XDAII doesn't boot :(

Hi all,
My XDAII was working without any problem this afternoon and the battery was getting low and the screen stopped it self.
I thought that was normal because of the battery.
I came to home and put on the charger, but still nothing on the screen !
I made a reset and still nothing. I removed the battery and put it again but still nothing
What should i do to get my XDA II working again
Please help meeeee

exactly the same with my problems but my situation is : while i installing some game on it, it freeze and i try to restart it but nothing on my screen. Plzzz anybody help me out,when i put my charger, the ligh doesnt work and when i take off the battery ( charger still plug) the led is red.??????

if you have important thingies in your unit it surely is not there anymore by now.. best thing to do is to send it back to the manufacturer.. it might need reflashing of the ROM or something like that..

broken htc touch

Make sure it is fully charged. If you are certain that it is = return it for a new one that works. Why put yourself through the trouble if you just bought the thing. Get a new one.

i didn't bought it on a shop, that's why i can't return it.

Still make sure that it is fully charged. Does it turn on when it is plugged in. If it does when plugged in but not when on battery power, that would suggest that you need a new battery. Basically what I am saying is it sounds like power problem, but I could be wrong. Someone may have tried to flash a new ROM to it unsuccessfully in which case, I don't know enough about to be able to help but there are many others here who could. It does not sound to me like it is likely bricked. Try the power thing. Unless you know it is a ROM issue for sure, then read the FAQ's and stickies and WIKI abour ROM's and flashing ROM's etc... after reading, then proceed to ask for help about what you still don't understand. Very important that you read and pay attention to warnings before doing anything ROM related or you could Brick the device for sure. Good luck

charge it first, looks like the battery is drained. if it didnt turn on after charging it then i guess it must be the rom.

Legend dead after rooting

I have tried rooting about 5times with excellent results, this time it did go well for a beginning. I flashed the rom and the phone said success and wanted me to reboot. Then a image with a phone laying on the stomache with light on a greeen symbol with (!) in a triangle came up. Now my phone is dead =( plugged in to the computer dosn´t even work. Not even the powercable. Whats should i do? is it broke? Help! plz!

yup..i thought of rooting my phone, but now

Have you tried pressing the Volume Up + Power button to get the recovery menu? I would try that first.

like i said before.. the phone is completely dead. I have tried it all, nothing can power it up. It doesn´t even feel the powercable.. the orange LED isnt on. I think its very strange that no one else have had this problem.

is it a h/w issue?
or have you resolved the problem already?

When the picture of the phone laying down with the triangle was up you didn't pull the battery did you?

I have got the same problem after updating to another rom. But the rom was defect or it didn't show progress in 5 min time. So I (stupidly) deciced to pull the battery from the phone.. and now I can't turn it on/charge..
please tell me if this is a fixable problem?

Yes, unfortunately i did :S i tried all buttons and it didnt help so i pulled the battery, what went wrong and what would the proper solution be? it said sucess when i flashed it and then the screen jumped up and it was already to late :S
I havent fixed the problem but it´s taking care of. I have it on service so in 1-2weeks i will get an answer.

Hi guys! Thought you might want an update with my problem.. i picked it up from the serviceplace today and thanks god it was an warranty thing. They said the mainboard was broken and replaced. Thats like the motherboard on a computer, correct? Can a f*cked up rooting/flashing be the reason?

Hey dude, i am guessing they replaced the mainboard because the chip that stores the rom has been courupted, they wouldnt have been able to diagnose it or replace the chip so must have been easier to replace the whole board haha. Your lucky they couldnt tell you had gained root on it!

My Acer NeoTouch s200 is dead

Hi im from Germany,
i tried to flash my Acer S200 but it stopped by 50% and i have pluged the cable out. I cant turn it on, it gives no signal, i cant bring it to the download mode. Nothing is working no hardreset with buttons.Nothing is working and when i plug it to usb the LED isnt blinking

my phone is new, it has garanty, should i contact the acer support or can anyone help me ?

