Hi All
After one Year of being in and out , Im making my First Post for help !
Im on T-Mobile UK , i have Mobile TV installed e.g Sky sports , Im trying to view it on my Blackstone , but it says phone not compatiable when trying to load page because of T-Mobile does not support this phone. There must be a direct link to stream to the software on the phone to bypass this check , or a way round it, it works on all my T-Mobile phones. Just this one , if i phone customer support , Well Ill say no more !
MaxWeb
Try this:

I also have the Dutch version of the TP2, I've tried the HTC Voice Recorder:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=346298
but sadly it doesn't work for me. It installs perfectly but when you start it, nothing happens. Well, at least I don't know something is happening, maybe it's already recording everything.
Have a look here:

Works great on Rhodium.
Here you are - took me ages to find it too!

voice recorder
Have been looking for something similar myself adn was directed to noteM elsewhere on this forum.
But then I realised afterwards that there is already a notes app included with the TP2.
As default this is set for written notes but in the menu you can enable a voice recorder function as well.
You don't haave the extra functionality of choosing the recording format etc but the basic app is there for you to use.

Yesterday a friend of mine showed to me how he uses iPhone 4 and video call features with BOTH front and REAR cameras!
Yes REAR camera...I was surpised. iPhone 4 has an internal application which allows for video call using both cameras.
Now I wonder: is it possible to customize skype mobile (or other similar chat applications) and force it to use our HD2 REAR camera (due to lack of front camera)?
Thanks and waiting
Saulo866
If anybody knows about a chat application (for windows mobile) which uses rear camera, please can he submit?
Thanks a lot!
S.
any idea?
I will appreciate
Saulo
In my many years of using Windows Mobile I have never heard of an application like this. Sorry.
I'm interested in this question too.
What about the "Video Share Mode" (Tip 14)?
Using the rear camera it would be possible to have video calls (using a mirror).
Skype for WinMo is not supported anymore. The last Skype-version for WinMo 6.5 has NO videocall-feature !!!!
And there will never be, since Skype will not be updated for WinMo any more .........
BTW: use search function and You will find all answers
Hallo Troed
Thanks for your suggestion...but I really tried the search function on many key words...
Can you please be more specific? Which search keyword did you input?
Or which apps/products did you find that might provide chat and video call features?
Thanks a lot!
Saulo
Hallo pdahunter
In my opinion if such a chat application does exist, it does not need a mirror: in fact the mic is omnidirectional and the speakerphone capability of HD2 are awesome, so I would simply turn my HD2 180 degree (on vertical axis) and use as it is, pointing the rear camera to my face.
Thanks for your ideas!

So how do you see the other person who is taking to you
simply I do not see the remote party (mostly my mother and my brother).
What I want is to have my mother (which is far away) capable to see my kids.
I would be satisfied for that.
Thanks
Saulo
Videoconferencing friends this could not be done with fring or nimbuz. This already happens with the iPhone 3Gs??

Back when i had my cingular 8525 (hermes) i was
also obssessed with trying to find something similar.
Eventually i did find something that Microsoft was working on
it was fairly old, WM2003 i believe and i remember on the website
it had a PPC with a camera attachment on top (very old looking website).
i never downloaded the app because right around that time i killed my data plan and nor longer saw a need for it. I think it was compatible with windows Messenger.
Microsoft Portrait - http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/portrait/
for videocalling, I just use skype on a laptop. Not really interested in using it on my phone.
Since skype is NO more supported, which are the best chat applications (with video call) that can compete with skype for windows mobile?
Thanks
Saulo
deal all
Any more updates? Any WM compatible video calling application, besides skype?
Thanks

Please some one help us out
I got some hints about nimbuzz and fring, but do they have video call capabilities?
Can they run on WM 6.5?
Thank you
Saulo
Maybe this thread will show no more additional contributions...but I wish to try again: any feedback about Nimuzz and fring, as skype replacement?
Any idea if they can use the rear camera of HT2?
Thank you
Saulo

I just switched from a HD2 to the Desire HD and have two questions that i hop you 'Android-PowerUsers' can help med with ;-)
1) Is there a Contact widget that don't just list the contacts alphabetically, but where you deside withc contacht i shown?
The HTC and Andorid widget don't.
2) I have configured my Microsoft Exchage connection so i recive mail from it on the phone, but i can only see what's in my 'INBox'. On my PC i have som ruels that move specific mail from the InBox to other folders, and i want to sync/see what's in these folders also. Is that possible?
Bump... please ;-)

