hello to all,
i have this kind of weird problem occurred with my HP rw68xx series. i received a call from a friend after our conversation was through my phone hangs on and i cannot click any key or ever tap the screen. so i let hang in there for about 2 minutes but when i noticed that nothing has changed i decided to push the reset hole below, after it boots up i noticed that antenna icon above has X on it, i checked on self test and found out that my "GSM MODULE" has failed its test then i ticked on PHONE and it shows "PHONE OFF" then i entered *#06# i was shocked when i saw that my IMEI is "FAILED".
now my question is Is there any way to restore it back the gsm services and imei of my phone? and what are the necessary steps to make it work again?
thanks in advance..
Same Case With me..
Plz Help.
BR
same here, it locked up solid, needed to remove battery.
powered on once. would not read sim nor would 'phone' show in wireless manager.
IMEI Failed etc, etc.
anybody got any ideas? is there not a driver of some sort that can be 're-flashed' on these phones?
new info:
self test also reports "fail rop1 iocontrol!!!" on the checksum test.
phone will only boot on AC power and battery can be removed and phone still runs!!!! unusual because my other rw6828 will not run on ac alone.
i believe that either the extended rom is corrupt, or there is a problem with the flash chip inside the phone.
it might be time for a JTAGging.
i've come to the conclusion that it could have a lot to do with extended rom.
is there a utility to flash extended rom via JTAG?
or, can i dump entire rom from working rw6828 and flash to stuffed one?
still no solution
i cannot work this one out on my own, any ideas?
Its all a bunch of numbers to me but :

this also happened with my o2 xda flame. "missing wireless radio". updrading rom or whatsoever will never fixed this problem, it has to do something with the gsm chip, or on the hardware side. too bad maybe its time for you to replace.
Hi,
I have an XDA Orbit. Everything works ok except when I try to use the phone, It searches but cannot find a network. The inserted SIM is o2 Pay&Go. It does ask for my pin on startup and can read the SIM history but when I try to call, the calls ends after about 2 seconds and it comes up with the following error message:
"Cannot complete the call. The signal may be unavailable or the phone number may be invalid. Verify the number and try again later"
The SIM is ok as I have used it in another phone.
Any suggestions guys...
Regards
Brian
is the phone blocked by o2? if not try flashing an official o2 rom
Not sure if it is locked to o2, I have tried the o2 SIM and a T-Mobile SIM but both give the same result, unable to find network.
I have flashed it with the official o2 WM5 rom and the WM6 upgrade and I ahve tried a different radio firmware but same result...
I would welcome any further suggestions.....
Try engineering mode with GSM reset
Hi,
Thanks, I have experience of successfully flashing the orbit but "engineering mode with GSM reset". Some help please as to how I do that.
Hey guys ..
I am facing a problem here ..
My G2 D-802 bricked then I sent it to a local service center , After a full firmware flash with box my original IMEI was changed to another one ..
The phone network works well but I can't get any OTA updates it says " Your Phone Is Not Registered Yet"
Also when I try to upgrade using LG PC Suit is says "Check Phone Status And Try Again"
Any idea how to restore my original IMEI please ?? !!

Flash stock rom
Flash official stock rom via odin..
I think after flashing stock rom on your device you will fix this bug...
