I just got my HD2, and I'm very happy with it
I tried installing skyscape (Dr Drugs) on my device, but whole thing looks different from the one I had on previous device (all were qvga)
The layout is more finger friendly I guess, but still.. no search option! take a look at these pictures
the "Look for" bar that usually was at the buttom of the page is not there anymore!!
I tried with skyscape technical support, but the guy was clueless, just a waste of time....
did any of you guys had similar problem?? or had skyscape working properly for them??

When typing in the drugs do you just guess then? I'm looking into getting the HD2 but my Dr.Drugs on my tilt looks different than yours. Maybe try the 2010 version?
Otherwise do the skyscape aps work well?
well I tried typing before, it did not work, however today I tried again and it works fine, however it's very inconvenient!
I think if there is a keyboard that has a small tab at the top that shows whatever you are typing, it would be great...something like the full screen version of SPB keyboard, but in normal portrait position
I did a hard reset, and now everything works fine, still don't know why that happened in the first place
same happening to me. Tried hard reset. Worked. Then restored backup. Happened same issue. I don't want to install everything from scratch. Is there any other solution?

Try to copy the dll's to windows folder and reboot...
worked for me...

Do you mean the program that should start after pressing the green call-button? And do you also have Wisbar Advance installed by any chance?
I had this problem yesterday and almost made me hard reset the damn thing. Untill i realised that i changed Wisbar Advance to start up after sofreset. Somehow there is a bug in WA that will not let you startup the phone properly. Removing the autostart function of WA solved it for me.
No, I mean the phonepad input method. With T9 etc...
I've got WM5 on my mini s and I find that if I've been anywhere neer the task manager, it plays havoc with the phone. I just do a soft reset and this sorts it. A right pain, but it works!
In fact, I'm even more impressed with my spelling after re-reading that.
I have a t-mobile Vario III and the x-button worked fine from the title bar until i installed pocket plus 4, now having removed pocket plus as the UI seems much more responsive without it i have lost my x button from the top right of the screen :-(
In settings i have the boxes checked to enable it both for tapping and also to be on the home screen but its not there.
I went into settings and did a factory restore and now the x-button icon is gone from system settings completely !!
I have tried to install the x-button 2.0 cab from here without success as it just wont let me install it, either onto device or storage. (the original version on the device was 1.51)
Its really starting to bug me now lol so i`d be very grateful if anyone could help !

Nope that doesn`t work either, it wont even try to install that one, unlike v2 which it at least tries to install before telling me it wasn`t successful.

Very odd. Tho' probably due to it being installed and perhaps even running but not showing correctly.

So, whenever I get an mms message from anyone, it shows weird characters in the name field, and will never download the message. When I try and send a message, it says " your message of *whatever*K exceeds the limit of 1k.
Does everyone have this problem?
I switched from my Treo 700wx to the 6800 and really like it, cept this little issue has me scratching my head. Gotta be something obvious, but Im not getting it...

So, I did a hard reset, tested before and after restoring my data, and still had the same problem. Guess Ill be trading it for a new one...
I got this too actually and I was wondering if this happened to anyone else as well. Have you installed any .cab files? When I first got the phone it worked fine, then I installed Touchflo, the cube, HTC Home, and the Audio Manager. Some time after that I had that MMS issue.
I did a master reset which seemed to fix it, and I've just reinstalled everything except for the cube. Also, did you do the registry hack to disable the sent message notification? I did that the first time as well as the second time, I'm on my 3rd clean attempt and I haven't done that hack yet.
I hope someone has an answer for this.
I actually had the same problem and finally narrowed it down (through a series of hard resets and individual .cab installs) to the HTC audio manager i had installed. I noticed today in the forums there was a new version (Although supposedly unchanged) and it works fine, i've been relaxing to Chevelle while sending pictures. Found it toward the end of the HTC Original Cab Files thread.
Please don't kill me if this has been posted already, but I have searched and searched and searched.
I installed Manilla 2D and wasn't really feeling it, so I removed it. Well everything works fine except my quickdial pad on my touchflo cube. When I boot the phone I get an error message about the quickdial.exe program, and when I launch the cube, I can see the quickdial pad, but no names appear, and I can't activate it with touch.
Is there a registry tweak to fix this??? Or what can I do?? I REALLY don't want to do a hard reset, but if I do, will it go back to WM6 or will it stay WM6.1?
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

