HELP: What ROM do i have and is it up to date? - Droid Eris Android Development

Hi, a few weeks ago i updated to a new rom on my eris. Im not sure what i got, although i think it might be the 2.1 leaked rom. My software info says i have 2.1 and my build number says release-keys. Is this the most up to date rom and if not, can i update to the one that is?
Thanks

its the leaked 2.1

Froyo ROM Confusion

Myself, I'm waiting for a rooted stock incremental or full ROM.
To clarify some confusion. This is what I've learned.
Ava 2.2 is a full ROM based on a leaked official update.
An early release (temporarily hosted by HTC later version than the ava leak) ota update has been released. It is of course not root safe and is incremental. You should be using 1.47 stock to flash it.

Ava is a pre-release, version 3.25. The real deal hasn't come out yet but will be version 3.26.

Installing stock 2.1 Rom over leaked 2.2

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but is it possible to install stock 2.1 Rom over leaked 2.2?

no
and next time post this under questions
Please try searching before posting. There have been like 10 posts a day about this since the leaked version launched.
Take it to a Sprint store and they should be able to roll you back.

Lockscreen and 2.2

Hey guys quick question,
After reading on several sites about the android 2.2 for the epic that was released on googles servers I flashed to that. So, I'm on android 2.2 now and 1) am wondering if it was a real rom or if it was just a leak and 2) why didn't we get the puzzle piece lockscreen like the captivate vibrant etc.?
Thanks for your help
Edit: I'm currently on dk28

1) leak, it isn't "official" unless sprint provides it
2) different pieces are scattered between galaxy s phones, find someone to port it as an add-on
Thanks so much for your help. One last question: will I receive the"official" update ota even though I'm on this leaked rom? Do I need to flash back to stock 2.1?

Have to be on 2.1 to get the ota.

[Q] Camera won't work on my G2. Got duped by a craigslist purchase. Help!

So picked up a G2 from a guy on craigslist. Everything works fine except the camera app crashes everytime and I have to force close it. The dedicated camera button does nothing at all. Have tried doing a factory reset and no luck.
Any ideas for options? I am pretty sure the warranty is not in play as I am the second(third /fourth) owner.
thanks in advance
Could you post your phones software info?

Are you willing to root the phone and try custom rom?
Otherwise you can try to search for another camera in market, to see if it works.
I'm guessing this a sense Rom you're using and since its android version 2.2, the camera will not work. This is because sense is closed source and it would mean virtually rewriting much of sense in order to get it to work. Since you're running 2.2 you must also be rooted so why not try out a custom 2.1 sense rom, they have a working camera. I suggest villain rom 13.

Ah, I see, he has 2.2, while 2.1 is the last official version from HTC. In that case I can reccomend latest FroydVillain release.
I am using CM7 nightlies, but they are not as stable and have some annoying problems.

Thanks for the response guys. Are you sure 2.1 is the last official release? I have the TMobile G2 which I though received an OTA update back in October for Froyo (2.2) . Isn't this the official version?

You can warranty the phone if the manufacturer date is under a year old. I did!

gingerbread rom for droidx

Have a question. I'm running a rooted Droid X on Verizon wireless running Android 2.2.1. I'm currently running Liberty 2.0.1 right now on the device. Is there a way to put a gingerbread ROM on my phone so I can be running gingerbread? Right now verizon doesn't have an update to push my phone to a 2.3, but is there a way I can manually do this? I only ask cause I also have a HTC Desire running cyanogenmod7 and it made my phone go from 2.2 to 2.3 and I'm curious if there is a way for me to do this with the droidx on verizon and if so where can I download it from?

Liberty for gb will take u from froyo to gb, but u will have to purchase donated toolbox from the market, well worth it if u ask me

Do you want liberty gingerbread or just stock gingerbread. Google gingerbread and you should find the last update. I do know it went public and you just flash it like a rom. I read about thus today on an android website just not sure wich one. Might of been android central.

You can find the gingerbread files on google, or check the site in my sig for the files. It's a 3 part file, is pre-rooted, flashable in clockwork mod recovery. There's also an update (.591) to the 3 part file listed on there, but must be flashed after.
