Using different firmware from 64bit OS

Hello,
I have been looking at some of the different firmwares available and would really like to install some of them. The problem with this is that I use Vista64 and it doesnt support 16bit...I have downloaded and tried to install a couple but it just says its not supported becuase its 16bit - is there anything i can do to make it work?
Has anyone else had this problem? Did you find a fix to it?
Cheers,
Piers
PS: I am using Vista64 Ultimate and an O2 XDA Orbit.
I had to download vmware and then run xp 32bit in a virtual machine in vmware to be able to flash my phone in vista x64...

[HOW TO] KFHD 7 MTP Driver Problem Windows 7 N Version

Hey there,
I found a solution for the MTP-Driver issue under Windows 7 N Edition.
A few days ago I bought a new SSD Drive for my Desktop.
So i decided to install a fully new Windows on it, cause my windows 7 x64 was about 4 years in use now and doesnt worked reliable.
I decided to give Windows 7 N Version a try, cause it comes without some futures i thought i would not need.
ATM I use this KF First Aide with my KFHD 7
Installation of the ADB Driver worked without a problem, but i still got the yellow triangle on MTP Driver.
Tried then to install the driver manually using windows update. it didnt find a driver for MTP.
Tried to install the MTP device manualy selecting MTP Device in the "all devices" list (Standard MTP Device).
But this didnt work either.
After hours of searching i found a thread that led me to this :
As promised by Microsoft the N Version comes WITHOUT the Windows Media Player.
But as it seams the Windows Media Player contains the MTP Driver.
For god sake microsoft provides a pack to install it manually Media Feature Pack für Windows 7 N
This works of course only with original Windows as u have to pass a Genuine Verification to download it.
After installing the pack. The windows update found 2 other updates. i got them too and restarted my system. Now the triangle is gone. And my KFHD is recognised as Portable Device and everything works fine.
Dunno weather it will work with other Windows 7 Versions.

This is just ridiculous..
I have Windows 8.1 N Pro installed and can't use either, because it is missing the MTP driver. The fact that i have to install the Media Feature Pack to use a fundamental feature of my PC is just F***** UP! It is just Microsoft's way of giving the finger to the EU, and it makes the N-version completely useless.
But i refuse to install Windows Media Player and all that other crap just to use my Nexus 5 with my new laptop. If i have to write to the EU to try and make them force Microsoft to make the driver available as a standalone install, i will. This is just principally wrong of Microsoft, but really not surprising.
If people would just boycot Microsoft they might learn. But that will never happen, unfortunately..

Windows 10 pro download

Windows 10 has been released today. I wanna download this ISO: en_windows_10_multiple_editions_x64_dvd_6846432.iso
I am not an MSDN subscriber neither do I wanna use that $hitty Microsoft tool from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Is there any mirror for that file out there? Has somebody downloaded the ISO already? Mind sharing? Please?
Also, I have genuine Windows 7 pro that came with the PC and I have the product key. Will the key work for Windows 10 pro? Since Windows 10 is a "free" upgrade, I guess it would work?
Check out my thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10/general/windows-10-download-links-t3169969
here is the link to pro 64 read my thread for others... http://fg.ds.b1.download.windowsupd..._9d40e15f430ab89a1eabb165acbf40c9f07d18bb.esd
Nothing ****ty about the tool. It will allow you to do a direct upgrade, which ive done flawlessly to 5 different systems. Also allows you to download the iso of your choice.
You must upgrade to get your key for Windows 10 after which you may wipe and do a clean install.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using XDA Free mobile app
Don't mess around with this, just get the .ISO file directly from Microsoft with Home/Pro edition in same ISO without the tool here:

Just an FYI, the version that’s currently on the Nuvision website works.
It’s not an iso, at least it doesn’t download as one. I took that file and created an iso and used a usb bootable maker to create the usb drive.
It recognized it upon restarting in advanced mode. The installer is in another language but it got me up and running again.
Just wanted to put this out there.
You can use the NuVision image if you wish (You just extract the RAR to your USB drive and then boot it in your tablet), or you can create installation media using the Windows Media Creation tool (or UUPtoISO if you want to use Insider Preview downloads from another machine).
As long as you use the correct processor architecture, you don't need the NuVision restore package (It's also out of date and no longer supported by Microsoft as it's version 1511, or maybe it was 1603 either way it's unsupported as of now). Some drivers maybe, but a lot of those are available via WU (I've never had to actually install any drivers doing a clean install from a Windows ISO).
This also applies to the NuVision TM800W560L, any 32-bit image will boot and work properly for installing Windows. If you look into installing 64-bit Linux on the W560L though, it's a little more complicated (yes, you can install 64-bit Linux, but not Windows. This is because the Linux kernel can replace UEFI Runtime Services if it needs to, which booting a 64-bit Kernel with a 32-bit version of GRUB causes UEFI to disable access to Runtime Services, which is why Windows cannot run like this and bugchecks with UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR.)

Windows tablet, (Intel Atom) Drivers

I have installed Android 10 on my switch by have not installed GApps. The link on this forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-switchroot-android-10.4229761/ has a link to the https://download.switchroot.org/android-10/icosa-tab-20210510-rel.zip file for the operating system but it does not work and errors 404. I have also tried opening the link in a new tab with no luck. So I downloaded a later version from here https://download.switchroot.org/android-10/ (version 20220408) but the GApps is for version 20220430. When I installed GApps onto the Switch it is stuck booting into lineage which some say is because of an incompatible version of GApps. Does someone know how to fix this or where to find the correct files?
I used this file to make it work for anyone with the same problem https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=2981970449027564091
For anyone who needs drivers for these windows tablets with an Intel atom cpu and 2GB RAM (usually the same tablet with different branding) use these downloads