same thing happened to me ... i don't recall seeing an error about quickdial though... let me go to war with it and tell you what i find out.
well... tried everything i could think of... replaced Quickdial.exe with another version, tried two other cubes from different versions of the phone... looked through the reg... didn't fix it.
Backup your stuff and do a hard reset. it will go back to the last ROM you instaled.
If it still doesn't work, you nee to re-execute the ROM upgrade utility (RUU)
we'd rather not at this point
Ugh. Doing a hard reset for a simple dial pad makes my head hurt. I'm never installing another app on this phone that messes with the interface. I'll just stick with what it's got until the next phone.
If anyone thinks of another solution, PLEASE let me know. Hard reset is such a pain.

Main reason why i dont want to install Manilla 2D...
Mostly, do not instal BETA if you are not ready to do a hard reset... Or if you don't use an easy backup utility...
Especially when they mention it in the app's tread!
I don't understant why it seems so terrible for you guys to do a hard reset... I just did it with mine: It feels much lighter now!
The Manilla 2D replaces the default quick dial, so the files are altered. It's like trying to install the cube and HTC Home, at least in some instances. The two files conflict, so you'll need to hard reset.
Or, reinstall without the quick dial .cab, and use the customizer to remove the speed dial page.

Today I decided to try iDialer from Supware.net. After installing and soft reset, my device will not launch Touch Flo 3D. During the reboot, when the screen comes to the point where it launches Touch Flo, it now says "Tap here to launch TouchFlo"- something it has never done before. So I tap the screen it says "Launching TouchFlo 3D", but then switches back to the "Tap Here" message and stays stuck there. I have since removed iDialer with no success.
Can you please help me with this issue?? Something has gone terribly awry and I DO not want to have to perform a Hard Reset......

I had inadvertently edited a manila file and it caused the problem. All back to normal now.

hmm... sounds familiar...
I remember having that problem after installing a "D3D driver" or GLES files from somewhere. When I removed them everything went back! But thats just what I did, so, what did YOU do?
overwriting (libgles_cm.dll and libgles_mn.dll ) in the windows directory will do this to you -cause these symptoms, that is. If you did do that, go into windows and delete those files and reset, thus causing the OS to magically replace them from ROM.
Tell me if that works, maybe I can push it on CNN -no, seriously, I hope it works for you guys...

I had the same problem, I deleted everything and nothing changed so I had to make a hard reset. About 3 days ago i installed Pamas Transparent Slider and i had the same problem again. I turned off touchflo, removed the slider and then I made a soft reset and then tf3d loaded.

The UAD-TouchPROLandscapeE.cab i made here contains the full TF3D files from the TouchPRO (latest version as of 03/2009)
if its a problem with manila this should fix it, if this doesn't work then it might be hard reset time
Happened to me too, tried to change the language of TF3D and he did not open, back to English back to normal everything!

I have a Touch HD and have tried to replace libgles_cm and libgles_mn files (libgles_cm is part of the ROM and cant be deleted and libgles_mn didn't exist so I installed it), but alas, still no luck.
I also tried The New Landscape, but this didn't load either (I can see the Gecko app while browsing and can run the exe which lists various apps) but I cant get any front end on the screen.

i have no idea what i did to mine, i just plugged it into my xp machine to charge the bettery and some error came up on the computer screen about it not being able to synch and now touchflo will not launch. grrr i really hate HTC. Just going to do another damn hard reset, just like every other f'kn month. Using stock rom, if i had not paid so much for this pos i would have smashed it into dust months ago.

You may need the Diamond TF3D Config to be able to start TouchFlo 3D on devices
