This works beautifully - thank you very much. Quick online translation of instructions:
How to install: Copy the files
unmap_volume.exe And AddHotkeys.exe in a folder/Windows/startup
Make soft-reset
Go in the manager of automatic loading and check that unmap_volume.exe
It loaded by the first. If it not so - correct and again make soft-reset
Copy in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ files:
SimUp.exe, SimDown.exe.
Further go in Start/Settings/Buttons/Volume Up and Volume down
Also appoint performance of the following programs:
SimUp.exe - emulation joystick up
SimDown.exe - emulation joystick down.
How to remove:
Remove files unmap_volume.exe, SimUp.exe, SimDown.exe
Before removal of file AddHotkeys.exe finish process AddHotkeys.exe.
(for example programs Dinar MemMaid or SKTools)
Make soft-reset
The working instruction is made> Gordons095 [at] yandex.ru

In this thread I'd like to introduce you to the different languages ROM translations for the Ipaq 91x devices
I did it first for the Spanish one. The developing of this ROM is into this thread. There, with some ppl help, I made successive tries until I got a very well translated ROM. So this one is a final version, and to take care of your suggestions, I appreciate you to go to the thread mentioned before.
The second attempt has been the French one. Mrpro1 asked me to do it and I accepted. It is based on the Spanish one, and after a while I can say that almost everything works perfectly. There are some issues with the translation of the keyboard, but nothing serious.
The rest of the versions are divided in two types: The normal ROMs and the Unicode symbol ones. I mean, for example the Chinese and the Polish ones have to have some symbols that doesn't appear in ASCII code. So the initflashfiles.dat is SO WEIRD (rows of numbers and letters separated by slashes) to work with that its possible that there are still some bugs. I worked recently over the polish one so please, write some feedback to know if everything works well. If not, post what does not work and I'll see if can be corrected or not.
There are two things that never worked and is not expected to do it anymore, but they are very easy to correct at first startup: The app button config is on Configuration -> Personal -> Buttons, and the USB connection to the PC is activated on Configuration -> Conections -> USB to PC

De los links de abajo consigues un archivo .zip. Lo descomprimes y tienes el .dio. Éste se mete en una tarjeta de menos de 2 gigas (si no no funciona, porque no puede ser sdhc) y ponemos el telefono en modo sdloader con la tarjeta dentro. Para ello hay que pulsar Vol+ y tecla Ok lateral y apretar reset sin dejar de soltar las otras dos teclas. Luego, el chisme hace una serie de cosas y acaba haciendo un clean reboot. Después de todo el proceso, aparece una pantallita azul y unas instrucciones que si se siguen, llevan a la pantalla de inicio de WM6.5

What you get from my links is a .zip file. Decompress it and you have the .dio file. Put this file into a less than 2 gb sd (sdhc won't work) and put your device in sdloader mode. This happens pressing together volumeup + ok and pressing reset releasing the two vol and ok buttons. After doing this, the device checks the file integrity, flash to your device rom and do a clean reboot. When is finished, it ahould autoreset, but if not, it will show a black screen for a long time. Is then when it has finished, so then make a reset and your device will have installed the WM6.5!! Folow the instructions and that's all

After doing a ROM updrage from a bad miniSD card or .DIO file, there is a way to bring it back. You need:

How to:

AZERTY keyboard
I've found this .cab that makes a simple change. We have to test if it works before including it into the ROM. So I give you the attached file and you test it ok?
If it doesn't work, using a registry editor try to change by hand as follows.
open registry and go there:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]
Modify CurLang to 1036 for AZERTY FR Keyboard
If necessary, change also this line (shouldn't be neccesary since is already changed on the ROM):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout
Active = 0000040c

I made a first attempt of Polish ROM, but is not easy. Since Hp does not provide any Polish ROM for the Ipaq devices, is difficult to find how to translate every files. I did change the hole SYS folder, but I cannot change anything into the OEM_Lang_0415 because it simply doesn't exist
So what I'm doing is to change the initflashfiles.dat manually, and rename to 0415 every 0409 files trying to overwrite those which are critical.
All this means that when I'm finished you will have to test it but without any guaranty of a good translation. At least, it seems that the main system will be translated, in the absence of the templates and some things else.
Probably tomorrow I'll have the very first version

Yes, I think I can. I fact, it should be possible to finish it better than the Polish one. But I can't t be sure if it will be the simplified or the traditional. Is it important for you?
In any case it will take time, because I'm improving the Spanish one, correcting the French and finishing the Polish

J'ai d'abord installer le .cab, j'ai redemmaré l'Ipaq, ensuite, en cherchant bien, j'ai trouvé les valeurs dans le total commander mais tout est ecrit comme tu l'as mentionné!

Hi, I've made a greek rom translation based on some older 6.5 kitchen (with the start button on top, I can't remember the exact version). I did this for my father's 614c. It was based on a beta kitchen and needs customization after flashing but anyway if anyone's interested I can post it. Personaly, I own an onmia and I'm fine with wwe but my father isn't as comfortable.
The thing is, I want to make a custom 6.5.x rom but I can't find the localization packs for the latest kitchen available here. Da_G's thread has only the latest but the kitchen is a bit older... Can I use that? 23563 localization packs on 23544 is it any different in terms of text? ..or even better, can anyone point me to the greek packs for 23544?
Any help with translation proccess is highly appreciated. My last rom seems perfectly translated appart from having 2 "My Videos" folders under "My Documents". Is far as I remember, I changed the files under SYS but, like polish, there isn't an official greek rom so apart from that I just translated initflashfiles.dat based on the terminology from my initial greek omnia rom. Aparently I had a bug somewhere and not absolutely eveything was translated but I was happy enough. But it still isn't as touch friendly as it could be so I'm trying to update it..