1 The contact setup widget your looking for is the people widget, it can be set up a number of different ways to suit you and you can set up groups and have seperate widgets for each so you have say a work group, friends group and family for example. you just have to long press on ur home screen and select add widget then people you get a choice of three types of widget and when you choose your preffered style you are then confronted with a group to display in that widget
as for exchange server i just use gmail as it syncs everything up nicely with good ui and i can see all my folders simply laid out in labels, i have no experience with exchange sync etc.
hope that helps a bit though

Thank mann ;-)
Try touchdown for exchange mail. The built in activesync support is pretty poor.
You get a 30 day trial but its not too expensive to buy the full app if you decide you need it bad enough.
I bought it and its very good. I'm even using it with lotus notes
Hi I consider buying Desire HD, I am owning HTC HD2 now, cld u answer my questions pls.
how is Desire HD compared to HT2
- Call recording - can some1 test Total Recall Android, does it record both sides?
- Battery Live - HD2 must be charged every day
- playing avi and other formats - no problem at all with HD2 (useing TCPMP)
- email - HD2 can record only on phones memory, so I use Profimail which is much better then original one.
- any navigation? garmin and iGo 8 works perfect on HD2
- is Cookie working on Desire HD? Do I need it there?
- Facebook? working properly?
- Myspace? (not working on HD2)
- Word? (full version?)
- any English dictionares?
- Skype( working on HD2)
Thank you!

- Yes, with Rockplayer
- email - HD2 can record only on phones memory, so I use Profimail which is much better then original one.
- can't uderstand what you mean by recording the email
- any navigation? garmin and iGo 8 works perfect on HD2
- Comes with Route 66 preinstalled with free maps (not routing). You have to pay for the navigation part though.
- is Cookie working on Desire HD? Do I need it there?
- if you mean Cookie Home Tab, then you don't need it.
- Facebook? working properly?
- Yes
- Myspace? (not working on HD2)
- Don't know
- Word? (full version?)
- Word 2003 compatible app
- any English dictionares?
- There are dictionaries in the market
- Skype( working on HD2)
- Yes

- email - HD2 can record only on phones memory, so I use Profimail which is much better then original one.
- can't uderstand what you mean by recording the email
I meant, HD2 can store the emails only on phones memory. If u've got 5-6 accounts it will fill your memory quickly. To store the emails on the card I use Profimail, which is much better program for dealing with your emails.

Well you can select the storage for the attachments (internal or external), but if I remember correctly you could do that in WM too. For storing the actual e-mail (the text itself) on the SD card... I don't think the default mail client does that, but maybe someone who is more familiar with Android phones knows better.

Attempting to answer these from experience with my DHD.
-call recording: Not attempted. I will try this later
-Battery Life: Can't put my DHD down long enough to honestly tell you about battery life but after 3 hours of browsing on the xda app I've only lost 10%. Using a custom ROM (Leedroid 2.2.2)
-video playback: I've had no problem playing videos of different formats
-email storage: stores downloaded attachments onto sd unknown if there is a storage limit on the phone itself.
-navigation: comes with google navigation. Navigon is also an option.
-cookie: unknown as to what it is or does
-Facebook: works great, not receiving notifications (could be my custom ROM)
-Myspace: working, dont really use it to know if notifications work or not.
-Word: Not attempted at using it however the rom I'm using has quickoffice that does .txt .doc items.
-english dictionary: yes many of then on the market.
-Skype: works great, no front camera so I've not attempted video calling.
Any other questions just ask.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Thanks Casper.

Yes it does support flash. From what I can tell most of the HTC Call recorders use the speakerphone output to record the conversation. Haven't tested any yet

this is a great app for wp7 screenshot capture, but HD2 hasn't camera bottun so can't use it to capture screen. Can someone change the capture bottun?
In the very thread you linked, there is a special HD2 version.
Does that not work? Maybe it would be better to ask in that thread then...
Windows phone device manager has a screen capture option. Haven't used it but its there.
Sent from my HD2 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
-> (1.0.5, HD2 edition) Now supports HD2, works now because its binded to "Search" instead of "Focus" -button; Aka "Search version".
there you go.. it's from that thread
Thanks, but it seems that it doesn't work with Mango

it works very very well
well, the resolution is a little bad, but no problem to discern the picture
And... all pictures have same file name, so when you sync it with PC or, specially Mac, it becomes very big problem.
