New Panel from SE: Evernote.
Eh.. Links and description would be good?
Anyway, since you won't, I will.
Remember everything! Evernote turns your mobile phone into an extension of your brain:
Take notes, snap photos, draw sketches, and record audio. Evernote keeps it all in sync and always available.

not really my cup of tea but it's better than no new panels at all ...
thanks for the link ...
Sounds like a limited version of footprints, without the fun bit, the maps!
Hmm, that actually sounds usefull. Well, at least, if it weren't for the ultra slow panels.
I'll check this out in a sec.
[Edit] Heh. I like it. Although the INK NOTE is the only one i can imagine myself using, its pretty neat. Thumbs up for S.E. this time!

So basically Evernote stores things on server?

panel-free version :
http://www.evernote.com/about/download/#a-mobile
I use Generic_SE rom with the official R2A update. I tried 3 times to install Evernote panel but it stopped at 50% every time, then you don't hve a choice to cancel it. You must softreset youre device.
It doesn't work for me!

It's not, Evernote is first and foremost a noting program. There is also a PC client. It's like OneNote Mobile with ink support.
Can you tell me where these notes are stored?
I mean I never ever used this software before, is it storing it in the internet/server?
I checked it out and it's pretty sweet. (the panel-free version, of course) This seems like a great option if you want to work on a document both on a PC and on the X1 without all the hassle of syncing/attaching/etc. One unfortunate thing is that is seems like once you close an "ink" note, you can't re-edit. (But I have Screenwriter, an awesome handwritten note program)
it actually updates the panel image too! is this a first?

The Sony Ericsson panels are updating the images as well. If you change the layout or background the images on the panel manager change as well.
ive been using the panel free version of evernote for a while now.. it is pretty cool... very handy...
gonna check out the panel now.. sort of like dashwire.. i dont like the panel, but i like dashwire... i have a feeling i will have the same thoughts about evernote...

yeah but if you take a picture with the camera and send it to evernote, then go back to the panels screen while it's in view you can see a small version ( thumbnail ) of your picture on the evernote panel.
Hello to every one.
I am quite a new user of Evernote. I created and account and then I installed this panel. While i was connected through USB I did not have any problem to connect with the Evernote server.
Today I tried to connect through HSDPA to add a new note but there is an error while I am trying to login
Error occured while interacting with Evernote Service: The server name or address could not be resolved Error: 0x00100006

First, I thought it was a connection problem, but all panels are connecting normally (facebook, youtube, spb). Also, I can browse internet through IE or opera. I googled it but no results.
Does anyone have the same problem?

Is your phone connected with the USB cable to your computer? I had the same problem, but once I removed the USB cable it connected instantly.
I've had the same problem. Dunno if you guys are still looking for a solution, but if you are; you can find it here.

loving evernote for android. newest update is fantastic
I have been playing with the store demo for the T-mobile HD2 for the last couple of days. Mostly I'm very impressed with the phone, but the one thing that is driving me crazy is that Google reader is completely useless from the browser. I have tried opera 9.7, opera 10, and opera mini and all of them mangled the formatting to to point that it is unusable. The mobile site is not any better. Any solutions?
Thanks
I use the RSS reader included in the HD2 and export my google reader subscriptions to it.
Google should really bring out an app for that. Otherwise just sort out their website.
there is an google reader app on opnmarket but i think the link is down at the moment
try this

I've tried it but performance is poor
I'm not tied to google reader
I should mention that I'm not tied to using Google reader, I like using Google reader because I can access it from my phone and my computer and and keep it in sync between the two. I would be open to trying other rss readers with the same ability if anyone has alternative suggestions.

if you use iphone link of Google Reader with Iris Browser will be a perfect couple.
excelent tip, really liked!
Thanks!
Thats freaking perfect Thank you.
This above mentioned Speeedreader works perfect for me, I use it for months now, and I'm really content with it.
A new version is coming soon I've read.
Perfect tip indeed!
I was just going to buy SmartRSSTouch just for this. Now it seens I don't need it anymore.
Thanks!
There doesnt seem to be a way to add a star on the iphone reader page.
I've been using smartrsstouch for months, best greader i've tried. Only issue, it keeps asking for userid and password when used over 3G.
Awesome tip, thank you! The standard reader was impossible to use...
Any tips on how to contact the speedreader developer in an attempt to report (and hopefully get a fix for) a bug with right to left feeds display ? This is, more or less, the only thing that voids me from using it. Note that SmartRSSTouch got an identical issue as well.
Bug description: RTL list entries are displayed with the html code, that is supposed to switch the list entry to RTL, shown as text instead of being applied to the list entry. Reproducible with any RTL feed (anything Hebrew or Arabic should do), for example, this feed - http://www.ynet.co.il/Integration/StoryRss2.xml
Does a modern html5 site like this http://sammystodos.brandonaaron.net
works on Nexus One or Desire?
It seems that the browser doesn't support standards as much as safari on iPhone..
Chrome is by far the best browser on the market, followed by Opera.
Eventually they will merge everything that desktop's Chrome can do into Android..
But so far - yes, that website works fine, except for editing the fields that you added. I assume that can easily be fixed by tweaking the site itself.
I can confirm that its working on the nexus one with to stock browser.