I thing you would appreciate THIS thread. Is just a little tutorial I made to translate my ROM, but it seems it's exactly what you are asking for. And I think that the Da_G's packages should work fine, since the actualization of the ROMs usually doesn't go through big changes in SYS modules, but in the drivers and functionality

About the Chinese one, I'm now finishing the Polish ROM, and then I'll begin with yours. Let's see which kind of Chinese it is and then we talk about how to improve it

New Polish ROM
- Polski: PoProstu Norax (91x)
It was the hardest to develop, due to there are not any Polish Hp ROM.
Remember that is just a Beta, and don't forget to write the necessary feedback to let me correct the bugs (model, problem, if fixed or not...)
PD: I was living in Poland for a while, but I don't speak polish at all So the feedback, in Spanish, English or French, please

Voila une nouvelle rom wm6.5.5.23563 avec sense...mais le tout en français cette fois ci!
Pour les remerciements et les applications inclues dans la rom, voir plus haut!
Il y a actuellement quelques bugs non résolu:
-Lors du premier démarrage, tout est buggé! Faites juste l'alignement de l'écran; et ensuite appuyer sur suivant directement quand il vous demande de régler date/heure (le fuseau est déja ok).
-Vous devez aller dans Paramètres-->systèmes-->paramètres régionaux et choisir "France" pour avoir tout les réglages régionaix corrects (format 24h, monnaie etc...
-Vous allez peut etre devoir aller dans les paramètres réseaux et séléctionner les réglages de votre opérateur dans l'application "paramètres de l'opérateur" pour pouvoir vous connecter sur le net/mms
-Swype ne fait pas les espaces automatiquement dans htc messaging (aucun probleme dans l'application sms de windows)

Pour activer sense, il faut passer par le menu paramètres-->accueil
De même, si vous voulez un thème sympa, allez dans le menu accueil et séléctionner "blackGTX"
La ram est eut etre un peu faiblarde (30mo en moyenne)...je cherche, je cherche
Toute les roms sense pour tg01 ont ce problème (si je dis pas de bétises ! )...j'ai peut etre trouvé une solution, je teste et je vous dis!!

rename .tsw to .enc and it works

SSDL+ always worked before... Strange.
This it not my first flash : I did at least a hundred...
Shortpin method seems to work by renaming to .enc (I forgot that particular step, THANKS)

So far so good !
Photo Album, Music and Meteo work. Sense works in lanscape mode !
So this is an impressive work !!!
Some issues/suggestions :
- in Paramètres/Système/A propos de : Nom de l'appareil = HTC_HD2
- HTC Black theme should IMHO be remove because there is graphical issues (textx not appearing) on some menues.

I can do a dynamic pagepool version, it's not a problem...but I don't think it's a good idea, i'm a little scard of what windows mobile could do with it!!
But if you want, I can!

I'll fix the name of the phone, and remove the HTC black theme!
Yep for dark ninja's taskbar, but you can uninstall it! I put it as a cab, so anyone can uninstall it and install the taskbar he wants.
But I think it's a good taskbar, and it solves the battery icon problem, so i put it as default. But you're free to uninstall it
Yes for toshiba things, but in fact i talked of it with nunzio, and the problem is that if i remove too much toshiba things...we won't have toshiba settings anymore! But i'll see what i can delete!
I don't think i can solve the htc device info problem...I'll have a look!
For the problem in the comm manager for the bluetooth, i think it's solved now.
I'll try to improve my rom, following what you told me and i upload a new version, tonight or Tomorrow...

In fact, I don't know what to think about the dynamic pagepool version...it takes less ram, but i think it's a bit more "laggy"??.
I'll upload the dynamic pagepool version, And actually, i'm building the v1.1 with pagepool=14mo.
I'll upload both.
But I don't know how to fix bluetooth in comm manager...I'll keep searching tomorrow..

ps: but i don't think you should flash my new rom, especialy if you take the pagepool=14 version...because there is no really improvement here...and all the improvement i made, you can fix it by your own without flashing again (tell me if you need help).
I think you should wait one more day...to let me search and find why there is this bug in comm manager, and to fix one or two things

Hi Pere, do you means I'll do an english version? I thinks no because there are more ENG version but for French just Novembre5, Nokser and Pipolas have do a release ... And I'm not very good in English ... Sorry

Salut et merci pour tes commentaires, as tu mis cliquer sur "Paramètre de l'opérateur" ? peut être tu peux regarder ici si c'est un problème de configuration..
Si c'est juste un pbm d'affichage tu peux regarder dans les paramètres d'IE .. dur dur d'aider quand on peu pas tester ... Sinon envoie un screen du pbm

pour arrêter la connection "data", as-tu prévu ? car j'ai plus accès au bouton bas gauche du téléphone pour l'arrêter et ça me consomme la batterie.
sinon dois-je utiliser un utilitaire comme "data controller" ?

J'ai juste diminué le temps Online vers Offline des connections grâce au registre
Sinon oui tu peux utiliser ton utilitaire afin de mieux gérer .
Sur le forum TG01, 2 personnes m'ont dit avoir un problème avec l'icône "avion" dans la taskbar et perdre certaines connexions... Es-ce ton cas également ?

Copy both zip on your sd-card.
Install with Malez Recovery as same as the installation of the ROM (sorry for my english too)
