okay so for the first sew days apps2sd 2.5 was working on my phone. i had 124 mb free up from around 42mb. now today i install an app that was about 6mb and it took it away from the internal storage bringing me to about 114. i uninstalled the app, but it still said i only had 114mb free. i did it with another program now im down to 108. does anyone know what went wrong?
It's probably just the data for the apps, as that is still stored on the phone memory, and does not clear when uninstalling.

Thanks. that was the problem. I had to manually go into the tmp folder and delete them. There were about 15mb of apps in there!
keep in mind all data for your apps is stored there (/data/data), including your sms's, high scores, and info entered/stored in an app

Hey all
So far ive had no major probkens with my iconia (typing on it now) but today I haven't been able to install any apps from the market. Every time I try to install anything, the app downloads but doesn't install, and I get an "installation unsuccessful" message in the notification area.
Tried rebooting, clearing market cache, nothing seems to work. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Edit: I just checked storage in settings and it claims Im using 12gigs on applications? I dont think I am...ugh.
Make a second google account. In market go to accounts and select the new one. Should fix both. Worked for me

Yea, interrestingly enough mine does install apps, but sometimes I have to push 'back' and download/accept install again, before the app installs.
A bit annoying, but still works ok for me... anyone?!

you need at least 1 GB free space delete movies

mine is saying 10 gigs of media, funny all movies are on my sdcard. etf
Update deleted off my SD card and system storage went back up. am I missing something here
Funny thing is I don't have any movies or anything and there's no way I've already used 12 gigs on this thing. Weird.
Also I cannot seem to find my sd card. From.a file manager can only.pull up the internal storage

The Market has been very unstable as of late. I have like 105 apps installed. Sometimes it shows 64 sometimes 42. Before the latest update, I was able to delete market data and cache and it would find all of the apps again, but the newest Market doesn't offer that option.
I have done an exhaustive search on this issue and have found very little. Can anyone offer any help?
It's glitching and not reading apps moved to sd as installed. Restart the market and/or clear it's cache. Sometimes that fixes it for me. Other times a reboot helps.

You could try wiping data on the Market app from Titanium Backup.
If you've got TB pro, you could also run the Market Doctor.

You can't clear cache or data any more, hence my problem.

I'm not sure, myself, but I'm glad you're back in business!
Hey everyone,
I have the AT&T 32GB GS4. For the past few days, I have been experiencing odd battery drainages during the second half of the day. I was looking at the battery section of the settings menu, and when I turn off GPS through the notifications bar (when I'm done navigating), the GPS is showing that it is still running. It doesn't turn off until I restart the phone. Also, Google Services is taking up 40%+ of the battery and it hasn't done that ever. I've had this phone for a month.
Any ideas?

could be location service related or weather app related. freeze all apps you DL'd and check again.
That didn't work. I turned off all apps and cleared data for Maps. Also, none of my apps are allowed to use my location.

I recently restored my phone with clockworkmod recovery. After that, when I use Google Play, it doesnt download any apps I choose but my data manager shows that some app is downloading something. It wasted about 60 mb. My downloads started after that. I noticed an app called Google Settings. I could successfully stop the Google Play Store update using Terminal Emulater. But this Google Settings keeps installing after a restore. Any solutions to stop this hell update which eats my storage space. Thanks in advance.:what:

The Google Settings in question are the Google Play Services.
You can remove them but the Play Store (and some apps) require them, so i don't recommend to do so.
