hey guys. im having problems with microsoft my phone, my phone just wont sync. everytime after trying i get "synchronization failed" and the details tell me i've entered the incorrect live id or password but im not even given an option to enter these. any ideas what i need to do. cheers......

hi Guys
Im really new to all this (my last phone basically did calls and texts..!) and i am have difficulties synching windows live on my HD2 and linking/synching my hotmail account.
Basically i go throught he usernames and passwords but right at the end it says synchronisation failed.. Im finding this really frustrating and would really appreciate some help from anyone who has managed to link their hotmail and got windows live working!
Is there something i may have inadvertentlyswitched off which is blocking it? Im on T Mobile and unblocked all sites this morning.

Sounds like you need to go into your advanced connection settings and disable T-Mo's proxy server. That blocks a lot of stuff for no good reason.

Ive fixed it..!
Basically, i ran out of options until the last thing left to do was a hard reset.. And it worked.
Seems most things are fixed on the HD2 by a hard reset.

Sorry if im being slow but I cant seem to get MSN working on my HD2
When I click windows live it says Search, and below it it says "connect to windows live"
No matter how I click it nothing happens at all, I also tried to set my hotmail addy as a mail account but after typing my username and password in it returns to the screen that says something like no active account.
Now I dont really care about the email but I would like to be able to sign into windows live.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I can not link my contact to face book.
I've already many way to fix it.
With hard reset, Update New ROM, Put new facebook user....
I would be appreciate for anyone who know this problem.

Make sure you do not have any special characters in your password (e.g. $,%,!). The facebook app on the HD2 only supports alphanumeric passwords. Good luck I hope this resolves your problem!

All of the sudden they are still in the 'sense' gui.. but not in my email app..
- How do I get them out of the sense gui ??
- I fi (re)create my account it does not work anymore..

I've been having the exact same problem. It started soon after (but not immediately) after I did my first hard reset. It was very soon after I gave TProfiler a try (which is now uninstalled). Don't know if the issue is related to either of those things, though.
How did you solve the Sense part of the issue?

Use the attached Program. Copy the exe to your device, start it, select the account to repair, type in the necessary data and click on repair. Your account will be fully visible/restored in sense and WM again so you can use or delete it. Works like a charm had to use it several times till now. The problem often occurs after using a full backup or similar.

I got the gmail account fixed right up. Thanks. Having trouble finding the right entries for Yahoo, though. The program asks for POP info, but I'm assuming I can enter IMAP info if that's how I set the program up, right?

Usually u just need to fill in the first informations (username, password). Most of the other settings should still be stored in the account so that you dont need to fill them in again.

What I did was
goto email tab in sense..
Account management.. delete the accounts there
add them again.. everything ok ..
(until now)...
I just found a simple way to bypass the exchange policy.
I did NOT make this. I just discovered the fix by searching the web.
All credits go to the developer!
I now am running the FRG33 build with exchange synchronization, BUT with pattern lock! This also enables POP3 push.
It works flawlessly !

Im sorry, but you have to set it up again. This replaces the stock mail.apk with a patched one. Therefore its like getting a new mail application, but once its set up again, you will be happy ;-)
