I have an HTC HD2 T-Mobile with an OEM Flashlight app that sucks and is causing issues with the UI. Does anyone know of other Flashlight apps for the HD2?
Thanks

Can anyone recommend a good screen capture program for the HD? I have found some freeware ones but they look rather old.
I am not looking for a PC version but a version to caputure only what I see on the HD screen.
I am happy to purchase a version that is known to work with the WVGA screen of the HD.

Gordo

Very cool! I installed it and it works great! Thanks but is there something that I can install on the HD that lets me capture the screen when not connected to a PC? On my JasJar I had a program that had that feature built in that I could access from the "OK" task manager but I can't remember which program that was from!
Thanks,
Gordo

There is? I have an unlocked version here in the USA but I don't see any app that came with the ROM that it was delivered with. Is it part of another program or stand alone?
Thanks,
Gordoo

Ok so i was using shadowline's rom and i noticed that in his rom if i was using my bluetooth headset the proximity sensor was still active. His rom was the only one that had this out of all the roms i tried. So i wrote a little app to enable this is every rom. I have only tested it on EnergyRom 6.5.1 but it should work on any rom. You will need .net3.5
**EDIT**
I have made a little fix so that dot fred task manager works with this app
What does this do exactly?
it keeps the proximity sensor active when using bluetooth so if you put it in your pocket the screen automatically turns off when you pull it out of your pocket it turns on
Thanks for sharing!
I´ll give it a shot
Is this for wm6.5 only? The proximity sensor works on my TP2 (wm6.1) without the patch.

the proximity sensor does not work in some roms, when i wrote this app i was using a rom that it did not work. I have not used tp2 on wm6.1 so i did not know that.

sorry i guess im not understanding what you are saying so let me frase it another way. the app checks to see if your on your phone, it does not matter if your using bt or not, then enables proximity sensor if your on the phone even if your not using bt. hope this helps

Is there an HTC Footprint cab that will work on the Imagio?
There isn't a footprint cab, but if you get the camera all modes cab, they have a geo-tagging option, which is kinda the same as footprinting.
I got that, do you mean the GPS photo option.

That's not what he's looking for. Footprints is GPS tagging + a TF3D tab.

That is GPS Photo capture...I know he wanted footprints but it was explained that there is no cab so I was offering up the next best thing...(pretty much the exact same thing)

Its not gonna have its own Tab...but it will have the GPS photos in the camera modes.
The only thing I really miss from my old TyTN II is WeatherPanel with its extensive information. However, the default HD2 weather is fine for everything except the missing sunrise/sunset times. Does anyone have a small app to suggest that I can install? Sunrise PPC 1.4 is unacceptable because it doesn't save settings (as far as I can tel).
Thanks in advance.

excellent ideea! I need too!
I need too, anyone can help us?
Weather4me gives sunrise and sunset info. bouncing around on bus, can't search for link at the mo ; )

This has worked well for me for quite awhile: http://www.brothersoft.com/mobile/sun.n.moon-60299.html
So why don't you reinstall weatherpanel app on your HD2 ? I have it with diamond skin and it works fine.

Exactly what I did. Once I found the "Darkness231 TF3D to WeatherPanel Switcher.cab" which allows quick switching between views, I re-installed WeatherPanel and tweaked it to look somewhat like the rest of the HD2 views.

I have a question to all HD2 TMOUS owners. Does this device have digital compass? Does it work properly with the Google Maps application?
The reason why I am asking is because it wasn't mentioned in the specs of this phone on the official HTC website. However it was mentioned in the specs of the Europe version of this device.

It don't remember if it is in the stock ROM (the app that is), but it is in the one custom ROM that I use (NRG ROMs). So, the ability is there even if the app isn't.
It works well.
works well

glad to hear that!
thank you

Please, my friend, help us on gettting this to work. How can we have the integration between Digital Compass and Google Maps? What should we do?
Thank you.
[EDIT]
Hey, I found this cab and it works on my Tmobile HD2. Just to be sure, I also intalled the newest version of Google Maps. Good luck!

5MB is a huge cab! Amiright? What exactly does the compass do with google maps that google maps can't do without it?

I thinking (hoping) that what it does is provide accurate orientation information when there's little or no movement for gmaps to interpolate heading.
EDIT: also, the cab he has attached above is for the full compass app, not the tweak to make it work with gmaps

Here you go.
I have purchased the htc hd2 tmobile us in april. I have tried to run the digital compass but I have never had a success in using the app. I always get stock at the magnetic interference screen. I've tried every figure eight style you can imagine but it never works.
I recently noticed that is a big problem for me because I'm starting to use the gps feature on the phone.
Could someone help me on how to fix it ?
Thanks in advanced.
(i've already searched google and tried figure 8 vertically and it still doesn't work)
