Strange Sound Problem in Gnuboy - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi,
I have a Hermes with Pays 3.05 WM 6.1 ROM. Everything is running fast and stable. The Emulation in PocketGnuboy runs also nice and fast, but when I activate sound nothing is OK anymore: Sound is very choppy and games run very slow. The strange thing is if I run TCPMP in background and play the last 10 sec. of a song and change during this time into Gnuboy everything is fine and the sound is working great until I hit pause
I remember that on an other ROM everything was fine... Does somebody maybe have a solution for this? I don't want to flash once again

Choppy Sound under 2003

It seems everytime i upgrade to win2003, be it cooked or original T-Mobile, some games start to have choppy audio.
when i switched back to win2002 they play fine.
as if the sound buffer isnt big enough, OR some program is consuming
too much cpu time.
any help please?

ROM 2.20 Crackling sound on GPS

Since upgrading to ROM 2.20 the lady gving directions on my GPS Navigon4 system speaks with a crackling sound. WM10 functions normal. POI-warner works normal. I've deleted and reloaded the GPS program but the crackling sound remains. Anyone has the same experience? And better anyone knows how to solve this problem (my wife gets crazy).
Hi!
I have the same prob. Since I upgraded to 2.2 the sound in the mediaplayer 10 is very crackling :-(
What can I do??
Thx, Steffen
This is interesting. When I play WM10 alone the sound is OK. When I play it in combination with Navigon GPS it starts stuttering too. When I close the GPS it's OK again. I tried to overclock without result, but in the light of the stuttering when using a large programm this could be an issue. ANyone a suggestion?

Sound stutters

Hi!
Just noticed a problem.
On certain Pocket PC games (Myst and Galaga) as well as a music composer programme (AudioBox), the sound from the JasJar stutters so badly that it renders the apps unusable.
Is there a workaround to this? Some setting I have missed?
I have disabled the incoming beams, but still get breakups once or twice each second.
mp3 and videoplayback seams ok though.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Frode
Possible solution
Been looking into this for a while now. The only thing Ive found is if you start playback and as soon as possible go into the 'edit' menu (I think thats what its called, its the menu that appears when you click on the spanner icon), it will freeze the display, which seems to be the problem, and the playback will be fine.
This works for me. Ive tried 22khz, mono, low quality and bypassing the FX, but none of that makes much, if any, difference.
This method (for me on my Jasjar) plays back pretty much perfect, although its a pain to have to do every time.I still have issues with the program crashing out when playing with filter controls in realtime, so its not great on this device.
As an aside, I havent figured out any solution to get the sister program Meteor to stay in time. The metronome is all over the place timewise! Also I purchased a fast (x133) SD card, as recommended, but recording/playback speed is still poor/pathetic!
For both programs Ive got a feeling its got something to do with Xscale and the display.
Hope this helps.

Wizard + A2DP + QVGA Video = Slow

Hi ho
Yesterday I upgraded to the Mr. Clean latest ROM. (Nice ROM, fast boot time)
To celebrate my new A2DP goodness I bought a Blueant X5 headset which is offered by a company out of Melbourne, Australia where I live: http://www.blueant.com.au/x5_stereo_bluetooth_headset_headphones_a2dp.htm
I got it all paired and working fine, however when I try to play video in TCPMP which I encoded in PocketDivxEncoder, it's drops frames everywhere and the audio is out of sync. Benchmark shows like 17fps.
If I overclock using OmapClock to 216mhz (the highest I can go and stay stable) then it does improve the video somewhat.
I've also noticed it lags if you multitask while playing an mp3. I haven't tried any games yet but it would really suck if they slowdown too. I can live with the lag when playing audio, but not being able to watch video sort of defeats the purpose of getting headsets for me.
Does anyone know is this just a limitation of the KJAM's speed and that's it, or is there any way I can get the video to work properly, maybe there is a TCPMP expert who can give me some settings to make it run faster, because besides from the slowness I really love these headsets and would hate to have to return them.
Thanks
In my Case, I didn't get any lag by watching Video or hearing music files, I didn't OCed my device, I use the same program (TCPMP) to watch the video, and the same encoder program as you. I don't do anything special when I encode my videos, just the button and done.
It looks like you may have some applications running in your devic which cause this lags and make it runs slow. I am sorry if I wasn't that much help, but I thought maybe my post will give you a light.
BTW my device is Qtek 9100 , and I use the last Qtek Rom.
be careful what videos you try and play...attach the video so we can test the same thing. Make sure it's a low bitrate and QVGA resolution of course.

Trinity Sound Bug with TCPMP

Just installed TCPMP v71 and tried v72RC2 when playing music or videos I would hit play on the touch screen then it will play, after 3-5 seconds the sound gets distorted and goes away. If i use the action key to pause and then play it agian everything is fine. If I just load a music or video file and hit the action key it would play fine but if i tap the screen to play it, it screws up. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Edit: Whoops, I just re-read the thread, and I tried pausing using the D-Pad, and it works! Hooray...
I have exactly the same bug.. after two seconds , the sound goes away and I hear ticking-like sound
tcpmp81RC1 doesn't resolve anything, and besides.. it freezes almost instant

all devices have some limitations/problems. It's a matter of how you resolve it. I came from two O2 devices, and believe me, they have their issues as well. Now, it's my first dopod, hope I can stick to this one.
Sudden No sound on Core Player
Hi all,
I would like to enquire if anyone can help me with fixing this bug. I have been using coreplayer on my HTC Trinity since i got the phone however just last weekend... i am not sure what happen but all of a sudden the sound did not work. The image worked fine... i tried to see if it was my speaker but when i use an alternate TCP player, the sound was fine.
Any ideas? I went to the options => stream => the audio is checked.
I checked the menu option => tools and all of it is checked.
Hence i hv no idea what is wrong.
any ideas anyone? Appreciate any help.
Try to set Audio to Mono and video preload @ 90 % instead 70%.
Bye.
