Install ROM P3300

Hello,
je suis novice et je tente mon premier flashage sur p3300 (sous windows XP).
j'ai téléchargé la ROM Aje_fr 1.50 et j'ai dézippé tous les fichiers.
J'ai lancé start_uspl et j'ai bien un écran DOS mais avec une succession de lignes qui indiquent fichier non trouvé
Le P3300 redémarre et rien ne s'est installé... enfin ça se termine avec une erreur 204 !!!!!
Quelqu'un peut-il m'aider please

Yes, a french thread is not very useful for others. My english isn't really good,
but here we want to help each other in a unique language...

Looks like our french friend is trying to unlock his artemis using uspl but is getting a Dos box saying file not found error 204.
I have used this no problems

Have you read the pdf manual....its all in there.
Make sure u are connected via activesync, if not it will not work.
Also make sure you unzip all the files to a folder on your pc.

yes i have read the PDF manual and i've done exactly what's written in it.
Do i need to unzip all the files in the same folder ?
In fact i have a first folder with with a first RUU a RUURessource dll and then 2 other folders with the Artemis USPL and EnterBootloader folder.
Do i copy all the files in the same folder ?

Yes you need to unzip all the files, thats probably why you are getting the errors.

Rom fr htc

Hi enveryone, i just install Dutty ROM (1.1), but i have some problems with my 3G+ connection : now youtube, messenger, video doesn't work.
So im searching for the original ROM of SFR (so maybe with all the good parameters).

Ok guys, it's working now with dutty's one, some strangeous parameters and after several tries, video and youtube are working, just 2things and all will be fine

-Swype doesn't make space automaticaly in htc messaging...but no problem in Windows sms app!

To enable HTC Sense go to start menu->system->today->items and check HTC Sense.
To enable the softbar, please go in Paramètre-->accueil-->select "blackGTX"

Voila une nouvelle rom wm6.5.5.23563 avec sense...mais le tout en français cette fois ci!
Pour les remerciements et les applications inclues dans la rom, voir plus haut!
Il y a actuellement quelques bugs non résolu:
-Lors du premier démarrage, tout est buggé! Faites juste l'alignement de l'écran; et ensuite appuyer sur suivant directement quand il vous demande de régler date/heure (le fuseau est déja ok).
-Vous devez aller dans Paramètres-->systèmes-->paramètres régionaux et choisir "France" pour avoir tout les réglages régionaix corrects (format 24h, monnaie etc...
-Vous allez peut etre devoir aller dans les paramètres réseaux et séléctionner les réglages de votre opérateur dans l'application "paramètres de l'opérateur" pour pouvoir vous connecter sur le net/mms
-Swype ne fait pas les espaces automatiquement dans htc messaging (aucun probleme dans l'application sms de windows)

Pour activer sense, il faut passer par le menu paramètres-->accueil
De même, si vous voulez un thème sympa, allez dans le menu accueil et séléctionner "blackGTX"
La ram est eut etre un peu faiblarde (30mo en moyenne)...je cherche, je cherche
Toute les roms sense pour tg01 ont ce problème (si je dis pas de bétises ! )...j'ai peut etre trouvé une solution, je teste et je vous dis!!
Si vous voyez des bugs, si vous avez des suggestions, dite le moi!

rename .tsw to .enc and it works

SSDL+ always worked before... Strange.
This it not my first flash : I did at least a hundred...
Shortpin method seems to work by renaming to .enc (I forgot that particular step, THANKS)

So far so good !
Photo Album, Music and Meteo work. Sense works in lanscape mode !
So this is an impressive work !!!
Some issues/suggestions :
- in Paramètres/Système/A propos de : Nom de l'appareil = HTC_HD2
- HTC Black theme should IMHO be remove because there is graphical issues (textx not appearing) on some menues.
- I'm not fan of Dark Ninja's Android desire taskbar. I think anybody could choose it's taskbar...
- some Toshiba Menu remains (Toshiba menu can be enabled in Today's selection) and you could save room by removing this.
- in Sense menu Paramètres/Informations téléphone/Informations matérielles is empty and some info is missing in Informations logicielles (this is the same in most Sense 2.5 installed in non HTC hardware)
- Bluetooth does not work in Manila Comm Manager.

Yes, don't worry, I plan to put sense 2014 soon!
I can do a dynamic pagepool version, it's not a problem...but I don't think it's a good idea, i'm a little scard of what windows mobile could do with it!!
But if you want, I can!

I'll fix the name of the phone, and remove the HTC black theme!
Yep for dark ninja's taskbar, but you can uninstall it! I put it as a cab, so anyone can uninstall it and install the taskbar he wants.
But I think it's a good taskbar, and it solves the battery icon problem, so i put it as default. But you're free to uninstall it
Yes for toshiba things, but in fact i talked of it with nunzio, and the problem is that if i remove too much toshiba things...we won't have toshiba settings anymore! But i'll see what i can delete!
I don't think i can solve the htc device info problem...I'll have a look!
For the problem in the comm manager for the bluetooth, i think it's solved now.
I'll try to improve my rom, following what you told me and i upload a new version, tonight or Tomorrow...

