Is there a "haptic" app? - Touch CDMA General

I know that when you touch the screen, it does not vibrate letting you know that a key was pressed. Is there an app so that when you do touch a key, that it would slightly vibrate?

Yes, there is. I believe that you will find it in the Dev & Hacking section and it goes by the name "Haptic Feedback" or something like that. I don't have the cab or else I would upload it... sorry.

Thank you for pointing me in the correct direction. I found an app called Touch Back v1 Beta 4 from this thread but it didn't work properly. I found another app called Touch Response 0.3.2 from this thread and also doesn't work properly.
Any other help?

The length of the vibration. I set it to 1ms and it seems to vibrate for 1 second. I also went it to the Registry and changed the "strength" of the vibration and that didn't help.

Maybe the units of time in the registry are not in ms. Try to play with the values and see what happens.

Were you using Touch Response on WinMo 6.1? Because I have noticed that haptic feedback does not work very well with WinMo 6.1 but it works fine on WinMo 6.5.

Try Touch Response. But I'm not sure it will work on WM 6.1. It was one of the preinstalled apps on NFSANS 6.5 ROM

Hi, Can you help me understand please. SPB Mobile Shell, you say works on the Shift...has it been specially written for the Shift, or are you saying any PPC software, will work equally as well on the Shift? I thought the software had to address the different screen sizes of various devices..no?
Thanks in advance.

GSen (SKKV Software)

Anyone tried this app on the athena? (as it also has an accelerometer) If so does it work?

Would be brilliant if it works but my hopes aren't high as I couldn't find anything on the topic.

looks like a nice tool, but after I installed on my Ameo I tried to use GSen Version 1.40.
But a window popup with following message :
cannot connect to GSensor (1)
mhh, doesn't run on Ameo ... and delete it ...
Ameo, t-mobile ROM version 6
btw: I've now asked the developer why GSen is not running on Ameo ... hope I get an answer..
Accelerometer
Hey,
I've installed it on my HTC Advantage X7510 with WM6.! Professional, and I can confirm that it works.
When I'm in the today screen and I turn the PDA it does turn in Landscape and Portrait mode with no problem great at last it works.
Thanks for the link if anybody what's me to try anything please let me known.
Thanks
Gigino
I am happy for you gigino, but I am in the same boat as palmchen (have a X7500 with t-mobile WM6 ROM).
Perhaps the interface to the sensor is slightly different between WM6 and 6.1
I am sure it can't be that difficult to access it from WM6. Hopefully the developer will be able to implement it or give some clue which will assist some brainbox from this community in hacking this version to get working with WM6. In my eyes this is one of those killer apps.
I tried this on wm6.1, and had the same error message.
IMO the answer is simple: it works using HTC VUEFLO .dll. X7510 has those dll, x7500 doesn't!
In AP4 or AP5 it will work

could you please provide the new vueflo.dll for the old devices ?
If it only a dll to change that should be not a problem, or ?
btw: I've asked the developer, but he told me that he is to busy and have no time in the moment to update this programm.
Thanks for this. It is a great find. Works well with my X7510.

For some it is a must have. For others, it is an annoyance and irritation.
only because we can't get it working!
Sorry guys, we doesn´t have these devices for testing.
We just was surprised about the info, our tool is working on HTC Advantage X7510.
Also we not know the reason why it is not working on HTC Advantage X7500.
Possible reasons:
- missing/different software driver
- different ROM/ACU version
- missing needed hardware
As i said, we cannot test because of missing hardware.

Not because of that. It was working all right.
I hated this auto rotate thing because 9 out of times the rotate happens against my wish, and it slows my device.
After the initial few minutes of novelty, I was already wanting to switch it off.

No, I don't, there are SOME dll, you can find it in the AP4 / AP5 ROM. I agree, the rotation is too slow and the screen rotation is useless and time consuming 90% of time. My brain is much faster in image rotation and my finger is slower than brain but acts only when needed

Screen rotation is fast on mine. Might be ROM or today screen related in yours.
The speed you can change in settings: #timeout(value) - default value 1000 ms

Enable Proximity Sensor When using BT (dot fred Task Manager Fix)

Ok so i was using shadowline's rom and i noticed that in his rom if i was using my bluetooth headset the proximity sensor was still active. His rom was the only one that had this out of all the roms i tried. So i wrote a little app to enable this is every rom. I have only tested it on EnergyRom 6.5.1 but it should work on any rom. You will need .net3.5
**EDIT**
I have made a little fix so that dot fred task manager works with this app
What does this do exactly?
it keeps the proximity sensor active when using bluetooth so if you put it in your pocket the screen automatically turns off when you pull it out of your pocket it turns on
Thanks for sharing!
I´ll give it a shot
Is this for wm6.5 only? The proximity sensor works on my TP2 (wm6.1) without the patch.

NaviPanel Install Cab?

Hey everyone...
I've been looking everywhere for a navipanel cab for our phone. I had one for the fuze (touch pro) but as the Touch pro 2 is a wvga I dont think it will work.
I know there are some roms out here with it kicking around but I cant find any actual install cabs. If someone has it would they mind sharing it with the community?
Thanks!
201 views and NO one has a cab...... lovely! This at least says people want it and are interested if there was one. Someone out there must have it.
Just for the record The attached picture is what I am talking about.

That is the Navi Panel from the HTC Iolite.
dwizzy130
ark666 sent me his cab file.. just waiting for permission to post it if anyone else wants to give it a try. I did have the navipanel files in my phone originally but when I would bring up the program it showed no icons at all. After installing his cab the icons are there however the only icon that I am able to select is the make a call one which brings me into the 3 options dialer, favoirtes and recent calls then sub menus from there.
This was all sort of to be expected but figured I would give it a shot anyway.
Ideally, if we can get this version of the navipanel to work with other GPS units like the one from Iolite (hacked to work on the fuze/touch pro) this this ap would be perfect.
I've attached some screen shots of the program running before the cab install and then after.
is this similar to the xpheria x1 panels app ive seen floating around?
I dont believe so... I think what you are talking about is an entirely different UI. This is just a program that sort of simplies the most common functions of the phone for in the car. Gives you shortcuts right into your GPS program and shortcuts for phone calls.

BioTouch Problem

Dear Pals,
Using Biotouch of 6.1 on 6.5 causing msgs when scrolling down and press finger to stop it to move to another box.
Is there a setting that prevent this!!! using biotouch from mega causing audio manager & youtub player to not scroll down correctly.
thx
I'm not 100% sure what biotouch is (it's for finger scrolling, right?), but I'm pretty sure you don't want it with 6.5. I've never used it; 6.5 has native finger scrolling that's better than anything in 6.1. My recommendation is to just dump it.

In my case the dummy doesn't work for the blackstone.
It is required by the biotouch.dll to work. It crashes when you slide pages in the RSS Hub or slide between emails.
