Notification LED problem on iMate JAM

The JAM manual says there are various LEDs. For example, flashing blue when bluetooth is on. Flashing orange when the radio is on. Those are fine.
But there's also supposed to be a flashing red for alarms, notifications, etc. I've tried letting appointment reminders and clock alarms go off (yes, with the notification settings indicating that the light should flash) but all I get is the steady orange flash that indicates the radio is on. I've tried push email from Sproqit too. In fact, even after all alarms are dismissed and the radio is off, that orange light STILL flashes until I reset the device.
I've tried many Windows Mobile devices and never seen this before. Is this a JAM problem in general, or just my unit in particular? With that orange light always flashing and nothing else, I can't tell if my JAM has mail for me unless I turn it on.
Thanks.
Hi, om my MDA Compact the LED flashes GREEN when the radio is on and RED when I have a recieved call, notification, email or SMS. However, despite the optimistic naming of the color RED, in reality it is only orange, the same as when the device is charging. When you are charging the device and you miss/receive a call/notification/alarm/SMS the LED will flash orange, to show you missed an event. I Hope this helps, the color of the LED is not red, only orange

turn off green blinking light, how?

where do we need that blink if phone is working properly?
if there is message or low bat, bt or wifi connection, thats nice to know, but no need for green light to show that there is power.
so, how to disable that? registry hack or something i suppose.
thanks,
first time posting here...
My flashing light seems to do what it want's. If it flashes the right thing at the right time it's just coincidence...
Mat.. I think he's referring to e.g. the right-side green LED flash that pops up every 2 seconds when the radio is on. It can be a wee bit annoying when you've got the thing on your nightstand - some people simply can't fall asleep ( even though they should close their eyes, after which they can't see it anymore )
What does the orange light mean? It seems to change to orange whenever it wants!
afaik...
Left LED:
Green, Flashing slow (2s): WiFi on
Blue, Flashing slow (2s): BlueTooth on
Right LED
Red, Flashing quickly (1s): Battery nearly empty
Green, Flashing slow (2s): Radio on
Green, On: Fully recharged
Amber (orange), On: Recharging
Amber (orange), Flashing quickly (1s): Notifications (Alarm, SMS, MMS, etc. depending on settings)

How many LED's and what for?

Can you please tell me how many LED's are on Trinity and what kind of missing calls, messages notifications are present, hopefuly via LED which rapidly changing colors?
In the manual it says:
Left LED:
This LED shows the following:
• A blinking Blue light for Bluetooth system
notification of powered-up and ready to transmit
radio frequency signal.
• A blinking Green light for Wi-Fi status.
• When both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled, their
lights blink alternately.
Right LED:
This (bi-color) LED shows Green and Amber lights
for UMTS/GSM standby, UMTS/GSM message,
UMTS/GSM network status, notification, and battery
charging status.
Click to collapse
so, when I miss phonecall or sms this right LED will notify me by changing lights all the time until I confirm event, how visible it is? It is very important to me that just by looking at phone I know I have something to check.
Took me a while to check, but here it is:
When charging, the right LED will show a steady amber light, it turns steady green when fully charged. When not charging, the right LED will blink green to indicate GSM reception.
When you have recived a sms, or a call, which you didn't answer, the right LED will, whether it is charging or not, start to blink amber until you have read the sms, or have seen the incoming number.
So in short, blinking amber right LED is either a missed call, or sms.(probably mms too)
That's it, I'm planing to buy this wonder and your input is very helpful, thank you very much!

About the notification lights...

I plan on keeping Bluetooth on..forever (battery life pending). How can I turn the flashing blue (and yellow for the gsm thingy) off ??

HTC Touch 3G (Jade) Bluetooth LED Indicator missing and NetwrokLED Indicator Problem

I purchased HTC Touch 3G (Jade) Phone around 3 months back.
However I realized that the Bluetooth Blue color LED does not work when Bluetooth is enabled.
Also the Signal Indicator LED does not flash whenever the Network Signal is present.
I gave the phone to the service center and they told me that the motherboard needs replacement for the above LEDs to function. My question is :
1. Does HTC Touch 3G have a Bluetooth Indication and Network Signal indication LED ?
2. If not has HTC upgraded the motherboard to incorporate the Bluetooth and Signal indicator LED ?
The service center folks told me that motherboard replacement would solve the problem.
Could someone Please advice
Thanks
Sohel Sikandar
There is no hardware light, the status bar will show an indication when it is enabled.
Re:
Thank You for your reply.
The service center people have assured me that changing the motherboard will help. Either they have got some new model or ignorant about it.
My phone is lying with them since one week.
I dont know whether to trust them or get my phone back.
Also, what about the Signal Indicator not blinking when there is a signal? Do you have any idea what could be the problem ??
Regards
Sohel Sikandar
There's no signal indicator led and no bluetooth led present on this phone.
Read your manual and you'll find that there's only one led near the speaker (left of it) and it's only used as message and charge indicator.

The same question I want to ask, now I got the answer, thanks.
Hi
My Jade has a green led that blinks that indicates gsm network signal.
The "LED" on the right is the light sensor.
