Hey guys
Im wondering if its possible to access the photolight in my program? Dont know where to look to find out.
Thanks in advance
I can't tell you 100% sure, but I heard that Android support the LED from version 2.0/2.1
I noticed that Barcode Scanner offer the option to turn on the camera light, and it works on my X10. So I'd assume that there are software hooks that work in 1.6.
start your camera, and push the silver button (one with 4 squares on it)..
advanced settings, then photo light
I know how to get it on like that but i want to make an app as just a flashlight. Is there anywhere that shows you how to use specific hardware?
@beermonkey182 if you manage to find this out and make this app, I'll buy it
Well. Enable it with barcode scanner and it's enabled every time you start the app. Problem solved.
there is a free app in the market named "Xperia Flashlight", comes with widget, works wonderfull
LED Light ver 1.0.0 is for HTC but also works great on Xperia X10
There is also a great wee app called 'Flash Light'
If you search in the market for X10 you should find it.
Its great because it can be used as an app and/or a widget!

when i enter media-scape then pic then friends i saw my contact friend's pictures and when i open any of them there is only 1 picture in each although before there were a lot of images for them although i have more than 8 GB of albums
what can i do ??
anyone can help me in this /?
Maybe you used Task killer and the Face Recognition app/service was killed. Not sure since I haven't used that feature yet.
Hi,
The face recognition isnt really consistently working for me. I shot two pictures with smile shutter and only in one it gave me the option to Tag the person in the Pic (which is not the same as setting it as contact picture)
So i dont really know ..
By the way the feature does not seem to work with dark-skinned people all to well ...
i think it is a problem with the software hope the updates become better
sounds a bit like the problem hp had with one of their web cams lol

Running an "older" rom (mid September) that is very stable and im very happy with.
Only problem is it the camera/cam-corder apps, they want me to use the trackball to take a picture.
....i have no trackball.
I've run across other roms with camera apps that use the on screen shutter button. is there any way to snatch this app and copy/install it to my working android rom?
...and yes. I've done many many searches, problem is just too many irrelevant posts are popping up.
i use a 3rd party camera, like Vignette or FX Camera.. also Camer MAgic isnt too bad.. all are free from the MArket Place

You tap and hold anywhere on the screen. The auto-focus will kick in and turn green, and it should take the picture.
Which Android build are you using? The 3 builds I've tried had the statement above in their README/FAQ sections.
Hi guys
I know it is mention that when you take pictures with the flash on, it has a green tint.
But even the normal camera (Without flash) has lots of exposure, is there some camera software or something, to try and enhance the camera quality?
I must say, on WM 6.5, the pictures was outstanding, but there has to be something one can do to try and get the complete camera functionality back?
Thanks!
yes, try this one:

This does not get rid of the tint. Unless there ia some new update to it. I never understood the purpose of this app.
Use foto enhancer

I have the same problem and the only fix that I use is "Foto Enhancer"
is a free aplication and you can downloar from market place. When open the foto tap in the three dots and open "extras" then "photo enhancer" will show up and use it to change the appeareance of your photos.
Yeah, I gotta agree. The camera & this second app take the same pictures with the same green tint?! So the app is useless for me. This is the only "real" problem I have running WP7 on my HD2. Other than that it's pretty flawless, for me.
The tint is driver related.
The Second camera app fixes the issue of auto focus, and it saves your previous settings, so their is plenty of points to use it instead.
I second that...I´m deeply impressed by the usability of WP7 (didn´t think that it will be that smooth ). The one and only thing I´m really disappointed with is the camera. At this moment I can´t say that I´m missing something from Android except for Vignette, which was a very useful camera app that makes me made outstanding photos!
I really hope that there will be an opportunity for devs to get a better driver from somewhere... (but where should this somewhere be? )

I am with you on that one, i was sceptical upgrading to WP7, but i must say, it rocks. I love the automation of the software, contacts integration into Facebook....
Fantastic, the camera tho, is not good at all.
Hope some of the Devs, get a fix for the driver, as the Camera was untouchable on WM 6.5....
Where to get the build?

I wanted to know where to get the best working WP7 build for HD2?
The camera is the only reason I had to go back to WP 6.5 and or Android. My wife always has me taking pics when we go out and uploading to FB lol. The green tint is unacceptable. Can't wait for a fix so i can reinstall 7.

I must say, foto enhancer works quite nicely.
It does not help for the green tint on the flash, but for the rest of the photos, it works wonders.....
All my fotos has over exposure........... that fixes it with the auto enhancer.
Thanks!
I tried to take a picture to a document in a completly dark place , and I couldn´t focus, i tried with default sense camera, camera zoom and camera 360, in my previous phone, samsung i900 it switch on the flash while focus an then took the picture.. i cant do it with hd2.. any help will be highly appreciated..
t seems that anyone ere likes to take pictures in the dark)
Yeah i know where your coming from, anywhere it's very dark or very bright it's impossible to see when your trying to focus,i was on the beach today with my son and taking some snaps of him playing and i couldn't see with the sun but thankfully the photos turned out ok but with my old digital camera i was able to see a lot more.
Just take the picture. The flash will come on and the picture will be able to be seen.
This is something I was stuck at too. Normally, on a phone with flash, in the dark, trying to focus would temporarily activate the flash to let the phone see where to focus, and then fix the focus on the spot and shoot the picture.
My HD2 won't do that. Just one of the little things no one thought of.
use the torch app widget to flick the torch on, it will; stay on when you jump to camera and focus will work.

pro-hdr-camera has a torch option in the flash settings which keeps the led on so you can focus in complete darkness, bought it just for that feature. also take pretty decent shots.

Just the other day I found that in the camera flash option menu, in the camera app, there was an option for the flashlight.
I installed the OTA yesterday, and now that option is gone.
Anyone know how to get that option back? it's probably one of the most useful features of the camera app.
I cannot help here, but related Question is, and this may be of use to you too.
A Better Camera apk does allow the torch to be on before and of course during the shot.
This app works much better in low light but not as good as our regular cam in other respects.
Any one know of app that does this?
