Hello you all!!!
touch2 does not have autofocus like iphone, but iphone can read 1D barcodes and touch2 can not read them.
i guess it's a matter of software algorithm to sharpen the image maybe.
what's a working app to read 1D and 2D barcodes to you all???
Thanx
Jurij

Hello guys, I saw about the windows live barcode article on bink today and managed to get the quickmark QR decoder working on my wizard, but also want to get a QR decoder for my universal too as it seems pretty cool! Does anyone know of one for the universal, as there doesnt seem to be a version of the quickmark decoder for the universal?
Any news? I would try this funny thing on my Qtek 9000
The CAB file for the O2 Xda Atom Exec on the quickmark website also works on the qtek 9000.
Thank you very much!!! It works.. Well: i have to turn the camera.. seems as i look in a mirror.. i can't translate in english what i would say..
ATTENTION: DON'T USE IT!!! MY QTEK 9000 now shows a black screen!!!
I was using that program.. But it turned off (maybe the auto-poweroff) if i turn on it resets himself.. i don't know what i'll do.. I have installed on SD but even if i don't put it in the PDA the screen turn off after the boot..
Ok: Now it works.. I closed the screen during the boot..
Well: be carefull.. If you use pay attention to the auto-poweroff.
Sorry for my english..
Interesting stuff.
I've installed it in my Wizard, and it seems to have a mirror effect. I'm not sure why they designed that. Mirror effect, that is like.. everything is upside-down, leftside-right. Hence, if you see your stuff on the left edge of the camera, you want to move it to the right to make it center, however, since it is left-side right, your stuff will move off the camera (if you move away). If you have a webcam, you will know this mirror effect.
For others, get the software here

Thank You Very Much!!!
Quickmark have a specific QR code reader for the HTC Ultimate look under "O2" for mobile brand and "XDA Exec" for mobile model, basic version is free, enhanced version is a pay for job
you'll need to register first, then download the cab file copy it to your phone and open it with file explorer to install it, then start the QuickMark app,
point the camera at a QR code and centre it in the display, when it's recognised you get an audible notification and the information is displayed
it may try to connect to the internet if it sees a valid url, but I've disabled data services on my phone by setting up a dummy service so I don't know if it does or not, I use wifi if I want to browse on my phone
the free version works fine on my WM5 phone, screen displays the correct way round, the picture is a little small but I just successfully read a QR code from my laptop screen with it
OCR Business card software for ELF??
Hi all!
I've just tried the WorldCard Mobile on my brand new ( ) touch and it don't run so is there any other that work ?
I need this feature for scanning easily some business cards
Thanx
Nobody ??
Dude there's a bunch of ELF and i'm sure some want to use OCR :!
Hi wazzaman
I also have an OCR by worldcardmobile.. and it runs as well.. problem is...
1) its designed for a ph with a better camera (what with the elf having a glorified 1 mega pixel, than a 2 mp)
2) As soon as it somehow with adequate lighting and a bigger font visiting card recognizes content, it refuses to export it into contacts (if you have bought it, then its a different thing)
works splendidly on the diamond..
P.s.
did u buy it from here.

Hello all!
I was wondering if anyone knew if the app called Bar Scan ( or something like that) for android has been released for Windows Mobile? The app allows one to scan bar codes(I believe via the camera) and search for better prices online using the SKU number.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
hi!
there is a free program called i-nigma that uses the camera, but it's a scanner for QR Code and Data Matrix
look at this http://www.i-nigma.com/personal/Default.asp
bye
Quickmark http://www.quickmark.com.tw/En/basic/index.asp is a very fast 2d code scanner. But it looks like there isn't any 1d barcode scanner available for wm devices.
Hello again!
Thank you for your suggestions, they both look very promising and I will have to look into both of them!!
Thanks again, Best Regards.
i dont think any of those are what he is looking for...
I had ported ZXing barcode library (google it) from java to C# .net a couple months ago (when I was prototyping a barcode app) but I haven't really tried it yet. An easier way for .NET developers might be to try using the ZXing just as it is via J#.
This would be awesome, but unfortunately, it won't let me complete a purchase. My IMEI has 2 alpha characters in it, and they want 15 numbers, even though it's made for the Touch Diamond. Bummer.
Do a search in the forum for barcorama, it works on my fuze.
Thanks for the tip! It works, although not nearly as well at capturing as QuickMark, but it will do for now.
Here's barcorama
thank you darkness!

I tried both, i-nigma freezes my diamond to, quickmark works on 2D-Codes. But is there a program to read the bar codes on all the things from the supermarket? I think, that's only the number under the bar code.
CU, dc7os
what its good for ?
Yah what's the point of reading a barcode?

I use quickmark with QR-Codes. I make my own V-Card and every quickmark user and/or N95 (Barcode) user can scan my QR Code and save it @ a new contact with all important informations about me and my company
In Asia is it a normal way 2 swap contact data and hear in germany find u an QR-Code on all mail near the stamp.
Try Barcorama...

Can anyone recommend and poste an good 1d, 2d barcode reader software for de HTC touch pro 2 ? Please include an activation methode.
Thx for your advise
you can download free 2D barcode readers from I-nigma and Microsoft but I-nigma seems to be a little more responsive than the Microsoft one. You can even create your own 2D barcodes on Inigma's website.
http://www.i-nigma.com/Downloadi-nigmaReader.html
Microsoft Tag
You can create barcodes but you have to create an account.

also if you read the sticky it shows softwares worth installing for your tp2 it includes the programs mentioned by strikeIII
