA-US GENERIC 1233-8200.ftf this firmware too.. And I need to drag the status bar downwards to connect to PcCompanion. That I can't do because my screen isn't working
To repair your phone you just need to have the physical buttons working
Go to SEPCC / Sony Support Zone -> Software update -> repair phone (might be some other translations or words, as i am translating from the german version)
Go through the steps, and you will be asked to connect your phone in flashmode, which you can access by pressing and holding the back button while you turn on your phone.
After you do that, you have to wait for downloads etc to finish, and SEUS will flash back to stock.
edit: You will loose your personal data, which is stored on the phone.. Your SD Card will be untouched though

Please post download links for your TekkDroid ICS v1 rom, TDKernel v1 please. I am on unlocked bootloader with ICS V1 4.0.4 FERALAB rom, FeraKernel Xperia X10i. want to try your rom.
While I tried to update with PC Companion error came like this, "There is no software available for your phone. Please try again later". What might be the solution for this?

How can I get back to stock rom, from where can I download it, I m searching this since 3 days. Its my 4th day without phone.
Use the method i described on page 1..
with using SEUS (PC Companion) you as a person won't have to flash anything, it will be downloaded and flashed automatically by Sony.

I already told that, sony said software not found for your x10 while I tried to flash from pc companion. Anyway thank u for you reply. What sud I have to do now?

try flash another kernel using FT..then u can flash another rom.
