I think even if you/we are able to achieve some kind of
satisfactory state of X2 usability
You'll agree those problems are beyond acceptance.
We have a flagship device
600 Euro high end device
With basic operation problems and failures
widely confirmed by 99% of users.

Today I called SE.
Guys I don't think we can just leave it this way.
This is extremely rude and incompetent behaviour.
I've already sent info to WMPoweruser
and they published that.

I absolutely don't accept the fact that
I have to rip off half of the device to make it work!!!
I called the MAIN sony Ericsson Service in Poland today
and talked to a very nice and competent man
He has weekly videoconferences with :se:
regarding service and technical issues
So - he noted everything I said
he will pass this further/higher!
I told him all the "truth" regarding this device
and also that in the end I want
to be rather a happy se customer
than a pitbull fighting with the company.
The problem is I don't really see any alternative for X2.

when i was reading your other post on your filings sbouth X2 afther MR1 upgrade I got an idea. Every user who has problems when using X2 should write an email to SE and resend it every single DAY. They will have to do something.
Even I am sick of X2, when it stops working using even only the basic features, and I got it for free. X2 is an embarassement. When I was sitting by the table in a coffie shop I proudly put my X1 on the table. But then with X2 its not the same. X2 is left in my pocket and not on the table.
Today I was driving from work and I wanted to use Gmaps and GPS just for fun and when I turned on the GPS the google maps crashed. I was so pissed I almost crashed my car.
X2 Should be a premium device. It looks like one, costs like one. But it just doesnt act like one (and it also could have newer HW).
Shure SE had to finish X10 but what abouth us WM xperia fans!? We helped xperia brand to puck up back in 2008. Are we just piles of $h1t to them?
If the upgrade in may (6.5.3) isnt perfect Im quiting SE (and I was a total fan since T68i).
Its up to SE.

Good Luck To All You Guys, I Won't Be Buying A Sony Ericsson Again. Shame, because this would have been my third s.e flagship phone i'd had and before my x1 broke 3 times, i was really considering buying one.
But after reading this, i'm glad i didnt. Never going to s.e again. Htc or LG this time, maybe a Toshiba if it ever comes out, or possibly android. So Many Options..

hi folks, i recently found this application 'Point UI'. You may find some other threads for this, as well. It provides kindda iPhone interface to windows mobile. I ain't crazy for Apple iPhone user interface and themes, but i am sure, there are some people who would definitely appreciate a change.
This software, i have tried on WM5/WM6, works perfectly on them. People usin' WM2/WM3, can try at their own risk and lemme know the compatibility. It is not exactly iPhone interface, but the basic Slide and Touch Navigation works perfectly fine without any hassles. On top of that, people like me, usin' windows mobile with the same good old interface would surely enjoy this change.
And sorry, for not being able to post this application here. Some account related issue, is there. That's why i am posting it on rapidshare. You can PM me, if you face any difficulty in downloadin' i'll e-mail it to you.

I think you could stay more polite here! Do you want to go through 500+ pages to find a post when you are looking for it then go on supporting double posting! In my opinion this is kind of double posting beacuse everywhere in this forum posts concerning PointUI are popping up and on each page you'll find the string 'PointUI' at least one time!

I thought I'd put your statement to the test! On entering this forum, there is only this thread which mentions PointUI, therefore unless one is used to the ways of how forums work and this one in particular, only a search would have revealed what you are saying.
Sometimes people come across things in different places and believing they have found something amazing, they just rush over to xda devs to share the good news.
More experienced ones are more inclined to do an internal search first.
Whilst I agree that you are right about being more polite here...apologies to anyone offended, you might take some time out to remember what it's like to be a newbie at something or less experienced than someone else.
Someone makes an innocent mistake by 'who's standards?' but it is very helpful to others who happen to be browsing.
Anyway nuff said. I'll keep quite for now, but if anyone ever flames me like that, I'm sure to speak up.

Right, but mods can relay requests to admins if they feel they're valid... I think of them as the liaison between the members and admin(s), so they're not bothered by "I NEEDZ TEH OMNIA FORUMMM".
By the way, is there more than 1 admin? Flar's the only one I've ever seen/spoken with.

Im on of the lucky first adopters of the x1 and i can just say im so pleased so far and now im just waiting for the touchflo 3d to be released for the x1 by some of the talented people here because touchflo 3d should run with ease on the x1 heck even better then the diamond and raphael. Now I have your attention, well only some of you.
I hate to write this but its getting beyond a joke these days. Every "chef" out to make a $ by releasing their "customised" work of original HTC roms, you get some crazy satisfaction about your ROM's being on others devices. Those base ROM's should be freely available to ALL users, not locked away and not being released straight away to make sure you have the "edge". Sure you have contacts in HTC that give you the ROM's before anyone else, ****, who cares. It will get out one way or another, why not publicly post it for everyone to get access to it? You all know who you are and its pathetic, I'm sure most of you have real jobs out there and if you don't, jesus, get one.
Sure "chefs" might modify some DLL's to get "better" performance but even then, its not your IP, its HTC's/Microsoft etc etc.
At the end of the day, we're all a community who support each other, so why bite the hand that feeds you?
Without commenting on your remarks, I'd be more interested to hear from someone what is new in 1.66 and 2.06, how they relate to each other comment what the differences are.