Can you actually type?
I tried it on the Desire browser and it looks exactly like yours, but I cannot type. Holding the Menu button to bring up the keyboard doesn't work either.
Checking the checkboxes and using the trash can icon to delete items do work.

The Android browser isn't Chrome. They're both WebKit based though.

Why rewrite the whole thing of they're both based on WebKit and Chrome obviously has awesome code.

How is it better?
It's Fennec, which can do everything Firefox can do, including making use of the desktop addons, and it supports Flash 9.4
This will be an ongoing problem with HTML5.
"how does it look on this browser ??"
This is what people dont get about Flash. You have complete control over how everything looks. You dont have that control in HTML , everything is still browser dependent.
Not saying this cant be ironed out..but the impression that a <video> tag is going to solve HTMLs shortcomings is silly. As it stands the browsers are already divided over codec support.
Hi guys, i wanna take advantage of this thread to now more real-life web browsing issues.
How well works this sites on the N1 or HTC Desire browser? (without adding any ad-hoc apps)
- www.facebook.com (does the chat work?)
- www.youtube.com/html5 (how well run the html5 video)
Can u compare them to a normal web browser or iphone?
Must admit, the Facebook app for the HTC HD2 is pants. Before I had the HTC, I was on Blackberry Storm, and loved the Facebook app, as it used to download my alerts in real time.
But with the HTC HD2 I have to log in each time on the app, and have to refresh the facebook app. Complete rubbish I think.
Anyone know is the Facebook app on the HTC HD2 is going to get any better?
You have an Opera browser and a big screen -make use of it!
Where's the point in using a stupid app for things that are way easier directly in the browser?
I find the app quicker, and more convenient! Well it was on the Blackberry Storm anyway...
hey dude, i know how you feel... i was a bit dissapointed with the facebook app at first but then i waited for a while, i tryed looking for a alternative third party app but nothing was any good, then i found a CAB on here for the new facebook for resistive screen phones, someone had made it work with HD2 and it works great, much better than the old one
i did a review of it on my youtube channel, you should check it out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7dDxLrP2GI
Actually the constant need to log in is a bug. Everytime I flash a ROM, one of the first thing I do is to run the Facebook app, and tick the save login option. After that it never asks for login again....but you'll still have to refresh manually. I'm guessing it's more of a conflict with another installed apps or just general winmo weirdness.
Otherwise, yeah, the apps is pretty pathetic.
FB
Does anyone else have the problem that it saves the pics from Facebook into an album on the device memory, and then when you go into your albums you have tons and tons of albums because each pic is saved as an album?

First; there are other people who also have the problem with FB not "saving" the login info.
Do a quick search and see if they've found a solution.
Second; http://touch.facebook.com might be more to your liking..
m.facebook.com is fine for Nokias, but the touch.facebook.com page is made for "iPhone-like" devices like our HD2.

That's why...it works only if you do it before installing too many other apps....so if u ever reflash a ROM, make sure logging into facebook and saving details is one of the first things u do.

Can you tell me where to find this fix, i found the one that requires using the registry editor but there are at least 60 folders with anywhere from 1 to 4 photos in each.
they are only little thumbnails as well
they way i read the registry tweak, it says to input each individual folder in...
The HTC Facebook ALbum hotfix (just installed) does not stop it downloading tiny pics from FB of all your contacts.
As from the HTC site:
restores the ability to view your friends’ photo albums
This suggests its related to privacy settings, and the app's ability to now process that correctly.
(i.e. able to view them online, but app wouldn't allow you to)
Can you point me in the direction of the registry fix for it?
Hi, my available device memory is down to 18mb, and I haven't really stored much there. Could it be due to the Facebook app, which keeps storing the pics in Device Memory? In that case, how do I free up this space?
In HD2 General go to Hints page and do what is sudgested in No:64 than install an App called ClearTemp in the Menu click sellect all and and clean once a day at least.it will take just a few seconds.
Edit::looks on the hint page is not cleare enough".
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCAlbum\Ignored
Add a new string: Name – Facebook Cache,
Value – \temp\imagecache
That should be \fbimagecache
and it worked.
Thanks for that.

At least until the Note 5 there was no way of doing it, I don't know if it was added on the latest Samsung browser version but I sincerely doubt it.
The only way I managed something similar was exporting my Chrome Bookmarks to a file then add that file to a folder on the phone and then you must open your File manager (My Files) look for the file and click it, it will open in the browser, once there you save it as a Bookmark. Again, just a workaround, not the solution.
