Every time i try to download a file from one of the hosters mentioned above i only get a like 50-100kb file.. That REALLY sucks.. Any help? ):
Tried with 2.1, 2.2, different browsers..

Got the same problem... Opera Mini sometimes gets the download right, but it is unable to use pages that have a countdown, as it doesn't refresh them most of the times...
Then I found out about DownDroid on google, but it just does nothing for me and tells me to go get a Premium Account on Rapidshare, although I am able to manually perform a free download (not waiting time) ... this prog also only works on megaupload and rapidshare, so no solution either...
Anyone?
+1
Like to know what causes this.
Also curious about this. Rapidshare is still the best host in terms of speed for me (Germany)

same problem, no solution so far
Install astro file manager and in preferences tick the option to enable browser downloads. That should fix it for you.
I'm able to download from rapidshare and other sites with the stock browser. JM5, rooted and lagfix. But try the Astro thing, it should work

Use opera mobile.
Install the app "Download all Files" from the market. It solved the same problem on my phone, it only have to be installed on your phone and nothing else.

Did you try rooting via the method here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906248
yes, but changing zip into apk gives me a parcing error and unzip it give me all files which i have no clue where to put them (i have a mac and see .exe files so rooting through a computer is not an option)...as i said before, I am better in graphics than in this kind of work....any help will be appreciated, in the other topic I only found "yes it is working" Okay, that makes me officially a noob, but anyway....
Is there anyone who has the apk for this??

It's not meant to be an apk that you install onto the phone.
(1) Download the file onto your PC and unzip it.
(2) Enable USB Debugging mode on your phone.
(3) Connect the phone to your PC.
(4) Click on the "SuperOneClick" file in the unzipped folder.
(5) Click on the "Root" button.
(6) Wait until it says that root is successful.
(7) Unplug your phone from the PC and manually reboot it.
(8) Your phone is unrooted!
thanks, I will get a laptop from my work this evening and try.
So (yes I am a noob) should I downloading this file on the phone or on the computer??

You should be downloading it to a PC and running it from there.
Oh, I forgot to add that you need to reboot your phone manually before it is detected to be rooted.

Directly from a Swype representative
Just to clarify, the version we ship to OEMs is NEVER beta. OEMs only get a fully tested, release-ready version. The beta is just that: a beta branch. New features that we haven’t set to OEMs yet.

.
is there any reason you are wanting the Beta?
there actually is. I wanted to test out the new features
You are going to have to use a root explorer and remove the Swype apk and possibly a library file. Seek out threads showing how to push it to your phone and do the reverse. The beta seems well worth it, if only for the new prediction mechanism without the popup.
You are not going to be able to test out the new features unless you are a registered beta user. The beta available on the website is not the beta for the newer version. That beta is only available to original swype beta testers. They are not accepting new testers.
Would you know where the swype apk is located and a good root explorer?

Yesterday I went to beta.swype.com, registered, downloaded the Swype Installer, and it downloaded the latest version (3.5.xxx). I know that version was just released because they've been Tweeting about it, so apparently the beta is the newer version. Unless there's something out there newer than 3.5.

Super Manager is a GREAT free root explorer it's all i use.
Also Android Commander is a great Windows/Linux based Root explorer. You can use your PC/Linux machine to navigate the root folders and edit as needed.
I tried to delete the apk and it said I couldn't because it was a system file

Nope, With our phones you must be rooted to do anything permanent to the /system folders on our phones. Once you reboot the phone it will put everything back the way it came from. That even goes for TempRooting with VISIONary r11/r14.
So how would I root.
I'm sorry for all the questions.I'm a noob

Well i would recommend setting up your SDK, or just the ADB drivers (link for that in my signature). And make sure you understand the basics of ADB commands. What they are, what they do, and when you use them. Then i would learn what a ROM, Kernel, Recovery Image, hBoot, and Radio file are, are their basic functions. then visit the development section and find a thread [should be stickied]. And go from there. Being this is your first time rooting a device i would HIGHLY encourage you to read, read, read and read. Basically read till your eyes bleed then read some more. About rooting, the benefits and the possible damages. Then go from there. More people brick their phones due to ignorance more than any other reason.
English on the first part please

ADB allows you to run commands from your computer, which can be useful if you "get into trouble". See here for an easy setup guide.
As for rooting guides, here are the two most popular:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858021
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858996
I recommend the first. If it doesn't work, you may have the "bad" eMMC, in which case you'll want to try the second one.

If u can't find it, use app Caledonia root toolbox, which have options to enable various network provider apks.
If it says app is incompatible try changing LCD density to 240,

I did a hard reset on my phone. When it turns back on i have no homescreen. The "introduction" screen comes on as if it was BRAND NEW phone. Go through setup and i have no home page just a black screen with notification bar,Which shows regularly as if phone was fine. I can view recent apps by holding home screen and besides that, that's about it.
What do i do?

Reboot
Or try hooking up your USB and transferring an apk that you download from your computer for a launcher such as Go launcher or launcher pro ( you can do this using notification bar to mount) and then drag and drop from your computer.
Install the apk, and if your problem is no home screen app, press the home button and it will work.

The best advice i can give you is return the phone since you said its new anyway. And a word of advice, if you can return it and if you can exchange it, i would get a different phone.
So I did what "rockstarar" said and it worked.
Now i then went into Rom manager and chose "install rom from SD".
did a backup and then when the phone finished it rebooted and stuck at the CM9 Mod Bootscreen...

Sooo, why does every Android device I've ever installed it on go through a tremendous amount of effort to get vending.apk to system/app?
---------- Post added at 11:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:16 AM ----------
I tried to edit the above post, but I kept getting "invalid thread id."
I wanted to say, I'm not arguing with you. I'm asking a question.
As a for instance, when I wanted to put the Play Store on my wife's Nook Tablet I had to root it first to be able to put the apk in /system/app.
