As an AT&T user, I bought an unlocked Samsung Omnia II (GT-I8000) from eBay but it is Arabic which I don't know at all.
Can you please tell me how I can change the language to English?
Actually, I found this from internet and followed the steps but the language would not changed to English.
1. Power up the phone (of course)
2. Once the main screen has appeared press the "cube" button.
3. Select the blue and silver cog icon (Settings) at bottom right of screen
4. Select the General Settings Icon, third option down (displayed as a
puzzle and cog icon)
5. Scroll down to the last but one option. (Samsung TouchWiz UI is the
final option).
6. Three Arabic options are displayed. Select the middle option (English).
7. Select the Arabic option at the bottom left of screen (if the
following message doesn't appear then I got it mixed up and it should
have been the right).
8. You should get an English message asking if you are sure you want
to change the setting (You know you do!).
9. Phone reboots and bingo it should be English.

Hey guys,
I "installed" quickmenu, works great except when I want to go to Settings it states "empty". So I have to "uninstall" to get through the original startmenu to settings.
Does anyone know how I can get to settings with Quickmenu??
That's probably because your windows isn't English. I have the same problem in Polish version.
You can either tap and hold the windows logo (if you haven't disabled this option - i did), so that the classic menu shows up, or go to quickmenu options, then to commands tab. look for an entry named settings, select it and press "Create shortcut". Then place the newly created shortcut in your /windows/menu start/settings (or equivalent path in your language). Now, when you open the steeings section in quichmenu, you'll have only that shortcut in there. When you press it, another menu, this one containing actual settings will pop up.
I like the second way much more, since settings appear in a cascadable menu, not in the standard fullscreen window manner.
or go to /windows/starmenu and create there a folder called "Settings"
you will have then one empty settings folder in you native language and another working one in english
Thanks, works great..
I have noticed that in many applications (Spb applications for example) the drop-down boxes cannot be opened. So you are obliged to choose the default option.
Anybody knows why this is happening and if it can be fixed?
There is no solution yet.
You have to wait for SPB to release a new version.
There is a fiddly workaround:
1. click in the drop-down so that the contents is highlighted
2. open the soft keyboard
3. use the up/down cursor keys on the soft keyboard to scroll up or down the drop-down box options.
4. tap Enter on the soft keyboard when your preference is displayed in the non-dropping drop-down box.
5. Voila!
for spb, download latest version...
Hi to everybody,
I have TomTom 7.910.9185 installed on my HD.
It works fine but the keyboard is too small in portrait mode screen.
Anybody know how to increase te keyboard size? (of course without rotate the screen )
Thanks a lot
Gianni
My keyboard is approx 50% of the screen plus the spacebar.
You may have the small keyboard selected
Change the size by ..
1. Open Tomtom to the normal map view
2. Tap on the screen to get the menu
3. Select [Change preferences]
4. Tap the next arrow four (4) times until you can select [Keyboard preferences]
5. Select [Large keyboard] and select [Done]
6. Select [QWERTY keyboard] and select [Done]
7. Select [Done] until you find yourself back at the main screen.
Select a 'Navigate to' and your new larger keyboard will be available.
I have a question regarding the user menu of individual applications. Specifically, it is a CZ GiboSMS software (do you even WinRar), where after you click the standard button "options" menu go displayed in WM6 not offer TF3D. This can be done somehow? Perhaps I well described. ROM original HTC. Image problem here

Apology for the English, I used google translator
wrinte in own language
don't understand. please write in CZ and will seek a solution
He can't see TF3D finger friendly pop up menu in GiboSMS app (sometimes in winRar). He only can see classical windows pop up menu with smaller layout (2nd screenshot). Everything works well in other apps.

No one, no solution?
I install the duck 6.5 lockscreen on my HD2 but there no effect after reboot.
I uninstall it however after reboot the default slidelock disappear.
Instead, the wm6.5 lockscreen reappeared.
How can I change back to the HTC slidelock?
Thanks a lot for any help!!
suggestion:
home screen - settings, click menu - advanced, select lock and and then the tab "screen". from the drop down menu, select the "windows standard" that is not selected (there are two in the list with identical names).
this at least works for me, changing from one lockscreen to another.
ps. these menu names and placements are translation from the norwegian ROM, so dont kill me if they are not identical
Thanks for your reply.
I've tried the two different items from the dropdown menu and both can't work. I think these setting is for the orignal screenlock for wm6.5 , not the HTC's own slidelock.
Anyway, thanks.
for me the lower one is htc's screen lock, and the upper one is the old MS one. i think i needed to soft reset to get the effect.
anyways, im sorry its not working for you
