cant delete/reinstal opera mobile

ok so i installed opera mobile on my device, and i tried to uninstal it so i could reinstal it on my new sd card. the program is in my add/remove list when i sync up however it will not remove. the files are non existant on the phone, im assuming that perhaps its registry entries that need to be updated buti have no clue what needs to be changed. does anyone have any idea on how i can reinstall this program?
any help is appreciated, thank you
I am guessing that you mean that you can not get rid of it off a-sync? Please can you say what you have tried then we know how to help. cus you should be able to just delete it off a-sync by putting a tick next to the item and pressing remove or delete (whatever it is!!)
so far ive tried to removie it through the phones add/remove software but it doesnt show in that list, it says there is nothing in storage (which is correct because there is nothing on my phone with opera any longer). i removed opera from my pc through the add/remove programs, and lastly i have tried to remove it from sync, but what happens is i check off opera and click remove and then im prompted "are you sure" and when i click yes the window closes and as far as i can tell nothing happens. when i open up add/remove from the sync again opera is still there. when i try to reinstall it over it, i get a prompt saying there is allready a version installed do you want to reinstall/upgrade, i click yes, but get an error on my phone saying the cab was installed unsucessfully.... -=/

Where is the Vogue stock alarm exe?

Hey all,
I'm using Lakeridge's WAD and WA3 and I can't seem to find the exe for the stock alarm on my Touch/Vogue.
Any idea where it is so I can link on my phone's desktop?
Thanks.
MT
It's called "clock.exe", located under the Windows directory. Typically, all your basic apps, or anything preinstalled, will be found here.
Thanks, Champ.

No prob ! If you spend about 20 min to search through the windows directory and look at all the image and .exe files there, you'll get a better idea of where most things are.
On the subject of stock exe's. Does anyone know what the exe is to bring up the main windows mobile settings?... the settings that launch through the start menu.
Before the 6.1 update I linked to htcsettings.exe. I've searched all over this phone and I can't find it now.

Can't display DarkLoad battery meter on HD

I have downloaded the .cab, installed it through the HD and onto the device (rather than card), but it doesn't show up anywhere I can think of; using Total CE or programs or in the settings windows.
Any ideas how I configure it?
If I try to install the cab again, it says the old version needs to be uninstalled, which I tick yes, but still nothing.
Thanks
Doesn;t work for me, but in my HD I can uninstall it through the delete programs menu in Settings. But i still don't know why it won't work.
Sorry, my bad explanation. I can uninstall it okay, just that when I try to install it to make sure things were okay, it says that the program is currently installed so it must be in there.
I am not going mad then!
Regards
I installed the .cab file for Massimo's coloured top bar and then Darklords bat meter & it works fine for me.
Have you changed anything else on the topbar?

I had to rename the "shellres.192.dll" part of the taskbar files to "shellres.192.dll.0409.mui" to get this to work on my HD. If this doesn't make sense, read through the thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437307. Not sure if this is the only solution, but certainly worked for me.
I have cab I made with the renamed file in there, but can't upload it from work. If you can't get it working before then, I will upload when I get home tonight (EST).
Oh, and be sure to have sdkcerts installed. Same thread, at bottom of first post.
Cab upload problem...
I can't get the Cab to upload. Not sure why, as it's only 3MB. Anyway, if you want, I can send it to you if you PM me an email address.

Try
\Program Files\[<Your program's Developer>\]<Your Program Name>
(Start-> File Explorer -> Up (lower left corner)->Up->Up->Up->. . . .->Up->Program Files . . .)
Also if you still cant find it, hook it up to your pc, and then use the windows (if you have windows) built in search, and then search for the file name and then you'll know where it is in the future

Some of the shortcuts in the start menu are actually folders (Multimedia, for example.)
Have you looked in them for the apps you installed? Also, some apps don't have shortcuts in the programs folder. TouchResponse, for example, just runs all the time. There's a shortcut in settings, but nothing in the start menu root.
You probably just need to hunt round. If you could tell us for sure what you're missing then someone on here will definitely have installed it previously and be able to help you.
ok, sorry...

Batch installation and update of settings

Hi,
I'm looking for a bit of help with this if possible, basically at work, i have to constantly setup a load of HTC P6500 devices all running on windows mobile 6.1.
On each device I have to install certain programs from an sd card and update quite a few system settings.
Is there any way this can be done with a batch file perhaps, that would install all the software and update all the settings I need it to?
"XDA UC" could be what you are looking for, but it needs to be cooked in into WM.
I think there already is such a machanism in WM, but I don't really remember it's name...
.cab
make a .cab which has all the programs and settings.
maybe RunCC is in your ROM...
thanks for the help everyone, managed to get around this using SPB backup trial which let me essentially clone the device, and restore this back to the rest.
