Its starting to get confusing now that more and more X2 threads are arising, can it really not have its own place in the forum because maybe just as a sub section for the x1 or something its starting to get confusing...

I have done that, and others have done that too.
But where is the X2 subforum????
Do we really need the X2 subforum? To what degree are applications/hacks for X1 applicable also for X2?
Most of it is problems related to the X2 and its going to confuse many people too especially new members to the forum and they'll end up doing a X2 tweak and muck up their X1...

They're quite different devices
It would be a good idea! One must be very careful, since X2 is mentioned everywhere, and most topics are titled like X2, Rom, Solution here...then you start to read all happy, at the end it turns out its just another X2 Rom for X1 thread
So if possible, I'd like to see a X2 subforum, and all X2 related topics go in there...since there is a lot of people with a lot of problems, and its hard to find a X2 solution related topics among X1 threads...

I'm quite surprised that X1 and X2 are so different. They are, after all, build on the same hardware.
But then again, you still don't have any custom roms for X2...

Actually, sony ericssons supports seem to know very much about it. Ive been calling them with questions every now and then and they have never hesitated even the slightest.
it's not a matter of sonyericsson knowledge of device, it's a matter of modifying xperia and keep order on xda-forum

Right, but mods can relay requests to admins if they feel they're valid... I think of them as the liaison between the members and admin(s), so they're not bothered by "I NEEDZ TEH OMNIA FORUMMM".
By the way, is there more than 1 admin? Flar's the only one I've ever seen/spoken with.

Im on of the lucky first adopters of the x1 and i can just say im so pleased so far and now im just waiting for the touchflo 3d to be released for the x1 by some of the talented people here because touchflo 3d should run with ease on the x1 heck even better then the diamond and raphael. I have ordered it and it should be available within 3-4 days...

Some are positive but also some are negative...

To be fair, the OP's question is so vague that advising him to search is the only suitable answer to give. There are numerous threads on this forum that discuss the pros and cons of the HD2 and it wouldn't be too hard to search for them and get an idea of the problems that people are having.

But another discussion of what is good and bad would be too much (in particular: as he has already ordered the device he will have to do a lot of searching in the next weeks Get used to it.

Err.. Actually, it emphasises the point that it is so easy to do a search and get the answers you are looking for. Think I've seen about 10 threads already without searching regarding pro's and con's. Rude and condescending would be me telling you to f off and read the rules!

Short answer... the HD2 is for you if you are looking for a multimedia device.
If you want a business phone, forget about it... don't let that windows mobile thing tricks you.
HD2 is a Iphone competitor, just watch HTC's CEO annoucing the Leo and comparing it to the Iphone...

I called the MAIN sony Ericsson Service in Poland today
and talked to a very nice and competent man
He has weekly videoconferences with :se:
regarding service and technical issues
So - he noted everything I said
he will pass this further/higher!
I told him all the "truth" regarding this device
and also that in the end I want
to be rather a happy se customer
than a pitbull fighting with the company.
The problem is I don't really see any alternative for X2.

when i was reading your other post on your filings sbouth X2 afther MR1 upgrade I got an idea. Every user who has problems when using X2 should write an email to SE and resend it every single DAY. They will have to do something.
Even I am sick of X2, when it stops working using even only the basic features, and I got it for free. X2 is an embarassement. When I was sitting by the table in a coffie shop I proudly put my X1 on the table. But then with X2 its not the same. X2 is left in my pocket and not on the table.
Today I was driving from work and I wanted to use Gmaps and GPS just for fun and when I turned on the GPS the google maps crashed. I was so pissed I almost crashed my car.
X2 Should be a premium device. It looks like one, costs like one. But it just doesnt act like one (and it also could have newer HW).
Shure SE had to finish X10 but what abouth us WM xperia fans!? We helped xperia brand to puck up back in 2008. Are we just piles of $h1t to them?
If the upgrade in may (6.5.3) isnt perfect Im quiting SE (and I was a total fan since T68i).
Its up to SE.

Good Luck To All You Guys, I Won't Be Buying A Sony Ericsson Again. Shame, because this would have been my third s.e flagship phone i'd had and before my x1 broke 3 times, i was really considering buying one.
But after reading this, i'm glad i didnt. Never going to s.e again. Htc or LG this time, maybe a Toshiba if it ever comes out, or possibly android. So Many Options..

Dear all, this is my first post, but I always used to read this great forum and it even helped me to repair bricked phones, when even specialists couldn't do it.
Now the reason why I opened this topic is that there are hundreds of ROM-s for X1, but only several for X2, maybe I don't know and X1 ROM can go on X2, am I wrong? Please advice what ROM is best for my X2? Any help will be much appreciated.