In fact, I don't know what to think about the dynamic pagepool version...it takes less ram, but i think it's a bit more "laggy"??.
I'll upload the dynamic pagepool version, And actually, i'm building the v1.1 with pagepool=14mo.
I'll upload both.
But I don't know how to fix bluetooth in comm manager...I'll keep searching tomorrow..

ps: but i don't think you should flash my new rom, especialy if you take the pagepool=14 version...because there is no really improvement here...and all the improvement i made, you can fix it by your own without flashing again (tell me if you need help).
I think you should wait one more day...to let me search and find why there is this bug in comm manager, and to fix one or two things

French all-in-one update.zip for Argent2stone

When I tried Argent2stone two weeks ago, I really enjoyed everything about that rom, but the incomplete translations.
I just managed to create an Update.zip which makes french integration almost perfect.
I'm happy with it, almost no english remains.
This update.zip is for people who want to use argent2stone in french, but the method should also work for a german translation as well, if someone tries.
(I used xUltimate for deodexing/zipalign, adb pull to get /etc/spellchecker, and Update.zip 2.0 Modifier/Creator in the end)
Contents :
This update.zip installs in the same time :
- azerty2.zip found in argent2stone main thread
- motoginger theme from santiemanuel's magicbox (which handles french)
- fully deodexed and zipaligned /app folder from french sbf including mynet (the stock wifi tethering app)
- /etc/spellchecker for french orthographic corrections
What is still in english :
-Swype (but french now available for standart multitouch onscreen keyboard)
-Spare parts
-Some text in the blur sms and email apps. Don't know why ...

Présentation et instructions en français
Cet update.zip traduit presque complètement la rom argent2stone en français, ce qui inclut :
-Thème motoginger, qui gère le français, et qui est joli, ce qui ne gâche rien
-disposition du clavier
-correction orthographique
-clavier virtuel multipoint
-applications et widgets traduits, déodexés et zipalignés
Quelques éléments n'ont pas été traduits :
-Clavier swype
-Quelques bouts de texte dans la boite de réception universelle, l'appli sms/mms et mail. Je doute que quelqu'un trouve ça vraiment gênant tant c'est minime.
Sachez que vous installez cet update.zip à vos risques et périls.
Je n'accepterai aucune responsabilité si vous briquez votre milestone en essayant de l'installer.
Je vous conseille fortement de faire une sauvegarde de votre téléphone avant d'appliquer ma mise à jour!
Comment l'installer :
1°) Copiez le fichier update.zip à la racine de la carte mémoire
2°) Redémarrez dans le clockworkmod, soit en utilisant droid2bootstraper, soit en allumant le téléphone avec la procédure bouton on+caméra
3°) Choisir "Apply sdcard/update.zip"
4°) Choisir "Wipe cache" (Non obligatoire, mais recommandé)
5°) Redémarrez, ça devrait marcher

Well, it doesn't really need any tutorial...
1°) Place the update.zip directly on /sdcard
2°) Reboot in clockworkmod using droid2bootstraper (or power+camera button method)
3°) Choose "apply sdcard/update.zip"
4°) Wipe cache
5°) Reboot

Tested on Argen2Stone 1.9 !
After the installation of the pack, I got frozen boots (frozen few minutes on the letter "M") and from the third boot it's going perfect All translated, great pack for French like us
(Frozen is maybe caused by the fact I forgot the step "Wipe the cache"...)

Glad to see that my little translation pack is still useful...
I think Santiemanuel said that the upcoming v2.0 should have native french support...

[Q] APN configuration on Dynamics 2.0

I'm having trouble to configure my APN settings on last Dynamics (2.0) Rom.
The question have already been asked for this, or others roms, but the answers that satified the users in all the thread i found didn't work for me. So here is my case :
My phone
Samsung Omnia 7
Windows 7.8 (7.10.8862.144)
Rom : Dynamics v2.0,
Here are all the solution i tried (for what i remember), I think the issue might come from the KK2 update from samsung, but i don't really know what it does :
Nokia, HTC, Samsung, LG, fujistu "network pofiles" or "APN settings" app :.
(didn't work, couldn't launch, or had the wrong provisioning files (for samsung network profile, couldn't edit them in anyway, for all i know)
ProvXML solution :
via diagnosis, homebrew provxml app, cabsender. Any of them could see or the .xml files. I found that its probably the KK2 update that disabled the use of ProvXml files on samsung devices
WP7 root tools :
Tried by myself and by looking for hints on forums to manualy edit the existings APN settings with mine. Obviously some of them were hide.
Samsung Tools solution :
Use diagnosis to delete the existing APN parameters and launch Samsung Tools run ADC option to automatically configure Data and MMS settings on reboot. This solution actualy bricked or relocked my phone (Half of my homebrew apps don't launch anymore : xap deployer, root manager, WP7 root tools, but WPH Tweaks for exemple still works)
Every time i reseted my phone to be sure i didn't had a alterated OS, registry etc, but i'm starting to getting sick of reseting my phone again and again because it fails again and again. Maybe we could turn this thread into a guide so set APN settings (i'm obviously not the only one to ask this question) and put in order, all the solutions to try, until it works.
But i'll be needing you for this, if i forgot some solution, i will edit my post, and add the links if a thread exists explaining the solution.