Hold volume up/vol down button + reset until you see "clean boot"

i tried it the phone gives no signal .. no clean boot is coming .. the rom flashing was at 50% i think it is breaked

did you try removing then replacing the battery. then try bootloader mode again?

yes i tried but nothing is working i cant enter the bootloader nothing is working it is just off no vibration nothin is working

sorry, but I have to ask, are pressing then holding vol down +power +camera buttons
at the same time until blinking red light starts?
you have to get into bootloader mode then flash a custom rom
brainmaster has a few including a "clean" rom.
I had this happen awhile ago and tried so many things for 2 days that now I don't
remember what actually worked! But I don't think that your S200 is bricked.

Also, make sure that you keep the power cable pluuged in (not usb)
you need a good charge even if you don't see the green light.
just keep trying and if I can remember I let you know.
or someone here will help you to find a solution!

i already know how to flash a rom but the phone doesnt give any sign

Hi. I kind of found myself in the same situation. My acer s200 is unresponsive, no blinking lights no matter key/reset combinations. Had been in the middle of flashing on a new ROM when it got accidentally disconnected.
Any possible solution? Already checked the battery out in a different phone and it's fine and charged.

i don't want to looks like a vultur, but if some of you can't find a solution to resolve the problem you have, I'm interested by the device because I need some piece. Of course I hope you can resolve your problem but if there are no led blinking, the last possibility is to send it to acer, and if you don't want to wait/pay/or whatever to with the acer support, I'm interested by your device.

Hey GarcoG. Yes, still in need of help. My S200 is currently a desktop paperweight at home. It's a beautiful paperweight but it was made for so much more. Would really like to get it up and running again.
A new thing I noticed. I'm able to charge my phone's battery to full on my friend's s200. Of course when I put it back into my phone, it's still completely unresposive. However, I noticed that whenever I put it back into my friend's phone, the charge on it has reduced. I'm pretty sure it's not a battery issue I have since my phone is still unresponsive with my friend's battery in it and the same happens with that battery as well.
Would really appreciate any ideas on fixing this.

Really funny about that matte screen protector. Cannot wait for the results. In my case, phone got accidentally connected just as it had reached the stage of flashing on the new ROM. Was thinking it was probably unresponsive because the ROM instructions that enable it respond to key combinations are absent hence cant get it into Bootloader mode.

there is no possibility to repair the phone... you have to send it to acer !!

Bricked/Damaged Phone ??

Hi, i bought an HTC Dream/Google G1/T-Mobile G1. I bought as faulty and asked the guy what did it had. He said he needed to flash and update software. So i bought it thinking that if that's the problem i'd solve it and end up with an Android phone. I paid €50 for it. Thing is i can't do anything to the phone. I plugged the battery, pushed power and it gives the normal vibrate and then nothing, the screen doesn't even light up. I have to take the battery out to power off the phone then. If i plug the USB, it lights the red LED, but no recognition of the phone by the PC, turn it on again...the same.
I've searched the forum, top to bottom, and i've tried almost everything to try and make something out of my beautyfull brick. Keys combination, *.img to SD, haven´t tried throwing it to the wall, but i'm almost there.
If i could even get to bootloader... I have a Diamond and flashed it numerous times and never had a glitch.
Can you guys help out ? Please, i've searched the forum, read almost every post about bricked phones, etc...

Sounds like they may have flashed the wrong firmware file or its physically damaged and they lied to you.
I am pretty sure it needs re-flashed with a jtag interface if it's only a software issue. Because if the recovery image is intact it will still say "t-mobile G1" and be stuck in a boot loop.
Have you tried to start the phone to fastboot mode(hold down the back button and press power), or recovery(hold home and press power) ?
If you can't get into either of those you either need to find someone with a jtag adapter or get your money back because it's dead.

I tried all of that... . How on earth will i find someone with a jtag adapter, at least in a nearby area... guess i have nice brick then. I read somewhere here on xda of a shop in India that recovers the phone but its way to far for me to send the phone, pay the fix and they send it back!!! Well i guess thats it, i got screwed...