That's the thing, if it was public like it should be, everyone else would know. But it has mainly updated apps (Compass, Album, Camera etc etc), but still requires the SMS Fix.
I really don't think there's a need for such accusations and hostility. The last time this happened (over the whole Rhodium/Topaz leak fiasco) it ended with a lot of bad blood and several good chefs refusing to cook for the xda community anymore!
There are already several cooks working with the new 1.66 base. Have you personaly been denied access to the sources?
Please lets not see a repeat of last years silliness. It was not good for this great community.

I'm simply saying that this has happened before, hermes days, where certain people like to hold things back from the community. All it takes is to post a single link to the source.
Honestly mate, I wouldn't stress. It appears the 1.66 build has just been leaked today and I'm willing to bet that before you know it a stock rom will be available to all. You can't blame those that got hold of it first trying to integrate it quickly into their roms. Flashing has become quite the sport these days Have you tried asked any of the cooks using it, what their source is?

1.66 has been available since the 8th of Jan, and certain people have had it since then. Now I'm not naming names, I just find it pathetic they don't release it.
No I don't blame them for trying to get there first, but its not a race here people, its a community place where we're supposed to help the community.

Not really no, but it doesn't bother me where their source is, just annoyed they haven't shared the "fruit" with the rest of the community, I'm trying to make it more transparent here. The more people with access to it the better!

Well I understand the OP frustration but I usually just try to ignore it. There has been some of this going on in the recent past where someone gets a build and they share it only with about 4 certain other people with instructions not to share to anyone else. All the while these four or five people release ROM's with the new build while everyone else has to wait. I can't blame the guys it is given to as I'm sure they are glad to be getting it. The point is it makes it look really privatizing that the same 4-5 people always have the new stuff before others.
But as always it will surface before too long. But it may take a week as the others have not released their ROM with it yet.

we got 2.1, the only good that can come of this is the brillant dev's here taking the crap sprint dishes out and making something truly awesome. Which is really hard to imagine since DC's current rom is pretty dam on the money, at least for me anyway.

I think the post is accurate, it does say HTC Hero roll out April 16th FOR Europe though “Nordic/Greek/RUS/UKR/SA” regions. They say it will trickle down to Sprint which will most likely be April 30th which sounds pretty close.
I could've sworn this was a discussion forum about the development of the CDMA Hero. Weird.
I must be lost because these people don't want to know any of the news (which does often include rumors).
I went for HTC Desire. There will be probably another member coming here as I sold my X10. I wish you all the best of luck and hope the update will be worth the wait. I simply did not have the patience. Desire is a wonderful piece of a phone. What I am sorry for is the big screen of X10. I still cannot get used to the smaller one.

If you know you're not contributing anything of value, why contribute?
I don't see the point of announcing to the world that you sold your phone like it's some big deal. People sell and buy new phones every single minute of the day.... if all of them felt so possessed to make a post about it, this forum would be completely spam.

I never seen such a whiny *****, even the kids on xbox live don’t complain as much as you do. I love free speech for sure, still you have to relax, I can already picture you smashing your keyboard and screaming at your computer .

Exactly - why do people spend so much time complaining about each other...
People are free to say what they want to, but in the right places. I agree that we shouldn't allow so many repetitive threads to pop-up, but if there is no alternative, then why not?
the guy just wants to inform us he sold his x10. Wish him the best of luck with the new phone. I might just do the same tomorrow don't have the patience to wait longer for 2.1
Goodbye tvachev. My patience would have gotten the best of me too if money allowed it too. I simply can't afford to go out and buy a $x00 phone, and not a lot of people want to purchase this one. I hope you enjoy the new piece of hardware.

BUT I agree with the OP that there is no need for such hostility. This seems to happen when ever anyone says anything negative about their x10. Why can't people just be allowed to have their opinion whether they like the phone or not.

Sigh. There's a difference between being negative about the phone while being mature and the glut of "F$#@ SE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111" posts that I ***** about.
Say all you want about the lack of multitouch, 65k colors, or "low" call volume. Be as negative as you want... but it lacks completely class if your posts consist of "SE RAPED MY SISTER BY DELAYING 2.1". The people who are calling for "free flow" of opinions are the ones who ***** the absolute most.
I'd say 90% of this forum is far *****ier than me, if you read the posts on here. Y'all will never be happy, with anything. I can't wait until SE releases an update that gives you $1000 everytime you turn it on. People will complain that $1000 isn't enough.

Only problem with that is by the time the X10 gets the 2.1 other phones will be running gingerbread and the value for the X10 will drop even more.