What do you mean by "why KK2" ? it's in the update. Samsung decided it, not me ? I'm not sure what you wan't to know.
I picked the Dynamics 2.0 because it's (for what i know) one of the latest and cleanest Rom, basicly its full unlocked, some root apps (xap deploy, WP7 root toold, etc) installed and that's prelly much it.
And i think the difficulty to change APN settings (its already difficult with WP7 alone, but now its worse) comes from this specific KK2 update, not from the Rom.
So the 7.10.8107.79 OS update would bring the firmware update (KK2) with it to any Rom.
My question is : Where the problem comes from ?
In a post from 1800pocketpc we have a first answer : @wphonehacker reach out to us and informed us that Samsung didn’t block the WindowBreak hack specifically, but they blocked provxml, which was being used way before WB existed.
But is it really from this KK2 update or it is from the ROM ? I the first case i could use any Rom, but be carefull not to update the phone. But even if it changed the way of editing APN (because they really can't just delete this possibility), isn't there any other way to edit APN than to use provxml ? If it comes from the ROM I will change it, but for wich one ? Which rom is fully unlocked, up-to-date and clean (no dark theme or what so ever)
Its not like if we were trying to modify any weird parameters, some app on the marketplace does it.
I may have found a solution with this 1800pocketpc post though (IF the problem comes from the KK2 firmware update). It would be to flash again the Phone with an un-updated Dynamics (or other) Rom, and update the OS without updating the firmware :

And weird thing, i remember when the Rom was up to date, the pre-existing version of samung's "Network Profile" app was working : i could change APN settings but with US provisioners, i'm from france and couldn't use any of them.
When i updated Network Pofile, THEN the app told me "You're using the wrong device or your decide isn't up to date, try to update it with zune" (something like this).
SO there is still a way to change APN, but i can't find a way to change provisionners list, OR to do it manualy (type yourself all parameters).

With nokia network setup normally yes.
The appearance is approximately the same as the dynamics

Oui je suis français, et j'ai vu que tu devais surement l'être aussi (tu es pas mal présent sur generation mobile par exemple, si j'ai bien compris). Mais je me suis dit que ces posts pourraients servir à d'autres, donc continuer à l'usage : en anglais ^^.
Sinon je voulais savoir si le projet "Imagine" était actif ?
A force de reformater mon telephone et de remettre des applications, seulement les utiles etc, je suis en train d'essayer d'imaginer une rom en quelque sorte "parfaite".
Bon je sais pas trop comment fonctionne le projet, je suppose que vous ne pouvez pas nonplus cuisiner une ROM pour chaque membre du forum, au pire des cas, j'essaierai de faire ma ROM avec ton Tuto.
Mais si vous êtes interessés, ça pourrait aller un peu plus vite et surement être mieux fait qu'un "premier essai"

Bon je sais pas trop comment fonctionne le projet, je suppose que vous ne pouvez pas nonplus cuisiner une ROM pour chaque membre du forum, au pire des cas, j'essaierai de faire ma ROM avec ton Tuto.
Mais si vous êtes interessés, ça pourrait aller un peu plus vite et surement être mieux fait qu'un "premier essai"

Oui le projet et actif sur genmob et xda aussi.
Mais en ce moment, je suis pas mal pris, j'ai plusieurs rom en cours (pour Snipper-Ice notamment) et quelques autres, je suis un peu occupé, tout seul et en manque de temps loool
Mais tu peut utiliser ma rom, j'ai essayer de la faire la plus "pure" possible.

Hi ! Rom finaly installed, APN configured with the Nokia Network Setup App (smartly hidden in parameters)
I miss something from the dynamics 2.0 though : the Clock Hub tile ( mediafire.com/download/kt8n79jq1bbkvia/Clock_Hub_v1.0.0.0.xap )
When installed and pinned it says "Clock Hub native part isn't running. Wait a little."
Is there a reason to this ?
Also i miss the default battery appearance, any way to get the old one ?

On clock hub, I do not know because my omnia 7 does not work for now, but I think clock hub is the property of the xda team, and I think he does not want it to be integrated into other rom that the their. To be confirmed...
For battery appearance, yes I can make you a cab, but you do not like the percentage?

Well actualy its not the percentage i'm not liking, but i prefer the régular display (as percentage goes to 5 - 10 - 20 - 30, etc its not really more pecise)
and percentage was displayed on the Clock Hub (with all numbers : 53,54,55,56, etc). But i understand that they may have protected it ! I'll find something else maybe .
