Dunno , bur ID you can wair 2~3 data i can try it . Just neet to Get my x10 first
i think there is no nonWin32-skype-app that is supporting this.
Fring
Is working on my 5800 XM but Xperia X10 doesn't have a front camera so ....
I didn't think that web cam was working on a phone tbh.
But the x10 does not have a front camera, so it doesn't work mate
Atleast not to show your own camera, but to see others should be possible.
But someone would have to code the software for it first.
And as far as I know... there is no such software yet

Webcam as like in uses for Netmeeting? I'm not sure but that a look at Microsoft Portrait it now supports Smartphone.
Microsoft Portrait can be found at:

HTH
i got Ms Portrait but it didn't recognize the internal cam of the imate anyone got it working ?
Protrait has a lot of potential, however its current incarnation cannot utilise the XDAII's camera, nor do full duplex sound. Also the very low data rate audio codec is no longer part of the platform, so cannot be used. If these are fixed in the next release, it'll be quite a neat little appliation, even if you have to keep turning the device around to let the other person see you - I suppose you might be able to rig something up with a small mirror.
have anybody been able to get the cam in xda2 working with Microsoft Portrait ?
i have tryed it..
all functions working ,can receive video calls (but without audio) or audio calls (but without video only) mah..
The Xda2 cam isnt supported and I've mailed to MsResearch who replyed me that they DO NOT plan a Xda cam support.
Good Microsoft..
Maybe someone can find and insert Xda2cam Driver into the app?
(now i am writing from my Xda2 with Multie, cool, isn't it?)
Regards

Yeah, of course they don't... first of all that would be the responsibility of the hardware manufacturer...
Secondly, that camera is on the wrong side of the PocketPC. Tell me how you are going to do a video call with the camera on the backside
d
use mirrors
or if you use video phoning to avoid going to the dentist you can just put the phone in your mouth and he can checkfor mildew and algae?s
But you don't wanna let us know about any demanding treatments the far side of your body would require, will you
no sorry ever since THAT picture series hit the internet i have don my best to pretend it's not me on those phones
Hello,
I recently updated my T-Mobile MDA III to WM6 and everything worked fine, until I recently noticed that I can use the camera only with the integrated application, while any other cam software doesn't work. Do you know any solutions for this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Paschulke507
Ye, my bro has the same problem... he is using XDA IIs
What do you mean by you can "use camera only with the integrated application"??? I really dont understand....
I mean the camera works with the software that was installed when I bought the pda, however i doesn't work with any other cam software I install. The software that was installed when I bought it has no name actually it has a cam icon and says camera. After I updated to WM6 it has again that app and the camera works only whit it.
yeah, that seems to be a problem on the wm6 upgrades. i think the camera app has been changed(the codings, maybe), that's why any other app that wants to use the camera cant use it coz it is different.
Same Problem After Upgrading to WM6.1 (27/2/08)
I've got the same problem only in condition that i can use it for first video recording. After first successful attempt, there's no more working camera for both pic shot or vid record.
Hi people,
Does anyone know if there is any software out there that would allow us to make VOIP calls and use the front camera of the Atom Life? I just purchased the Life after over 2 years of using my trusty original Atom........I had hoped to be able to use the front camera for SKYPE type calls but it does not seem possible......also must say how crap the 64mb for RAM is, My originasl Atom was great in cpmparison to the Life which seems to leak RAM at every orifice.....
Thanx for any pointers in the VVOIP front.
I managed to find a download from www.octro.com but it is in the Beta phase and the front camera does not work yet. but worth a play if you want this functionality. Also you can try www.imichat.com but that is not to support PPC only Symbian so far but the application looks better than Octro.
hi guys
i just wanted to know whether video call is possible on hd mini or not
I can't see it as an option on the stock HTC model, and there's no front camera, so probably no.
Some mobile phones like some Sony Ericsson 08-09 models without front camera have the option of Video Call but they use the one and single back camera.
Since HD mini supports 3g signal (i don't know much about signals) as the old sony ericsson phones, "normally" it CAN support video call but not with stock software.
I don't know if there is any way to find a software for a video call but should be nice!
